Quick questions.If I airplay from my iPhone to multiple Sonos Speakers, does it only Airplay to one sonos device and then use the Sonos network to send it to the other sonos devices?Perhaps an additional question. If I have a group of Sonos speakers and the group is called say Family Room, do I have to airplay to each speaker in the Family Room Group? Or does the Family Room show up as one target and I just airplay to that? If the latter, I assume back to my original question, it will just airplay to 1 of the group members and use Sonos network to send it to the others, Right?I guess a third scenario is that I might have say 3 sonos speakers NOT grouped. In that case, if I Airplay to all 3, is it 3 seperate streams? Or just the 1 stream and use Sonos Network again somehow? I guess this is really question 1 just written more clearer. I just purchased two Sonos Moves with the intend of using them as rear speakers in a surround sound system alongside the Arc and Sub. I don’t have sufficient wired/outlet capabilities to support wired speakers in this fashion and thought the Move would be a great solution. Unfortunately this feature does seem to be available. Does anyone know whether this missing feature is a hardware or a software issue? From reading the forums, it seems like other people have been similarly troubled by this. Would like to gauge potential for Sonos to resolve this through a software upgrade or would it take hardware development. To the extent its a software problem, is there any timeline for when the feature may be allowed? For comparison, it looks like Sonos recently permitted two subs as feature in a Home Theater setup. To the extent this is a hardware concern or an upgrade like this may be a long way away (8 - 12mo+), I unfortunately feel like it makes the most sense for me to return these speakers

Had a lot of problems moving from S1 (which worked fine) to S2. I’ve got lots of drop outs and it not finding speakers (finds some, not others) - didn’t happen on S1.I’ve stripped my Hub to minimum (no repeaters now), put all the speakers in the same room, factory reset (hub, speakers) and updated everything (iPhone, iPad, Hub, Speakers). Still get issues with the S2 app connectivity.4x Play1, 1xPlay3Interestingly, the S2 app on the iPad works fine and is very responsive.It’s like my iPhone keeps losing it’s memory of the speakers and tries to reconnect.Please help.

Went from my old iPhone 7 to a Samsung S20+ 5G. Recently found that I cannot connect to Deezer, Amazon or Spotify on the Sonos app, has anyone else experienced this? iPhone still works fine

I’m trying to figure out how to connect two play fives gen 1, without internet. I just want to use these with an aux cable. Can I connect the two to play stereo? Or just play both with a headphone adapter?

I plan on wall mounting my Arc above a (non-functioning) old-time looking wood burning stove. I saw in the wall mount instructions that four inches are recommended on top of the Arc, below the bottom of the TV.   My question is, how much space is recommended BELOW the Arc?  How close to the top of the stove can I mount the unit without adversely affecting the sound quality? I recently changed from a WD MyBook to a Synology NAS.  I can access the Synology Music folder from my computers, phones, etc.  I cannot add the music library from Sonos.  I have the logon and password entered correctly.  I am getting a 900 error.  I have increased the IRPStackSize to 24 as instructed elsewhere in the Sonos Community.  I have added a user (“Sonos”) on my Synolgy DSM.  Still no success.  Any suggestions?

I’ve seen a lot of posts of situations where people experience LOW input volume on the ARC, but we have the exact opposite.  Current setup: Amazon Fire TV Cube (2nd generation) → Samsung Q9 65” (2018) → Sonos ARC (bonded w/ SUB and AMP) -- all HDMI, using HDMI/ARC from the TV to the ARC. Listening to content at normal listening volume requires keeping the Sonos volume slider for the room at 10%-15% max.  Anything beyond that is very loud.  Resulting impacts are larger increases in volume with each increment, and an almost unusable digital assistant (since there’s no way to set the digital assistant volume separately from the overall volume). We’re fortunate in that we don’t experience the audio cutout that others do, but do frequently experience a situation where the audio doesn’t sound through the ARC when the TV and Cube are powered on.  Power cycling the TV or flipping the audio mode back and forth on the TV corrects the issue.Neither the Fire TV Cube nor the TV has a way to adjust

I have successfully setup my Sonos Arc to my TV 65c815k Tv to Hdmi Arc port.Enabled CEC CONTROL and TOS link as prerequisites for connecting the sound bar. The in Apps on TV are Disney plus , Prime Tv, and Netflix tested sound and I only get detection for DD PLUS 5.1 for Dolby atmos movies. I have upgraded TV software and I have tested Sony UBP X 700 with two dvds to tv only and I do get Dolby atmos signal icon on screen. I connected Sonos and cannot get Audio detection to test via sound bar. Will revisit the DVD player settings. The ps4 works but still no Dolby Atmos. TCL have not responded to be frank their support is not very good.  I assume either I need to do something else or the HDMI ARC port cannot route uncompressed audio    

The Sonos app for iPhone etc. has this really great feature where I can play my music (from within the Sonos app) everywhere, ie. on all speakers.Does that functionality exist for the Arc? I recently got one and it works great with my TV and is great for watching movies etc., but if I want to watch some live concerts I don’t really care about true 5.1 surround sound, I’d rather have it play on all my speakers. Is that possible?

Hello there! I recently purchased a 5.1 system that has a Playbar, Sub and 2 Ones as rear surrounds. I like the system overall, especially for watching movies. When it comes to music, I prefer the full mode over ambient, but my rear speakers(the Ones) aren’t as powerful as I would like. I am considering using two Play 5’s as surrounds instead to improve the music listening experience as those two speakers are closest to me in a large open living room space. Has anyone else done something similar and noticed better results?

Is Sonos S1 compatible with Big Sur

Has Sonos removed the ability to control an aftermarket sub and speakers with the amp. I know they took this feature away from the Mac desktop app. Now it looks like they took it out of the mobile app.Looks like you can no longer set the crossover between external sub and passive aftermarket speakers. Nor can you adjust the aftermarket sub level.I adjusted this just yesterday. Then this morning noticed that the subwoofer was very overpowering. I went to the mobile app to turn down the sub level and noticed any subwoofer and speaker adjustments were gone.

Sonos (on my Mac desktop and my iPhone and iPad) have lost the connection to speaker and wants me to reconnect…   So, on my Mac (running 10.x), it wants me to update to 11.0, which I let it do. But it is stuck (for 3 hours now) on Updating controller: Installing - the progress bar shows 100% (see screenshot). I have tried Force Quit the app, and starting again and I have rebooted my system , but I get the exact same problem. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Hi, all.Now i have my Samsung TV connected with HDMI-ARC to Sonos Bean and the Symfonisk lamp of Ikea in the back. The sound its amazing.But, now i want to set up a cinnema. I want my projector in the back. I also want to set Sonos Amp in the back, with to wired speakers and sub. All of then must be in the back.Finally, i want Sonos Bean in the front. I know sonos Bean can send surround to my back speakers without wire. Can i send from sonos Amp to Sonos Bean without wire?Do you know what i mean?What could i do?Thanks                    

HiI have an old Connect:Amp that I can get 30% by upgrading to buying new SonosI can not quite figure out if I should send the old Connect:Amp back to Sonos or if I can just throw it out myselfHope someone can help ..?

I have lots of Sonos Playlists that also contain songs from Spotify.Are those songs explicitly against my Spotify account or, if I remove my Spotify account and replace it with another Premium account, will they still play seamlessly from the Sonos Playlists?

Greetings. I started to use Audible back in the day before it was bought by Amazon. I therefore have old username-based access to Audible, not access based on my Amazon password. Sonos insists on automatically connecting me to Audible via my Amazon account though, bypassing the many audiobooks I have under the old username account. Anyone had this problem and know what the solution is? Many thanks. 

Not sure if this has been brought up before but looking for a specific answer. I am fairly new to the Sonos system. I only have a Sonos One Gen. 2 but I plan on adding at least one more One, Move, and Maybe a Play 5.Before buying I was reading about the legacy products support and made me think what would the estimated life span be for these speakers especially the One G2. I am hoping for at least 8-10years if ever.I know it’s a long time to think about but a little reassurance before spending over $1000 would be nice.Thanks

Hey friends: I have a sound bar configured with a satellite pair of Sonos one speakers as L& R in the living room. I have two Sonos One speakers on the adjacent, open floor plan dining room. IYHO, should I set up the dining room speakers as a L&R pair or leave them independent?

Surround falls out. I have to remove surround and then add the five's back to the system to have the surround back.What can be the problem and the solution.Tnx

I just bought an Arc, and I can’t connect my analog CD player to it without some sort of device, yes? Meanwhile, I’m awaiting the arrival of a new Sonos Subwoofer and two Sonos One SL speakers. Will any of those devices help me connect the CD player to the entire system or will I have to buy an additional Sonos device? What is the cheapest Sonos device I can buy (new or used) that will connect the CD player to my system?  Thank you so much!

So this is a weird annoying bug or issue. I have a sonos connect amp gen 1 and a few other sonos speakers. On the mobile app, it works just as expected, no issues. However, in Windows (10), the s1 desktop controller lists all other speakers except the connect amp. If I group a speaker together with the connect amp, it also vanishes from the desktop controller, ungroup it, and it returns, instantly. It’s like once grouped, the desktop controller cant’ see it anymore.Is this a bug or a feature? Things I’ve tried that haven’t workedResetting the desktop controller Rebooting everythingOn desktop: On android.  When I ungroup.  Speakers:Bedroom & Kitchen: Play 3 gen 1Office: Play 5 gen 2Living Room: Connect Amp gen 1 

I have the Sonos beam, and was using two play 1's for surround. Bought two Ikea symponisk book shelf speakers to add to the system. Got them to connect and finally play audio from the tv, but they would not sync with volume controls. Been at it for hours now. Removed the play ones and was able to get the Ikea ones to be the rears to the beam, but now I can't get the play ones to reconnect. Also can not get or find true play to tune the speakers. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this. Looked at YouTube and non of the things they do show up on the S2 app. 

When I plug my optical audio into the receiver the sound doesn't come through. But when I used my Xbox as a receiver it worked just fine. I can not find a solution.
