Non-Sonos Subwoofer manual port?

I have the following components connected to my home theater:

Sonos Amp
Sonos soundbar
Left and Right rear speakers Non-Sonos

I would like to connect a Non-sono sub woofer through the Sonos Amp sub woofer port. I plugged in the subwoofer but I am not hearing any boom boom when I put stars wars on the home theater?
