5.1 Netflix audio not coming through to Beam.

Whenever a Netflix show on my Panasonic TV has 5.1 audio I don't get any sound coming through my Gen 1 Beam. If I change the audio to a version without it i.e. from English [Original] (5.1) to English [Original], then I get the sound coming through. 

When I have 5.1 audio selected, even though I get no sound the Sonos app says it's playing Dolby Digital 5.1.

Try unplugging the TV and Beam from power for a couple of minutes. You might also try connecting the Beam to the TV’s optical port.

What model is your TV? How is the Beam connected to the TV? HDMI or optical?

It's a Panasonic TX-50EX700B connected through the HDMI Arc. It's worked in the past. Not sure why now there's an issue.

Try unplugging the TV and Beam from power for a couple of minutes. You might also try connecting the Beam to the TV’s optical port.

Thank you, that worked! I have the plug to my TV and Beam attached to a smart plug which makes sure both are turned off during the night. Might be this which is causing issues when they boot back up. 

Edit: to clarify rebooting the TV and Beam is what worked.
