Until recently I could use my iPhone to watch a Youtube video and play the audio on my Sonos One Now the Sonos One does not appear as a device to send sound to.Is there a workaround?Sonos say to use Youtube Music - this defeats the object as I want to watch a video.PS. I have a YouTube Premium account.

Hi All of a sudden my Sonos beam is making a loud bass distortion noise, I've turned bass down to see if its that and re done the true play. Also turned off and on, the distortion is not all the time but as soon as there is large amount of bass on a program it is really loud and lasts for a few minutes after the loud bass. Any Ideas?

Hello!  So I have encountered an issue regarding a recent order from a local retailer here in Riga, Latvia. I ordered SONOS Five from their internet store - https://www.tet.lv/veikals/sonos-five-black.html which appears to really be SONOS Five. It looks the same as the one from the SONOS product page.  They delivered me this product instead - SONOS PLAY:5 (Gen2) (see the pictures attached): Photo 1Photo 2Photo 3Photo 4When I contacted them about this issue, they insisted that it is the same product. Is it really because a simple google search seems to reveal different information? Also they are saying that after contacting SONOS, they have be assured that it is the same speaker.Am I really mixing up two different products here? In regards, Linda 

I have a new LG UN8100 6LB which features an option for using the TV surround sound and the optical out simultaneously. I have a beam which is currently connected via HDMI ARC.  I don’t care about losing voice control features if I switch to optical - what are the audio benefits/pitfalls of the two options: HDMI Arc to Beam or TV surround + optical to Beam ?

This happens on a weekly basis where one side will drop but on a bi-weekly basis, the right speaker will disconnect and make it impossible to pair with the left. Since November 2020, I have had to do a factory reset almost every few weeks and reconnect in order to pair the two speakers. Super annoyed and prepared to switch systems if this does not get resolved.

This would be the fourth time that I am completely reinstalling my system. I have two Sonos Ones, and a subwoofer. It seems that whenever the app updates, or in this instance where I got a new phone… My entire world transfers over to the New phone, but for whatever reason my Sonos network and system is completely disappeared from the app. This is the fourth time this is happened. I’ve gone through all of the troubleshooting steps, I’ve reset my networks, then all that, this has become incredibly frustrating. Does anybody have any suggestions as to the reason for this occurrence?

I bought 3 Sonos One’s and the Arc in December. At first I had a massive headache setting Arc up with my TV, just didn’t connect to it and then randomly one day it connected. I tried all the TV settings possible, to no avail. It kept saying “connect tv speakers”. I have an LG 65 inch tv, don’t know the exact product model. Everythiing is up to date etc. Okay, got it working but I have to remove all other HDMI devices before I can connect the Arc again. Note that I have to reconnect the Arc every time I shut the TV off. Incredibly annoying. I’ve spent over 10 hours trying to configure it to work better. I’ve been reading forums and tried every solution, even bought the CEC less adapter for my tv box, so it wouldn’t interfere with the Arc. BUT MAGICALLY I AM BACK AT THE “CONNECT TV SPEAKERS” SCENARIO AND I CAN’T EVEN CONNECT THE DEVICE TO THE TV. I’m technically experienced enough to say that it should not be like this. 

When I play music on all of the speakers attached to my stereo system, there is a brief delay (a couple of beats) as between the sound that comes out of my (wireless) Sonos speakers and my (wire-connected) Advent speakers.  Other than replacing the Advents with another pair of Sonos speakers, does anyone have any suggestions on how to cure the problem, i.e. get all speakers synched up for simultaneous sound? So I canceled my subscription and it will be fully dead end of the month so I thought I’d see if there were any fresh ideas out there.  Only Sonos HD Radio has issues. It simply cuts in and out randomly. It’s like the buffer in the speakers isn’t big enough for the payload Sonos HD radio is sending. Anyway, I have 18 speakers around the house. I have one wired in that is always at the top of the group list so he’s always the group coordinator. The wired speaker has far less issues but the WiFi speakers just cut in and out ever 10 to 15 seconds. Some speakers are on the same level as the wired.  I’ve test wireless interference, internet speed and latency. Even logged in with a friends Amazon account that has HD music and that worked. I really like the Sonos stations so I figured why not ask again…. ideas on cut in and out issues or is this just the way it goes when you have a lot of speakers?

Hello,I have a Sonos Amp + 2x BW703 as LR front speakers + BW ASW608 Sub + 2x Play:3s as surround speakers.Can I replace my 2x Play:3s with Gen 2 Connect:Amp with 2 non Sonos speakers as surround.If yes, should I follow the old instructions saying that I should connect both the Amp (it is already connected) and the Connect:Amp, and use the “http://playbarIP:1400/wiredsat.htm” procedure like connecting to a Playbar?Thanks for your responses.

 I’ve got a Sonos beam connected to my tv, with two S2’s and a Sonos sub. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and saw an article saying to check that it is playing in 5.1. I’ve checked and realised my tv was playing in PCM rather than Dolby Digital.I’ve set out my set up below:Samsung TV model UE42F5000Amazon 4K Fire TV Stick Sonos BeamSonos S2 x 2Sonos Sub My Sonos beam is connected to the TV via Dolby digital output, as this TV does not have a HDMI ARC. The fire tv stick is connected in HDMI 1.Everything else is set up and my TV was working fine, but it was using PCM instead of Dolby Digital.I went to change my tv to DD from PCM but it was greyed out, until I then went on the TV stick settings and changed the settings under Audio > Surround Sound and selected Always Dolby Digital. On my TV settings I clicked menu, then sound, checked my speaker settings are on external and then went to Additional settings where I could now select Dolby Digital. Both seem to be on DD so I’

Hi, I have been trying to update my sonos for the last couple hours after re plugging it in over the weekend and not being able to use it. Originally the error code was 1101 so we did what they said; unplugged it all re plugged it back in still same error code, we tried unplugging main router and nothing we even tried on a different phone still nothing. Then today i decided to try again, new error code 1013. its plugged directly into the router and occasionally i click try again in hopes it will suddenly work to get a new error code like error code 30 or 1002. This is ridiculous and after plugging and unplugging and sitting on top of the router with the speaker and my phone and i still can not get it to update i need another solution? Thanks btw its a sonos play:1

We have contacted the distributor in the area (Kpsport) but they do not give us availability of most of the products in our order, nor delivery time. We three zones in our home, two are powered with separate Connect:Amps and the remaining zone is a Play:5 that we don’t use as often and so can’t verify whether this issue happens on the Play:5. We've been having this issue randomly for years now and it’s frustrating.  We can have simultaneous playback going in two of the zones, playing the same song, and one of the zones will just randomly stop playing for 5-10 seconds and then it comes right back.  The Connect:Amps are hardwired and we have a super reliable wireless network anyways, so it’s definitely not a connectivity issue.  We recently got a new ethernet switch and that has made no difference, the issue happened before the new switch and it still happens now.  Also, the fact that playback never skips a beat in the other zone indicates to me it’s not a problem with the Internet connection or even the LAN.If we listen to music for 5 hours straight, the issue may happen 3-4 times over the course of those 5 hours.  Not enough to make

What happened to ability to sort by genre? It is blank. And artists are not listed alphabetically. 

I have a Play Bar, Play 1s and Subwoofer in one room, a beam in another and a Play 3 and Play 5 in two other rooms.The issue is when I come to use the Play 3 and 5 they have to be reset (off and on) to connect to the wifi, whereas the beam maintains its wifi connection. The bar is literally always on (used with the TV).Any reason why I have to unplug the Play 3 and 5 before I can use them?Once restarted they work fine.

Has anyone noticed a sound quality difference when listening to Spotify started directly from the Spotify app vs from the Sonos app.   The message “Started from Spotify” will appear in the System section of the Sonos App.

I had google assistant working before, but moved homes and had to set everything up on a new wifi. I reset my beam and connected it to the new wifi, but can't seem to be able to connect google assistant again. I've tried disconnecting all devices from google home/assistant. I've deleted the google home app. I still have the google assitant app. When trying to link the device via the sonos 2 app it takes me to the app store to download the google assistant app, which I already have. I click to open the google assistant app and nothing happens. I've submitted diagnostics: 1886200429

Wondering if anyone else has seen this... Trying to listen to "A history of the world in 100 objects" podcast from BBC. Sonos allows me to select the podcast, but although it lists 100 episodes, there are many missing, & others duplicated. If I look at the same podcast in BBC Sounds, Spotify or PocketCast apps they are all correctly shown. Unfortunately I can't use any of those apps to play through Sonos. Any help appreciated. 

I’ve just tried to setup my new Playbar. It seems there’s a discrepancy between the password on my Sonos App Account, and the one on my Sonos Account. Despite several attempts at resetting via the link emailed to me, it does not cross over to the App. This prevents me from completing the setup of the Playbar. How can I start both afresh to try & match passwords and end this incredible frustration?Please help!!!!

I have many many playlists and albums. Scrolling the long lists of alphabetical details is frustrating and time consuming. It would be very helpful if clicking on the letter of a section would collapse the lists to a list of alphabetical letters. This would speed up locating the correct section. Clicking on the desired letter would display the entries that started with that letter, This sure would make the application easier to use.

Hi After tuning into Spotify on the Beam and linked speakers the Beam failed to reconnect to the tv through the ARC cable connection.  The Beam still connects to the Sonos app for music and radio services but no the tv. The message I keep getting is that no ARC conncetion deteced.  I have tried all sugestions for reconnection from the chat forum.  Any final solutions please?   

Afternoon I've got a Panasonic TX-43FX550B Aside from being a rubbish TV, my Beam stopped working when I changed routers I can connect the Beam to my Sonos app but when I try to connect to the TV the app tells me to switch Viera link on. There is no option to do this ok my TV, so I assume my TV does not have it So I can't progress with adding the BeamNote: this has worked before, and I've actually gone back to the router that was fine, so I've no idea why this Viera link issue would occur now Any suggestions gratefully received    

I'm not able to add my surrounds to the beam. All devices are listed in my system but when I try to add anything to the beam I get an error "there was a problem adding your surrounds. Check the network connection and make sure your products are powered on".I've tried factory resetting just the SL surrounds and then all devices, but that has not helped.  Not sure what else to try, please help
