I have this set up. Nintendo Switch -> LG C1 -> Sonos Beam gen 2 + 2 Ikea Symfonisk. I have eARC activated, bitstream, passtrough on TV, Sonos app is showing Multichannel PCM 7.1 and sound is cutting in and out. This only happens with the Nintendo Switch, I have no issues with PS5 or any streaming service from the TV. Changed the HDMI cable and issue was solved for some days, but now it's doing it again. Had beam connected with WiFi, changed it to Ethernet cable and issue is still the same. Any help?

I have just received my Sub to complete my surround system. Every time I tried to pair it with Arc I was getting a failed connection message. After quite a few attempts at pairing the sub, and a factory reset later, I discovered that the sub would only pair with the Arc when I switched the Arc from wired to wireless connection. Now my system is working great and all speakers are connected. But when I switch Arc back to it’s wired Ethernet connection, I loose the sub speaker again. As anyone else encountered a similar issue? I also have a pair of surround one SLs which I had no problem pairing with Arc. 

I recently called customer service and determined my amp is defective on may 1. The sound kept going out on my tv. If I reset the arc it would come back on for a bit but go out again. It recently fell out of warranty unfortunately. sonos says they will replace it for a discounted fee which is great. However they won’t initiate the replacement process despite multiple emails and calls since may 1.  Every time I call they say they’ll send me an email to start the process. The email will come in 24/48 hours but it never comes. And I’ve checked spam.  I’m sharing as I found that this is an ongoing problem, ie the arc sound going out intermittently. Just wanted to share it was the amp in my case.   And hopefully Sonos will send me a new replacement!  Has anyone else experienced this?  

Hi, I’d like to ask for some help. I have just bought the full Sonos Cinematic system including an Arc, Sub (Gen 3) and Two One SL’s. There is a problem. De Sub en One SL’s keep disconnecting from the Arc. I think that I’ve tried everything. I tried using the Arc wired so it can make its own wireless network trough which the Arc can connect with the Sub en One’s and only use the WiFi from my TP Link x60 mesh network, connect everything via ethernet. But no luck. What I noticed is when my tv switches to Dolby Atmos (LG OLED55CX6LA) the problem sometimes occurs and won’t go away without rebooting all Sonos products. The TV is set to E-Arc to get Dolby Atmos. I tried using an Apple TV 4k (the latest one) and LG’s built in apps. But using both ways the problem still exists. I tried looking for answers within the Community but couldn’t find a solution that works for my situation. Thanks in advance!

Hi All,Since my last post I have added 2x Five’s. So, I have a Beam & Sub.2x Five’s at rear as surround (although in settings I have no way to control the “Surround audio” - I cant set the distance between myself and the fives.. I could when I had 2x One’s as rear surrounds)as the front stereo pair I have the 2x One’s.The problem is, when I want to watch TV I have to turn off the 2x One’s as they create an echo (These One’s were forced into a different room - TV Room 2.Music is fine with everything on.I would have thought this set up would be the perfect 5.1 ??I am probably doing something stupid as I’m tired :(

My daughter is away at college and would like to use a new Sonos Ray for her tv in her apartment. She has her own separate router set up but no ther Sonos devices. We have our own home Sonos network as well where she would potentially have it. So what’s the best way to go about doing that? Can you have 2 networks for one device and switch or would you have to in essence delete one network on the device and reset up each time?

I have a Beam that is connected to a Sony Bravia X900H TV. It runs on Android & it has the latest update installed. I purchased both the TV and Sonos Beam a little over a year ago. Right out of the box I installed everything & connected the Beam to TV HDMI eARC input. Everything worked great and TV & Beam synced perfectly & sound was great! Then, slightly less than a year after purchase the Beam stopped providing TV sound. The Beam still works & provide perfect sound as part of my Sonos multi-room wifi audio system. So I now the speaker is working. It just does not work with my TV anymore. I’ve tied everything. I unplugged both Beam & TV for 30 sec, disconnected all HDMI cables & reconnected everything. Does not work. I tried playing around w/various settings. Nothing. I bought a new HMDI cable, nothing. I bought an optical audio adapter & connected the Sonos to the TV optical audio input, nothing. At this point I am at a loss. I guess the only thing I h

Hello, I’m looking to upgrade to the LG C2 and getting the Panasonic UB820K 4k player. I’m currently using a Samsung Q60A and my PS5 as a player. I have my Sonos Beam (Gen 1) connected to my TV through the HDMI ARC, and I got two Sonos One connected to the Beam. My question is can I just run the same HDMI to the TV, while plugging the Panasonic to the other HMDI*  on the LG C2 without any problems?*The LG C2 has an HDMI ARC/eARC not sure what the difference is. but also an optical cable. Back of the LG C2  The back of the Panasonic has a Audio Out and Video Out that’s why I’m confused on the setting this up. (I know the Beam Gen 1 cannot do Dolby Atmos, looking to upgrade to the ARC later down but I just want to have the best possible color accuracy with the player at the moment)

Got a new Virgin Hub 5 and it will connect wirelessly to my Beam and One SL. If I put Ethernet cable into either of them they appear and then I go into settings, manage network and follow instructions to set up new network but then it does not find any devices. Chatted with 5 agents about this, and spent hours trying to resolve using all the online guides and still not working. I changed my worries router settings to b/g/n as advised by a live agent, but this has still not worked. 

Hello.Arc connected with LG tv with eARC.Atmos works great, so does Dolby Digital Plus 5.1.But PCM 5.1 produces no surround sound.The app is saying I am listening to Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1.Using netflix as the streaming service.Isnt PCM 5.1 supposed to produce surrond sound ?Anyone has any idea why ?Thanks! Cheers, T

I’ve got new home theatre system set up - consisting of an Arc, 2x One SLs and a Sub (gen 3) - and wondering whether to go wired network (i.e Ethernet cable the Arc only) or fully wireless?My router (Netgear Orbi) is very close all the above devices and has a very strong connection/WiFi throughput - download speeds at approximately 100mbps. All devices are all within a 9 square metre room, with no line-of-sight blockages.I understand that all three devices can only connect to the router via 2.4GHz, but if the Arc was to be Ethernet-connected, it on-communicates to the rear speakers/sub via its own 5GHz network.So I’m weighing up two positives:All three devices are connected wirelessly to the router’s very strong WiFi network, albeit at 2.4Ghz (please correct me if any of this is not correct); Arc is cabled up via Ethernet (to a router that has strong download speeds/thoroughput) and then transmit that to the rest via its own 5GHz network (which would be subject to less interference?)An

My Living room is 20’ x 20’ and I’m planing to setup the home theater system in the room with all Sonos speakers during my remodeling. I will be using it for watching movies, but also for our family parties. Can someone recommend what would be the ideal setup (not worrying about the cost)?I was thinking to start with Arch Sub Two CeilingWill adding two One SL  (one on each side of the Arc) be better or is it too much and not necessary? How about adding two more Ceiling speakers (total of 4 ceiling+ Arc + Sub). Obviously I don’t want to spend more if I don’t have to, but if adding more speakers will make a significant difference, I don’t mind adding more.  I will have two ceiling speakers in bedroom, dining room and patio as well. Thanks in advance.  

Hi, have noticed since moving the Sub Gen3 closer to my seating position, that between audio there is a low pulsing/ticking noise. It’s very consistent and from all devices running into my TV (PS5, Xbox, PC). It does not happen when streaming from the Sonos App.I have tried literally every setting in the Sound section on the TV, to no avail, even switching to regular ARC instead of EARC.My setup is Arc + Sub Gen3 + 2x Sonos Five’s. The ticking sound only comes from the sub.Wondering if anyone else has noticed or experienced this?

Hi there,I recently bought a Beam Gen 2. Setup went fine and came to run Trueplay. Halfway through the “Trueplay where you sit” part it comes up with an error message saying “Lost speaker” and that one of my speakers can’t be heard. The crazy thing is that there’s no sub or surrounds connected, nor have I tried to connect any. So if it’s lost a speaker, I can only imagine it’s referring to one of the drivers in the Beam itself?For sanity, I reset it a few times and tried again. Made sure it was running the latest firmware etc. Hardwired it to my router (not that it should matter). None made a difference.The few things I noticed as rather suspect:The bit where it listens to the background noise just jumps to the next step when you hit Continue. It doesn’t listen for 5-10 seconds like it does with my other Sonos kit When I tried a 5.1 test file, the left channel was weirdly muffled. I suspect this is the real issue. I ran a diagnostic, the number being 1552656763. Help appreciated! :-)

Hey! Recently upgraded my setup to a Sonos Arc, pairing it with a couple of IKEA bookshelf-speakers. Worked like a charm with the feintech, atleast on the chromecast ultra - full atmos experience. On the PC, not so much. I get little to no sound on the rears, dispite the sonos app showing an atmos input. The sound on the arc is alot thinner aswell - playing the same song through spotify connect etc. When trying the test in windows i get full sound on all channels. Anyone got any ideas? 

So I recently got an Apple TV and was looking forward to air playing to my sonos arc. The issue I’m having is that the arc audio keeps cutting out. It will be fine for anything from 5-30 minutes and then either the arc completely loses sound, or audio goes in and out. I then have to go into airplaybsettings on Appletv and switch audio input to tv speaker and tben back to air lay and after a few times of doing this audio comes back.  I have no audio cutout issues using airplay with normal audio from my iPhone.I’ve been reading the issue with the 14.6 firmware. Since I only this week set up my Apple TV I am not sure if my issue is the 14.6 issue or something else.  Also sonos seems to have acknowledged the issue but now said there is no issue at all so I’m not sure what is going on with my set up. 

I was having issues with my Apple tv And arc so I decided to try wiring my arc with Ethernet. Upon doing some googling I found out if I wire the arc it creates its own sonos wireless network to connect the other sonos speakers with instead of relying on my wifi network.  the question I have is in this case do all sonos speakers now use the new sonos wifi created by the arc, or is it that if a sonos is out of reach of the sonos wifi it will still connect to my home wifi ? The reason I ask is that the arc is in my living room, with two ones nearby. No issues there. But I have 3 other ones that are quite far away and I cant imagine them having a stable enough wireless connection to the arc for me to use airplay without issues.  would appreciate some guidance on this. When I go into sonos app and into system info I see all of them now on WM:0

HiI have Arc, a sub and two play 3s as a surround system in the main room.  In the last 24 hours the play 3s and the sub have stopped outputting surround sound.  I deleted the play 3s and reset them up and all worked for about 10 mins then after I used trueplay the surround sound stopped again.  The sub and the play 3s still show in the app and in the system.Would appreciate any help.Josh

After the last update the arc volume has gone down and now I have to set it to 60plus when watching a movie. Looks like another screwup on the engineering side 

Dear All, I recently bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and its connected to my Hisense TV via HDMI ARC. On the Sonos S2 App, its showing the Audio-in as Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and the same on ‘Now Playing’ screen as well. Once done watching I used to switch off only the TV and Sonos will be left ON all the time (as there is no ON/OFF button on the device). And afterwards if I switch on my TV then the Audio-in on S2 app is showing as just Dolby Digital 5.1 instead of Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. The issue is solved once I restart my Sonos device or by unplugging/plugging the hdmi cable. Please suggest or guide me through any other solution if available.

Until very recently, I had no problems with the sound from my Beam.  Then starting a week ago, I couldn’t change the sound volume, or mute the sound.  (The on-screen sound volume bar showed volume increasing or decreasing, but no actual sound volume change occurred.) Today, the on-screen sound volume indicator shows that the sound is muted, and I cannot unmute, or increase volume.  I can get sound from the TV speakers, and the on-screen sound volume indicator works.  I tried (1) cycling the Beam off and on, and (2) switching the TV sound output between TV and Beam.Any suggestions?

Hi all!After reading about 14.6 update issue, it’s now my time to get affected by it.Sub on/off toggle is inverted.Any way of solving this, aside having the toggle OFF when I want the sub on?

System ->   TV: Sony 65XH9505;   HDMI cable: WireWorld Radius (connected to eARC from TV).Since the beginning I experience short sound losses when playing the most modern sound formats (Ex.: Dolby Digital Plus). I have factory reset the soundbar and TV. I have tried connecting and disconnecting power cables, HDMI and more tests with no result.I have noticed that the greater the amount of sound load, the more frequent the sound cuts, which seems to indicate that the data flow is too high and saturates the soundbar. With voices occurs at longer intervals than with music.Other information:If I check in Sonos App what type of audio is being decoded on Now Playing screen I display “Dolby Digital Plus 7.1” but if I go to Settings > About my System, I can see “Audio in: silence”:Any help in solving this problem would be most welcome.Thank you very much 

I bought used Sonos Beam (gen 1). Previous owner said it worked correctly. I mounted the device at home, pressed and hold the special “infinity” button until short sound received, to delete all the settings . Unfortunately it did not help. Sonos app on my IPhone  does not find my Sonos Beam. So I cannot tune it, cannot use air play and voice management. Thank God it connects to TV via HDMI ARC well enough and TV sound plays on Beam correctly.
