Hey all, So I took the leap and installed some home cinema equipment 1 x Optoma UHD30 projector  1 x Beam 2 x Play 1 for rear 1 x Tendak splitter https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PPMR8Y2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GehQEb1JADBYH 1 x Apple TV 4K 1 x Manhattan Freesat Box The video and audio are splitting  but I’m not sure what’s the best audio setting - there’s a few options 5.1, 2.0 and Pass on the Tendak     Most seems fine.  However, when switching to the Apple TV and watching something in UHD4K 5.1 on the 5.1 setting  only the background sound seemed to come though the Sonos.   Any ideas on the best combo for settings. Thanks. 

I’ve got my SKY Q box set for DD+ sound output through HDMI and connected to my Samsung QE55Q7FAM TV. The TV doesn’t have eARC so the Sonos Arc is connected to the TV through a regular ARC HDMI connection. The TV is set to bitstream input but frustratingly the HDMI output setting has DD+ greyed out and the best I can get is 5.1 via the available Dolby Digital option. When I play Disney or Amazon content using the TV’s onboard apps the DD+ output option is available and I get terrific 3D DA sound through the Arc speaker sub and surrounds. Any one got an idea how I can get access to the SKY DD+ signal?

Ok,Just asking before I get the Beam. Currently have a PS4, Switch and Sky Q going through a Sky Soundbox (huge disappointment). My setup is as follows;Sky Q goes into Sky Soundbox via HDMISky Soundbox goes into TV via HDMI and Optical. PS4 and Switch go into TV via HDMII have to switch the Soundbox to Optical to hear sound from the PS4 and Switch. Question is with the Beam, would Sky go into Beam via HDMI and then into the TV via Optical would sound still come from the PS4/Switch?Thanks. 

Hi. Looking for an answer to this Q: On the Sonos site in the ARC Mount “Optimal listening” details it states “Arc smartly detects when it is attached to the mount and automatically adjusts the EQ to temper bass resonance from the wall.”What happens when you mount the ARC’s wall bracket to center channel mounting brackets attached to a FPTV on an articulating arm? (Thus the ARC and TV can move in/out, pivot L/R, and “float” above and away from boundary surfaces). I have 2 such installation projects happening in short order.Can this “automatic detection” be overridden by the user in Sonos GUI? If not currently, someone at Sonos, please consider this option. If not switchable/controllable, how will I be able to dial in the sound?TIA for a response.

Hello, I have a Samsung Q90T television and a Sonos Arc soundbar. I can use Dolby Atmos with Netflix and Vudu, but only 5.1 Audio with Disney+, Apple or Amazon Prime. Are those apps (Disney+, Apple or Amazon Prime) not compatible with one of or both of my tv/soundbar? Does Samsung not support Atmos through them? Thanks in advance.

Hello,  I have a Sonos Arc, Sub, Amp and two Sonos Architectural in ceiling speakers.  The in ceiling speakers fade in and out while listening to Apple TV.  I submitted diagnostic 757412537.  I checked TV settings which is Sony X800H, which seem correct to me.Any suggestions appreciated,B

Hi, I have an unusual setup and somehow cannot get it right.Main setup is a Virgin Hub,2xPlay:1’s and Soundbar connected wirelessly.I then have a Play:1 in the garden office. It did connect wirelessly but constantly drops and disappears. It must be the distance.The office does have a Wired socket at opposite end with a switch connected for 2 laptop to connect.  I tried to plug an old wireless hub into the switch also to act as a bridge.  I connected the office Play:1 into the old hub and now my Sonos system is ONLY the office Play:1, everything else has disappeared. I connected back to main virgin hub wifi and still I only see the office Play:1.Any ideas? 

Hi. I’m thinking of getting a Sony Bravia KD43XH8505BU but have noticed a few posts around saying there can be issues with syncing to the Sonos Beam.Does anyone know if there’s an issue syncing the Beam with a Sony Bravia?Many thanks,Allen.

Searched for an answer but got nothing. I noticed that the Logitech Harmony app is not recognizing the Arc when I search my network for devices. It discovers all of my speakers except this one.   I realize the Arc is new and support is likely coming. I just thought I would raise the topic, as I have no idea how Harmony adds codes to their database. Cheers

I recently purchased a Sonos Arc (to replace my Sonos Soundbar) combined with 2 x Play Ones and Sub. Sound is great but lip sync is not perfect.However, I have noticed that my Sony TV (KDx9000e, 2017 model) does a full reboot when I turn it on. Seems like the Sonos Arc is sending a signal via the HDMI ARC port requiring the TV to perform a full shutdown rather than go into sleep mode. Painful as then takes about a minute to boot up the TV!Before I do a full reset on both TV and Arc, anyone have a good solution as I see this is not an uncommon issue but unclear what the remediation is.Thanks

Hi, I have a few questions regarding the Sonos arc and connectivity. If anyone could help that would be great.. Can you use the Sonos arc (at all, Luke will there be any sound) if your TV only has and ARC HDMI connection and not an eARC?. Can I use an optical cable instead of an HDMI connection to link to TV/Projector?. If I decide to connect to my projector which doesn’t have either ARC or eARC connections will I get any sound?. My projector will be over the other side of the room which is around 3.5/4m in length, assuming I have to run a cable round my skirting board would this still connect OK or will the signal of the cable be interrupted? All help appreciated,Cheers,Gary

I am mounting a 75” tv to a full-motion wall mount.  Where the TV sits in the room it will be angled roughly 25 degrees to the left at almost all times so that it faces the center of the seating position.   I’d like to mount an Arc to the bottom of the TV so that could also direct sound at the center of the listening location.  Are there any mounts to do this?  I see there are mounts specifically for the Playbar and the Beam to attach them to a TV wall mount.     Also, are there any other considerations I should have for doing this as compared to just mounting it directly to a wall and have the Arc pointed in a different direction than the tv?   Thanks.

Hello everyone.i have a question about how to connect my Sonos beam to the TV and to my PC, if it’s possible at all.So right now my beam connected only to the TV, and the PC to the TV. And when i want to listen to music from the PC i have to turn the TV too.is it possible somehow connect the PC to the sound bar so I won’t need to turn the TV on?

Hi,I want to connect my Sonos Arc (Center) with my pair of Sonos Play:5 (Front L+R) and a pair of Sonos One (Sourround L+R).My Issue: the Sonos S2 can only connect 2 Sonos One (Sourround L+R) as sourroud speakers (and a Sub) but no additional Front Speakers.What should I do?

My Playbar won’t connect to my Sony TV. I have tried two separate optical audio cables with no luck. The Playbar works fine to play music sources but shows as “No Signal” in the app. The light coming through the optical cable doesn’t seem as bright on my Sony TV as it does on the Samsung TV I have upstairs. Is it possible for the output signal to be too weak to transmit to the Playbar?The TV is older so I’m wondering if over time the optical output degrades? It’s the only thing I can figure is the issue. I have tested the Playbar upstairs on my Samsung TV and it works fine. I’m guessing it’s the TV but wonder if weak signal is possible and if so is there any workaround to get the Playbar connected. It’s a long shot I know but figured I’d ask to see if anyone else has had the same issue?

I currently have the Sonos Arc, Sub gen 3 and two One - Sl connected to my LG C9 and an Apple TV 4K. Sonos Arc connect to my LG C9 via HDMI Ultra High Speed cable to eARC port. Both my LG C9 and Apple TV 4K use LPCM but my Sonos products do not. So, I have continuously have to switch between Atmos and 5.1. Very annoying. Absurd such expensive equitpment such as the Sonos products do not have software to support LPCM. Second issue is that you cannot switch wifi networks without an ethernet cable. You have to completely reset your system to switch wifi networks if you cannot connect to your router without an ethernet cable. Third issue is that my Sonos products do not have 5ghz wifi capability. It’s 2020 Sonos.

Help needed as configured with very common equipment that will affect many existing and potential future customers.   Two main problems with Sonos Arc:No Voices watching movies on Disney+ or Amazon Prime via AppleTV 4K No Dolby AtmosEquipment:LG OLED C9 (Updated Software  Version: 04.80.03)AppleTV 4KSonos ArcConnection (both Arc and AppleTV to the LGC9):HDMI 1 port: AppleTV via Zeskit 8K Ultra HDMI cable (with eARC and Ethernet) HDMI2 port: (ARC connection port for LGC9) Sonos Arc via same brand and model cable above  LG TV set to:HDMI ARC→ Digital Sound Out (Pass Through) → eARC (On) HDMI Input Audio Format → Bitstream for all HDMI Ports I spent a lot of money on the latest and greatest equipment and very surprised to see the Sonos Arc not working correctly.  One Apple thread said problem with Sonos Arc as only 1 HDMI port on the Arc. Coming here for experts advice    Again, the equipment I have is pretty common and will affect many existing and potential future customers. 

New sonos beam had it all connected fine from last friday then yesterday cannot seem to get the beam to connect to tv to have sound, done all the checks like unplug and do power cycle, everything seems to be right when I do the set up again the beam makes the chime sound but still no sound from tv. There is nothing else plugged in, its connected to my wifi aswell. 

Hello everybody,I would need help setting up my home theater sonos.In the dining room I have the following products:1 sonon beam1 sonos sub2 sonos One2 sonos One SLFrom the sonos app I can create a room called the dining room, in the room I can correctly add the sonos beam, then the sonos sub, but when I try to add the surround, the app only makes me choose 2 out of the four “sonos one” available ( I can choose only two of the four available, but no more than two products) making me identify the one on the left and the one on the right.My question is:Is it possible that there is no way to associate four sonos ones (two in front and two behind) to the surround?I can create a group with all sonos products from the sonos app, but with the group I can only listen to music and I cannot connect the group to the TV like surround sound.Has anyone ever created a surround system by adding four “sonos one” ?If it isn’t possible, I think I'll have to return the last two sonos one sl.Thanks everyon

Hi Everyone. I have a PS4 Slim, a projector and a new Beam. I thought I did my research and purchased an HDMI splitter to have the video split to the projector and the audio to the Beam. However, the Beam does not recognize the HDMI input and I’m unable to complete the “TV Setup” through the Sonos Beam. Any advice here is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've been very happy with the Beam I attached to my tv.  Today I bought a Sonos 1 SL to connect with Beam (as my wife needs it behind her, as she has a hearing deficit). I was able to set up the new unit and connect to the wifi Beam system.  My issue is that the volume works in tandem.  I want to control volume and treble/bass separately. Any suggestions? 

I have spent so much time trying to get a straight answer on how to get a 5.1 setup to work using an Apple TV and a Beam plus the ones and a sub. Hey everyone.  So I understand that the Panasonic UB820 does not decode DTS on the fly to Dolby digital.  It is my understanding however that you can manually select PCM for the output of DTS in the blu ray player, and it should send a signal to the Arc that it can read.   I wanted to confirm this with anyone who has this blu ray player, and I was wondering what the quality of the audio you’re getting on DTS 4K blu rays are. Does it still sound decent?  I bought an open box UB820 and could not get audio from a DTS disc even if I selected PCM as the output for the format. I’m wondering if maybe the player was faulty (I returned it because it was really beat up).  thanks in advance 

I’ve added an ARC recently to my 2 FIVEs setup but the ARC is performing poorly. Suddenyl disconnects and stops playing or the quality deteriorates to something that doesn’t resemble music. Tried resetting, restarting etc. The FIVEs behave without a problem… Here’s a recording → https://www.dropbox.com/s/z88svqp26owt22f/IMG_0241.MOV?dl=0 This is becoming slightly frustrating, when you keep connecting the speaker to AppleTV and it disconnects immediately after a few seconds, so you end up watching a movie on TV speakers cos you just don’t have the energy to fight the d*** thing...while a brand new speaker sits there useless…. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the community guidelines.

Hi everyone, I have a Sonos Playbar which is out of warranty. Working fine except for the incredibly annoying high pitched noise coming from the power supply. The culprit is the transformer on the unit: DXTPQ3230.This is a fairly well known issue down to I’m assuming poor QA/ a batch of bad transformers that made their way into the Sonos supply chain. Does anyone know where I can source a replacement transformer? I’m in the UK so ideally a supplier in Europe. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
