Hoping someone can help - I have my PS5 connected to my Panasonic HX800 TV via HDMI. The Sonos Beam is then connected to the TV over ARC. In the PS5 settings should I be using PCM or Bitstream (Dolby) and can someone help me understand why one is better?Thanks, I have searched around and can’t find a solid answer Sam

Out of the blue my Sonos beam has just stopped working!  I wouldn’t say my 3 Sonos devices have been working fine since I bought them a year ago. If it was not the very difficult and frustrating initial setup and connection or every so often just disappearing from options on Spotify to play my music from. Which I then have to hard reboot everything which is just not what I expect from very expensive devices.  now my Beam has just stopped working with my TV. I have changed nothing but it is telling me that it can’t connect to my Arc. I can’t understand this as there are no new devices, nothing has changed other than maybe my latest Sonos software update.  whatever it is, I now can’t use my beam and this is extremely frustrating and disappointing. If it was not for the cost I’d throw them all in the bin and start again. The dream is great having all your speakers synced and playing music throughout my house. Unfortunately the reality is just pretty terrible and unreliable.  diagnostic re

Hi,Is there a possibility to know what is the audio format received in hdmi input on a Beam?(To be sure that a 5.1 audio signal is received and not a stereo one)ThanksGuillaume

With the latest update, there appears to be no way to remove Sonos Radio from Services & Voice.  The only option is to Reauthorize the service.  I don’t care about this service.  I don’t want this service, and I don’t want to be forced to see it in my list.  Seriously, this may be a deal breaker for me to continue using Sonos.  

Hi, i am writing here as i have used the Sonos Arc for a while now, and overall move the system.but i Cannot see how the speech enhancement feature helps, i Cannot hear if its on or off. Dialouge sounds exactly the same Night mode works great, turning Down all loud sounds, and also adjusting the dialouge a bit. but the feature to enhancement dialouge, feels more or less useless. So what does other Arc owner thinks, or Maybe have a good movie or tv show where its possible to hear the difference? hope someone Can help me

I am currently renovating my basement and want to setup a basic 4.1 surround system using a combination of sonance by Sonos in-wall speakers, two sonance speakers for rear surrounds (possibly a wireless sub), and connect everything to a Sonos Amp. I also want to have the capability to wire two outdoor sononace by Sonos speakers to the amp. Is this possible to do?  I don’t want to run all six speakers at the same time. I just want to have all speakers connected to the amp, and have the amp play a 4.1 system when that is up and running, and then play music at a different time through the outdoor speakers. Hi,I have set up a shared music folder on a PC and would like to connect it to my Sonos system. I have verified I can access the shared folder by accessing the PC (Windows 10) through a connection with my Mac (OS Catalina), using Go>Connect to Server and entering the user/password. Also worth noting I have tried to follow all the online thread advice about setting up the Defender firewall and permissions correctly, at least to the best of my ability. Despite all this, even though I can see the shared folder contents when I access through my Mac, when I try to set it up on Sonos app on my iPhone through System>Music Library>Add Shared Music Folder, it says my PC “is not responding”. Can anyone help me solve this problem? I have the beam (just got it) so far really good. I’m wanting to get a couple rear speakers and was curious which of these two to get. Only difference is the voice control. I may also use these to take out side etc for the near future. Only 50 bucks difference surrently    tha k you 

I want to connect a pair of JBL control 60PS/T subwoofers to my Sonos system. they are not powered. Is it possible to connect the sub out on the Sonos amp to line in on another amp (not Sonos) to power the subs? I’m not too familiar with audio installations. Hope the question makes sense.  

Hi, I've recently purchased a Sonos Beam and two Sonos One SL speakers in order to create a sound sound/home cinema set up.  I've successfully set up the two One SL's as surround sound speakers but its not quite what I was expecting - when watching TV it only plays certain sounds through the One SLs, such as background music etc.  I would like a true surround sound experience and by that I mean I would like to hear more/all audio coming from the satellite speakers opposed to just background noise.  Could someone please confirm what my options are? Any help would be much appreciated! FYI I've already put the music playback to full and increased the TV level in the app.  

My Ipad streams audio to my Sonos Beam. How can I stop that from happening?

I have my music on a WD MyCloudES2Ultra NAS and have used that as my Sonos Music Library for several years. Suddenly, I can no longer access this music. I ultimately deleted the source and attempted to re-connect it but to no avail. I have tried using the IP address, using the mapped address and with the device name\share, all without success. I get the error message “Sonos was unable to add the music folder” plus following info. I am 100% sure I have the correct network addresses and username/password and I use the NAS daily for other purposes, including music to my JRiver Media Center. I am running Windows 10, fully up to date, Sonos S2 fully up to date (12.2.2) and works fine except for the Music Library function. The NAS firmware is also fully up to date. The NAS is connected to my router via ethernet and has a static IP. All work fine except for the Sonos/NAS connection. I can set up Music Library connections to files on my computer without problem. Of course I have re-booted the

HiI have two Fives and a Gen 3 Sub connected together in one room and all are working well.  I have just connected up a new Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB turntable to my RH Five and I can get audio through that speaker but cannot get the sound to come out of the LH Five, nor the Sub.  I have looked online with no success for an easy fix, can someone please help to get this audio to play on the “room” (three speakers) and not just this one?  I have the S2 App running on a fairly new iPhone.  Thank you in advance!Sharon 

I just got a Sonos arc.  I set up as follows: cable from arc to arc port, sound out through hdmi Arc, digital sound out through Auto, eArc enabled.  No sound comes out.  What am I doing wrong?

Will the Move work with my Sonos system if I am on the Sonos 1 app      Since I purchased my speakers in 2017 I cannot use the Sonos 2 app

Hi there,  First time posting - I’m looking to upgrade my Play:1 and ZP90… when I log on I can see that the Play:1 is eligible for a 15% credit, but the ZP90 doesn’t seem eligible… It’s weird as the only info it says in the upgrade section is ‘S1 ONLY’ - exactly the reason I want to upgrade…! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Mike

If I stream music either from my iPhone or through a streaming app on the TV there is no bass from the subwoofer in the music. Is this normal? My Bose Lifestyle 600 sure did.

Hi,Prior to two days ago our Sonos system was working fine, now whenever we ask Alexa to play “Fun Kids radio”, it plays Fun Kids Junior.We can play Fun Kids through the Sonos app but not if we ask Alexa.Before it started doing this we didn't even know there was a Fun Kids Junior.Has anybody any suggestions as to how to correct this?Thanks

I received Move as a Christmas present.When I removed it from the box and put it on the charger stand the light cme on at the top, a steady white light.  I let it charge for over two hours and the battery light never came on.I then tried to have my wifi network identify the Move.  No luck.  I rebooted it.  No luck.My only other product is a Sonos amp.Advice?

I am in the process of upgrading my family room home theater system with a new television/Xbox Series X/Sonos ARC.  We do a significant amount of online gaming and I am concerned about multiple blogs complaining about in-game audio lag with this setup.  This appears to be an issue across multiple setups including non-SONOS sound bars.  Before I spend a ton of cash I am wondering if there is an inherent problem with the console>TV>eARC>soundbar format with gaming specifically.  I envision that there is limited ability to adjust AV sync with online gaming since it is quite important not to have a delay in either in this environment.  For reference my current set up is XBOX One X with audio directly out to Playbar via optical and HDMI to my television with no delay issues but obviously only outputting 5.1.

I currently have the Arc with 2 Sonos ones as my surrounds and with the gen 2 sub in my living room.I was wondering if I could add the Sonance in-wall or in-ceiling speakers or both powered by the amp to have them work with my living room setup? Or if I could group them to the same room?

Playbar stopped recognizing TV (Samsung Q7 QLED) remote volume signals. Was working fine for months. I tried reconfiguring TV remote in sonos app. The playbar sensor does not recognize the signal from the volume button BUT recognizes the signal when I push the power button ( I know it’s picking up the signal because of the ir light). It won’t recognize any other button besides the power button. ALSO I CAN configure a different remote without a problem (which makes me think it might be an issue with the remote and not the playbar ir sensor). I just find it so strange that the playbar can pick up the signal from the power button, but none of the other ~10 (especially considering how long it was working flawlessly)  Side note: I already changed the batteries on the remote. And my TV itself still recognizes all the remote buttons as normal.

We’ve been long time Sonos users, and have 4 Play:1s throughout the house. We originally had a Bridge to tie the SonosNet to the wired network, but since S2 came out, we ditched the bridge. Rather than getting a Boost, we had one (and now two) of the Play:1s connected via ethernet, with the two others connected via SonosNet (not standard wifi). We’ve been experiencing songs getting cut off with playing through Spotify (or sometimes even from the phone), and today we just noticed that even when grouped, not all the speakers would cut out. So I did a little digging. The players that cut out were the ones with SeriesID A101 (HW Version 1.8.3.7-1.0) and the ones that kept playing were A200 (HW Version 1.20.1.6-1.1) The network matrix has all the devices in the green, but the grid boxes are all yellow. We considered getting a Boost, but I’m not sure that will help. Any advice would be appreciated.
