Hello, Similar to a lot of people I’ve been having trouble getting Dolby Atmos to work on an LG TV native app, specifically an OLED55G16LA TV.  It does work on the limited Amazon Prime content so not sure what the issue is but sounds like a software or setting issue rather than hardware. And I do have a premium ultra HD Netflix account. I’ve got an Arc linked to two Era 300s and a sub gen 2.  eARC is selected in the sound menus, and I have tried either ‘auto’ or ‘passthrough’ as suggested in some of the other threads.  Dolby Atmos in the menus I believe should be greyed out as that is for when using the TV internal speakers only. The solution suggested else where of unplugging the HDMI, re-plugging and selecting eARC makes to difference.  There are two options I’ve not seen mentioned inn other models ’TV sound mode share’ or ‘sound bar mode control’ but switching these on or off doesn't make a difference. At best I’ve improved the output fro

Hi Everyone.I have 2 Sonos devices, which are a Sonos Beam (2nd Gen) and 1 ERA 300.I know that I´m not able to make surround effect by now, but I have a few questions:Which is the best configuration for this 2 devices when working together? I was able to control my sonos beam with my Samsung Q80A remote controller, but now, ERA 300 is not responding when I turn up/down the volume, only beam is responding.. any way I can control both devices volume? Which is the best configuration of parameters for each device? I cannot add ERA 300 to Homekit, do you know how can I do that?Thanks a lotReally appreciate your help! 

Hello. I am looking to add to my home cinema set up and keen to get some advice from the Sonos community. I currently have a Sonos Arc and was thinking about adding a sub and x2 Era 300 speakers in addition. I was thinking about locating the x2 Era speakers either side of the Arc approx 1 metre distance on side boards, in a front left and right configuration and the sub on the floor adjacent. Has anyone configured / set up in this way please and if so what is your experience of the sound quality? I had made a post months ago on my sub disconnecting from my system and not being able to get it back but I ended up resolving that via leaving it unplugged overnight and it connected fine the next day. It seems to have been fine since but then last night I noticed I wasn’t getting any bass so I looked at the sub and it was flashing white. So I did the whole remove and readd and it claimed it was readded and working in the app however the sub was flashing green and when I played music or TV there was no bass. Now the REAL kicker here is when I turn the sub off in the app, I get bass out of it but the bass is low?I get no difference in bass response when adjusting the slider when on or off but I get bass when off vs on.I tried unplugging the back speakers & just leaving the Arc connected via ethernet but made no difference. Any ideas?

Hey all!  I am upgrading my Beam Gen 1 to the Arc and got the Sonos One speakers ~1.5 years ago and was curious if Dolby Atmos sound will still play even though I have Sonos One speakers as my surround speakers?? 

Hi, we just moved into a new house that has pre-wire for up to 5 in-ceiling speakers. This is a typical setup of 3 in the front and 2 in the back just behind listening position.I am trying to design a system that uses 2 dedicated in-ceiling speakers for atmos and 2 more for rear surround and use a sound bar for center, i will be adding a sub for this well.The issue i’m having is trying to designate Atmos channels for a sonos setup, as my ceilings are high in the front (around 14-16 feet). Here are a few setups i have considered: Setup-1:Use the Arc (or even the beam) for center and use a amp for all 4 or 5 in-ceiling speakers (given the ohms are right) and add the subThis is probably the easiest to setup but im basically designating all my in-ceiling speakers as surround and having a couple in front and couple behind the seating position might not sound ideal for surround. Is it possible to have a single Era 300 speaker as a Surround Rear and simulate the left and right channels? Would be nice to have the option, especially considering the price and also space limitations ...

Dialogue sync doesnt work,“fights with the TV speaker”alexa “can’t turn off” the TV. It’s the whole point of getting this speaker over any other fine quality speaker.doesnt generate enough volume. (when connected to tv and you;re playing content from a computer.cant use the S2 app for “all” features from the computer, need to do some from a phone… sorry, but that's ridiculous.The Beam is a failure. I want my money back or have it replaced with another product.Dont buy this product.

Buenos dias, ayer ínstale my nueva barra sonos arc, con mis era 100 y sub mini, casi todo lo reproduce en dolby digital plus, que es atmos, pero el problema que tengo, es que al poner una película comprada en mi apple tv 4k y que es compatible con dolby atmos no me la reproduce con esta calidad de sonido, en cambio en el apple tv 4k la música que tiene dolby atmos si que la reproduce con atmos, sabéis a que se debe? gracias!

Recently my playbar stopped working, it was part of our home theater surround sound in our media room.  I have called Sonos support quite a few times without getting to a solution.  The Sonos app would show the room as playing music however no sound was coming out of any of the speakers including the sub.  I removed the surrounds and sub from the room and they will work and play sound now through the Sonos app.  This led me to believe it was related to the Playbar, which is when I tried a factory reset.  All attempts to add it back to my system have been unsuccessful, i have tried both wireless and connected via ethernet cable, on the last call the rep asked me to reboot my phone and try again.  Is my Playbar dead or is there something else I can do to troubleshoot? Is there somewhere I can take it to confirm? 

 I've been using Sonos products for a while, and I must admit, the iPhone app and recent speaker syncing issues are quite disappointing. This is meant to be a high-end product, yet I can't even get the system recognized on the app, even after resetting everything. And the endless "Not connected" desktop app messages are baffling, as my router has been in the same location for the past 3 years. Could someone assist me with this? I would greatly appreciate it. iPhone APP: 

I currently have a playbar and 2 Play:1’s that make up my general media setup. I am buying the EPSON LS11000.  My goal is to go from Xbox Series X to AV Receiver, then from AV receiver to Sonos and projector.  Currently I don’t have the AV receiver. I’d prefer to spend under 2k on any new components (av receiver, port, etc) Can someone tell me the cleanest setup to accomplish the above?  TIA

Can I connect my TV and PC to my Sonos connect wirelessly. I'm using S1 app. Signal is send out via RCA cables to amp.

Hi allI’m having issues connecting my remote to the Sonos Ray. Setup:TV : Medion (https://aldi.medion.com/md31196/be_nl/?refPage=aldi)Ray is connected via Optical cable, but works fineTV setting are set to activate CECRemote : When holding my hand in front of the remote it does not work (on my tv etc) as such it should be an IR remote. What’s happening:When I go through the setup procedure and I click the plus button on my remote the light blinks on the Sonos Ray, as such it is my impression that it does receive or see the remote.However it keeps saying it’s unable to recognize the remote. Any tips I can try?

Hi All,Just get my Sonos Beam Gen 2 in order to complete my Panasonic OLED 55EZ950E sound.Of course HDMI port 2 is ARC labelled and I d’like to use it in order to connect my Beam but no success until now… Sonos app said Viera Link is not enabled. Viera Link is well activated in settings but I can't acces to Viera Link in apps in order to set up sound as home theater (information found on this community).Beam works with optical cable but I don’t buy it for using it with optical cable, I want to use 100% of Beam Gen 2 potential.Hope someone succed to solve the same issue :)

Trying to install Amp on my app App sees the Amp, starts installation and asks for 8 digit code. It then tells you to push the green lit join button. However the join button is not lit  Stuck. Suggestions??

If someone could help me with some tips I would be very appreciative…. my wife will think I’m a savior! I just purchased a home with a projector setup in my living room. There is an Epsom projector which has an audio out line into a Connect which is using WIFI (smaller version), for video the projector is using an Apple Tv. Whenever we use the TV we repeatedly have to repair the Connect into the projector and the Connect Amp in my media closet. Anytime we start watching, pause a show, move between streaming services, or if the Apple TV goes into sleep mode. Both devices are always connected in the app, we just have to repair them constantly! Any tips?

Hi all…I’m having a problem with the sound output on my Arc and 2 x Sonos 1 rears. I’ve done the basics right - e arc connection on TV and ‘Auto’ on the sound settings on the TV, but sometimes, say, through the native Netflix app for instance, a film that states Atmos will state “Dolby Multichannel 2.0 PCM on the Sonos app. It doesn’t always happen, so I know my set-up is ok. Is this Netflix not showing the correct sound output?Thanks in advance.

Hello,  I have a beam gen 2 connected to my samsung tv with HDMI eARC and set up Alexa for voice control.It’s working great for all alexa’s request except the one regarding the TV. turning the tv on and off with alexa sometimes doesn’t work. I noticed that the tv had a blinking power red light. I think it’s related with the beam because when I unplug it the red light is not blinking anymore and the command works.Is there anything I can do to fix that ? I can’t disable HDMI CEC just for the sonos, on the samsung it’s all or nothing for CEC (anynet).I already try to unplug tv for 60 sec, it works for like 30 sec and then the blinking starts again.Hope I find a solution. Regards,Hugo

I have the following setup in backyard: Amp connected to outdoor 3rd party speakersAmp LFE connected to dedicated sub amp LFE input I plan to add another Amp and 2 more speakers to create surround sound for movies. If I wanted to add another sub with its own dedicated amp, can I do the following?1. Y-split the LFE output of the primary Amp that's powering my current speakers and connect the split connection to 2nd sub amp?2. Can I use the LFE output of the 2nd Amp (powering surround speakers) and connect it to the LFE input of the 2nd sub amp? TIA!

I would like to ask also to whom have the 2 ERA 300 as surround speaker...the fact that the central facing driver is disabled, when listenting to NON Atmos music is the sound worst than having for exemple 2 surround ERA 100 or Ones?I am still unsure if to add 2 ERA 300 or 100 to my Beam gen 2+ Mini sub sistem...I watch movies and listen to streamed music (non Atmos).Thanks 

I never thought sound setting could be so complicated, the settings you need to change to make things work and no device gets it quite right. I am using a LG C1 with an Apple TV 4K and a PS5. My Sonos setup is an Arc with sub and a pair of Ones. There are numerous options to try and get the audio format that works for everything but all seem to be a compromise and fairly confusing, at least to me.Firstly the Apple TV, when the LG tv is set to passthrough there is no Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus, it passes the audio as LPCM 7.1, but Atmos works. You can change format in the Apple TV settings which makes it send DD 5.1 but for some reason turns off Atmos when this is done. I am unsure why there is no way to set it to play DD for non Atmos and keep Atmos on, or why you can’t select other formats like DD Plus. I have read that LPCM is better because it is lossless. But for me Dolby sounds better, as though it is not just about channels but how Dolby separates audio sent us
