Whats V3? They will work with both S1 and S2, or at least they should unless they are faulty. Have you contacted Sonos support.
Hi, yeah I meant the latest version of the desktop and mobile app. I use S1 for now, S2 seemed to intrusive back when it first came out. Can I still download S2 (if that's not the latest)?
Oops. marked my reply as answer when it should be bockersvj, because upgrading worked!
Sorry about that. Tahnsk very much for the prompt reply and good advice. i was nervous with all the fuss about Sonos and their apps.
I’d suggest giving up the Bridge, it is the source of many problems, is slow and obsolete.
Switch to WiFi or wire another Sonos to Ethernet.

OK, gave up the bridge, it had one 3 plugged in. A couple of factory resets, router/network restart, ditch wi-fi, wait some more and all good. It takes a while but it gets there. Thanks Stanley_4, I went for wired.
The original reason was to get an Amazon Prime account playing more than radio stations. I'd prefer the Sonos search to include tracks and albums on Amazon Music and play those, not stations. Let's see.
The S1 app upgrade helped. Now the app is prompting to go to S2, not sure if that will help or hurt with old Play:3s.
@cosmicdolphinhipster
With Play3 I strongly recommend to stay on S1. Though they officially are S2 supprted imo since „new“ S2 was released in May their harware is too weak for that.
The message on s1 app you can get rid of by selecting „I like to stay on s1“ somewhere in s1 app settings.
Thanks Schlumpf, that's good to know. I can't see where that selection is but I have been saying No to the old S1 upgrade for years so it's no trouble. I'll have a better look tonight but otherwise I think I am done until it's finallytime to retire the Pay;3s. Thanks everyone.
I found the Amazon Music problem, the Prime version only plays a track as a radio seed, but now from their 100 million tracks. It requires the full version, Amazon Music Unlimited, a separate subscription, which is as much as Apple Music, already got that in the family, so.. that's sorted.
