Hi. 

I have just moved house and seriously thinking of extending my current two play3s into a house wide setup with two 5s in the lounge, the 3s in the dining room and 1s in the kitchen and bedroom. 

Trying to ascertain if I could gain improvement to music quality by using a dedicated streamer/amp/DAC of some description rather than using my pc?

If you could offer advice that would be appreciated.

If you do get the products in the setup you mentioned you wouldn’t need to get a dedicated streamer or DAC. The Sonos apps on your mobile devices and computer would be able to send audio to your whole Sonos system without any degradation in audio quality.
