HI!

One of my Play1 speakers, part of pair with a Beam, just suddenly started flashing red / white.

Steps taken so far:

  • Reset
  • Plugged into router via ethernet
  • Factory Rests

No luck so far. From what I’ve read so far this seems to be a failed update (?).

The Sonos App tries to add the speaker to the system - finds it, makes it chime, indicates that it’s been added, but doesn’t appear on the system. So the speaker seems to have some level of functionality, but seems bricked on the software side of things???

Is there any way to get the update to start again and un-brick the device?

Thanks!

Thanks, John!

I had already seen that article and have done the suggested reboot.
I was hoping that the community had any ideas or solutions before I contacted Sonos Support.

It shouldn’t make a difference, but is this an S1 or S2 system?

Have you ‘removed surrounds’ in the Beam Settings? (this might give a cleaner start point, but clutching at straws)

Further thought, I would also power off router, wait 30 seconds, power back on.

Just tried that - unfortunately no change. Red white flashing continues.
