Sonos not connecting all of a sudden

So I was listening to music in both rooms then all of a sudden it stoped connecting to the sonos 1 through wifi and I can’t get it too connect. I done a diagnostic ( 65327139). I’ve reset it disconnected and reconnected with the Ethernet cable etc and nothing works

Discrepancy Between iPhone App Menu Options and PC Menu Options?

So on the App on my PC I can see my 'Sonos Playlists' as an option to select a music source. However, on the app on my iPhone that option isn't available? I can select 'imported playlists' , Artists, Albums etc. but not Sonos Playlists?

Problem upgrading my TV setup

Hi, I’ve been owning a Playbase for a bit more than one year and I’ve just bought 2 SL Ones to augment the sound experience for my TV.The Playbase has been set up with the previous version of the app, but the new SL Ones have been set up with the new S2 app. I want all these speakers to be configured in the same room but for some reason it is impossible for me to see the Playbase in the new S2 app. When I try to set-up new product, it just never shows up. When I open the old app, it just direct me to the new app, so I’ve kinda lost any ability to control my Playbase, even though it still shows up in AirPlay.Any thoughts?Thanks

Adding 2 more Play 1 speakers to Play 1 surround system

I have 2 Play1 speakers, sound bar, and sub set up for surround sound in my Den.  I purchased 2 more Play 1 speakers and added them but it created a Den 2?  I can manually activate both sets for music but it will only play 2 speakers for surround sound.  Is there a way to have them play automatically for both music and TV surround sound?  Appreciate any input!

iPhone Sonos app freezes when Sonos app on iPad is already open

I have the Sonos app on both my iphone 11pro and my iPad Air 3rd generation.  I am running the latest IOS software and have an up to date Sonos app on both devices.  Whenever I try to launch the app on my iphone when the app is already open on my ipad, I get a greyed out screen (I have a screen shot).  This does not change, unless I close the app on my ipad.  Once I do that, it takes about a minute for the app on my iphone to adjust to the normal screen (again I have a screen shot), but this screen is then frozen.  The only way to get the app to work on the phone is to close the app on the ipad and close the app on the iphone, then restart the app on the iphone.

Getting Atmos with my Play:1 and Gen 2 Sub

I have a Playbar, Gen 2 Sub and Play:1 surrounds.  If I want Atmos, I know I need the Arc but will my sub and surrounds work or do I need to scrape the whole rig?

4.1 with surrounds unwired to TV?

Greetings,Does anyone know if it’s possible to set up a 4.1 system *wirelessly* with a Sonos Connect and a Sonos Amp? To clarify: The Connect would be wired (through a separate amp) to my tower speakers, sub, and TV. The Sonos Amp would be wired to my surrounds only (i.e., not wired to TV). Can the Connect and Amp coordinate surround sound for TV wirelessly in this way? Would be grateful for any guidance.Many thanks,a sonos newbie

Playing Music from Laptop or NAS

I'm having difficulty connecting my Sonos to my Music Library. My laptop is on and the network can see all Sonos devices. However, when I put the path in (\\mycomputer\shared\music) it simply says my computer is not responding. The folder 'Music' is shared to Sonos with full permission but it's just not responding

Issue with my Spotify family account on Sonos. Music stops

Hi Sonos community,I have a Spotify Family account. I’ve added our spotify accounts (2) into the Sonos app by using the tutorial here: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/2757?language=en_USMy wife listens to music in the living room via Sonos Port and her spotify account (through Sonos app).  I want to listen to music on my laptop directly using the Spotify app (on my spotify account of course)Impossible. Music stops on one side everytime one of us try to play her/his music.Any idea? Bests, Mathieu

Can't reauthorize Apple Music

Hi, the Sonos controller recently said I needed to reauthorize Apple Music. When I followed the instructions and input my Apple id the Sonos app screen just blanked and stayed like that. I tried removing the Apple Music service completely and re-adding it. At the point of selecting ‘I’m already a member’ (of Apple Music), same outcome with screen just blanking out to white. Help please Sonos - I’m so bored of having problems with your system...

Website thinks I still have a bridge

I am on a pure S2 system, using the S2 app. A bridge is no longer shown as a system component when I am looking at the system in the app.Yet, when I go to the website, a bridge is still shown as registered with my account. I can checkmark it, and it is even eligible for an upgrade. TWO Sonos ONE SL, Arc and Sub do not maintain connection

I have a brand new setup with two Sonos ONE SLs, Arc and Sub. My room is quite large and the surround (Sonos ONE SLs) are 20’ apart and 15’ from the Arc. The Sub is also about 12’ away from the Arc. I spoke with a technician who said they should be closer, but that’s not easy to do. Is there a way to keep the speakers where they are but improve the connection?Also, rather than use the two Sonos ONE SLs as surrounds, does anyone use them as Front Left and Right speakers? Thanks.

Sonos 2 app only seeing one device

HiRecently purchased a beam alongside an existing play 1. New app installed and beam working however from app can only see one of my two devices (both in same room currently). Interesting point is both at one stage do appear and work in app. Almost feels like they flip flop. Both on my network and both using WiFi Any thoughts

New Amp only operates on 5 Ghz frequency? Connections issues with my Subwoofer

I had a Sonos system made up of 9 connect amps in a central rack powering ceiling speakers in different rooms. 3 of those rooms also have subwoofers. Everything worked flawlessly for 5 years and then I stupidly made the decision to upgrade 4 of those Connect Amps to the new Amp…… 3 of those “Amp upgrades” were in rooms which has a subwoofer. Unfortunately now 2 of the subwoofers no longer work as no sound comes out of them. They show up on my system but when I play something there is no sound and the room status in the Settings>System menu switches from showing Living Room (+Sub) to Living Room (+?).  I have been on the phone to Sonos Support for nearly an hour. In a nutshell the subwoofers no longer work as they are too far away from the Amps in the rack. The new Sonos Amp only operates at 5Ghz frequency and hence its range to connect to the subwoofer is much more limited than the old Connect Amp that operated at 2.4Ghz. Can speakers be part of multiple groups?

I am not very familiar with Sonos and I have a technical question about how speakers can be grouped.I’m wondering if it is possible to have different components part of multiple groups, and how that would or wouldn’t work with Airplay 2.Essentially I am designing a system for a room with a TV, and I wanted it to be possible to have the system set up as EITHER a 2.1 or a 5.1 (which includes the 2.1).So say I have the following components:(1) Arc (2) Five (2) One SL (1) SubIs it possible to have:Group 1: (2) Five + (1) Sub Group 2: Group 1 + (1) Arc + (2) One SLIdeally, I would like to have two groups both in Sonos and available to Airplay as “Stereo” and “TV”.

New to Sonos - Google Assistant grouping

Hi just got my first Sonos product, a Beam. I’ve got google assistant speakers (Google Home and minis) set up a group to play music all together. I’ve tried to set up my Sonos Beam into this group to play music etc… all together so Google home Max, Nest minis and Sonos Beam together but cannot seem to include my new Beam. Can I please get some advice, this was one of the key reasons for me purchasing the Beam so that I could add it to my existing Google Home group of Speakers. I’m really quite disappointed now. Thanks

Positioning of the soundbar Arc.

a greeting to all I wanted to buy the arc soundbar and connect it to my 48 inch tv unfortunately I have no space under the TV but I have a shelf just 10 cm above the TV. there are listening problems leaving it on otherwise as an option I could place it behind the TV but weigh it worse for the sound let me know thanks

Music Library Problems

I have a SONOS Playbar, and am running SONOS 2 controller for Mac.  Version 12.2,  Sonos OS  S2,  Build: 61182310  Sonos ID: 114287825.My problem is that I can not establish a connection to my Music Library(iTunes Music) on my iMac without getting an error message.  Therefore I cannot play music. The music library does NOT appear in window, and the error message states:Sonos was unable to add the music folderAccess to the shared folder ‘//Michaels-iMac/Music’ is denied - check the username and/or password.Last week I called the Sonos technical support and attempted to resolve this problem  for over an hour to no resolution.  The Tech elevated this problem to a higher level and he sent me an email to establish an appointment.  My appointment with higher level Tech resolved the problem after several minutes, with this Tech accessing my ‘screen’ and typing in the path to my Music Library which established the connection and I could see all of my playlist and music.  The remedy to my probl

playbar now ArcSl turns on by itself at 2am with no alarm set

I had a play bar that turned on every night at 2am by itself. It is hooked up to an RCN 4K android cable box optical out. I had to return it . Bought a Yamaha yas-408 sound bar , hooked up identically and never had a problem . Didn’t like the sound quality so I bought an ARC sl hooked it up identically and low and behold it turns on at 2am again. Beyond frustrated.Sonos and I checked for alarms which there are none.

Problems connecting Sonos to my music library

Hey, Since my LaCie 5 Big has crashed, i installed a new NAS Synology ds218+ (2 x 4 TB). The back up from my music has been transferred to the NAS. When i’m trying to connect Sonos  to my music library i get this pop up window from Sonos: Sonos can't add the music folder. Make sure the path, username and password are correct. Reason: An issue has occurred when adding the new music in the shared folder \xxxxx\Music\Music LaCie 5Big 10TB - Back Up to the Sonos system. Dropped SL - can I get cosmetic damage repaired?

Is there an option to get a One SL cosmetically repaired. It hit the ground from about 3 feet and the protective cover is bent.

Problem with Sonos Play1 and Ubiquiti UAP/ Switch

Hi,   I am having huge issues connecting with my iOS Sonos Controller to my Sonos Play1 speakers after recently installing a new Ubiquiti Unifi Access Point. I have spent days not trying to get the Sonos Play1 speakers to connect.   I have attempted the following. Changed RSTP to STP for the UAP port Enable Multicast Enhancement (Disabled and Enabled No difference) Combine Name/SSID (Disabled and Enabled No difference) Enable Multicast and Broadcast Filtering (Excluded MAC address for Sonos Play1 devices) Enable IGMP Snooping (Enabled/Disabled No Difference) STP with Priority 4096   Despite trying all of this I have not been able to connect to the Sonos Play1 without physically attaching a cable directly to a Play1 device. I am aware that I can use the SonosNet if I hard wire a device but I want to run the devices in Standard Mode over WiFi.   Why doesn’t this work?   All clients are on the same network/vlan as the Sonos devices and I still can’t connect?   Please help...

S2 issues - can't get past Terms and Conditions on iPad

Can anyone help?The S1 app told me to instal the new S2 version. This works with my android phone no problem but unfortunately not with my iPad.The pad is running the latest OS but the app won’t let me past the Terms and Conditions.
