Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Since the most recent Sonos app update, my Amazon music randomly sops playing in the middle of a playlist or queue. Not had this problem before and, wondered if anyone else experience the same thing?

I have been avoiding this: having forced my phone to hold onto the previous version until this morning and Sonos have forced the old app to stop working - so, thanks for that. Now, I connect, select music and click play… and it doesn’t. It pretends for 3 seconds that it will… and then it won’t. Any thoughts?

I am trying to find something that will facilitate the following: Current setup: Sonos Amp, Klipsch rock speaker (uses both left and right channel), Klipsh aw-650 (left and right speakers) Let’s call the above ‘pool speakers’ Another aw-650, let’s call this pair ‘hot tub speakers’ Right now i double stack the pool speakers to the sonos amp in the summer when using the pool In the winter I manually rewire by detaching the pool speakers and plugging in the hot tub speakers which works fine. But in the shoulder seasons I want to be able to quickly switch between the two and due to the placement of the sonos box it is a pain to do frequently and is less than quick. I want a simple way to accomplish a quick and easy switch when I want it. I do not want a volume control device or anything that is going to add notable or problematic impedance. I also do not want to buy another sonos amp which would be an overkill expense for my use case since I never want the pool and hot tub speakers

Hi All, I’ve been perplexed with the following problem for the last 6 months, wondering if anyone can help. I have a 12+ unit system (speakers, amps, connects etc) mainly connected via ethernet lan gradually built over 3-4 years. the music is library is on a nas box. My problem is that “all of sudden” most of the speakers are unable to access the music library even when I delete and then re install the NAS music library.  I get a “no authorisation” or “cannot access music library” message when I try. if i create a group and include one of the first speakers originally added to the sonos system the music library can be accessed.any ideas on how to solve this annoying issue thanks in advance 

Hi, I have just set up a pair of  Sonos 300 speakers and want to connect to Amazon music. In the Sonos app, I can connect with my Amazon account and select my music but it won’t play through the speakers. Anyone help please? 

Hi guysI have the sonos ace headphones.whenever I enter a game, 10-20 seconds after I've started playing it, the sound disappear, I can see the sound is still there via the windows sound settings (the bar which show if theres sounds or not, is moving) as soon as I exit the game, the sound works again. I have the newest update for the headphonseAny advice? Thanks

Downloaded new app. Updated new app. Wi-Fi connected. Showing no content downloaded and nothing will play on any of my dozen speakers. Pandora or Apple Music. Channels and songs show when I try either one but when you hit play symbol nothing happens. Anyone else having trouble with the app.? Is it a software screw up with new update?

I use Qobuz as music streaming platform. Since the Sonos has bern updated I can’t see any of my Qobuz playlists anymore. It’s strange because I can see my Qobuz favorites. Same issue with my wife. The new Sonos app doesn’t seem to be well functioning.

The new version of the app makes it extremely difficult to navigate with various sets of speakers in my house . Absolutely useless. No comparison with the previous version i urgently want back 

The new “improved” app version seemed to wreck all of the features that made a personal music library on Sonos usable. Two major problems:There is no way to search your own personal music library anymore Browsing your personal music library is extremely painful if you have thousands of albums. We used to be able to zoom in by first letter. Now if you want something beginning with a “T”, you have to scroll through hundreds of screens worth from “A”.Has anyone found a workaround for these?I know Sonos has been optimizing for streaming services these days. But completely abandoning support for your own hosted music library was not what I expected.

All,my latest diagnostics: *The new Sonos App removed the classic TuneIn Station and so many radio station cannot be consumed. This is unbelievable. Apart from all the issues with the new app this is the worst.Now after the latest upgrade from desktop application the old Android app cannot be used anymore - again outrageous! I am not interested in using the new App as it does not work properly and removed very important services for me.What can be done the reset all devices to the previous state so that I an continue using the old app. I dont want to upgrade to a mediocre, service restringing application. *Moderator Note: Diagnostic number removed* 

When listening to SiriusXM the service unexpectedly cuts off every 15 minutes or so. Why? Never had this issue before with my Sonos system.

Help!  Had 2 chat conversations with helpdesk as none of my  sonos playlists are there following the app update. They refer me to call technical help but each time i try, it is over 75 mins wait time. Can anyone here help me to resolve? 🙏🏼

Hi, I can't play any app (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music) with Air play 2 in My Apple TV.I can do with My iPhone but no with My Apple TV. Just sound 1 second and stop.Does anybody Knows how to fix it?

I haven’t used my Sonos speaker in quite a whilke however I went to use it today and it is not showing up in my Sonos app when I login. When I try and add a new speaker it never shows up in the app. Not discovered. Kinda stumped now. I have unplugged it and moved it top the table here beside me and plugged it back in and gone through the steps on the app again but no luck. Any ideas ?

My Amazon streaming has stopped as of this afternoon (1:30 EST).  Has anyone else experienced this?  I have rebooted, logged into Amazon with my credentials, etc.  No Luck.  Now, I have 9 speakers that are totally useless.  I purchased Apple HomePod which is my life saver for now.  I want SONOS fixed- the interface is more elegant on SONOS believe it or not.

When I hard reset them to add them it says I have to do a software update but I have to sign in as the system owner. I am the system owner?! This has been a very frustrating experience and based on messaged I have found online no one has an answer. Not sure why such a hefty price tag if the app is so difficult, especially for moving to a new house.

My apps on the iPad and iPhone are not showing my Sonos playlists that I created. I read the “we are soooooo sorry” letter and I didn’t see this issue addressed, anyone have an update? 

Hi, I have one amp currently powering one set of speakers on my porch with a volume control. I'm thinking about adding an additional two pairs of speakers inside. Id like to put them on a seperate volume control and if possible also on the same amp. Firstly would it be possible to have all 6 speakers on one amp and second, what would I set the impedence matching to. From what I understand if it were two pairs on one VC id set it to 2X. However I'll have one pair on one VC and two pairs on the other. Would I set both VC to 4x?

Hi there - I’m sure I’m one of thousands that’s potentially having the same issue. I recently had to update my rooter and am now trying to connect my 3 speakers back up. I’ve lost a good few hours trying to do something that should be relatively simple. I’ve managed to get them onto the new WiFi but they now don’t come up in the Sonos app. Would someone be able to guide me to the next steps! Yesterday I came here complaining that the volume sliders lag or are unresponsive. Sometimes they just reset downward when trying to turn the volume down.  well….i did the iOS 18 beta update and the lagging (or resetting) volume problem is gone.
