Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

A question for you tech heads. A clinical client have asked for a list of urls which needs to accessible over the internet for Sonos speakers and Sonos Port device because they are very tight on security of anything using their network, even dedicated av lans.

My Sonos one worked perfectly until one night my internet cut out, it disappeared from the app and will not reconnect. I’ve factory reset it 5 different times. All my other Sonos devices connected okay and didn’t disappear from the app. I spoke to someone and said it’s something to do with the software update that came out for it, it still won’t connect to my app, has anyone else had this issue? 

i currently have sonos amp and i’m adding couple of subwoofers and i was wondering if it is possible to use a subwoofer amp with sonos amp ! if yes can anyone explain how please . thank you 

Why do my Sonos speakers come on randomly blasting out of the blue? I was on a conference call and needed to hang up to unplug the speakers behind the refrigerator. I know every app can select Sonos speaker and I cannot find anything on my end that caused this to happen and I don’t want it to happen again. We have no pets and no reason for any of this to have happened. Please help. 

I currently have my Beam 2 connected via HDMI eARC to my LG TV. It works perfectly. I can also use my iPhone to connect to it as well (testing purpose only). I would like to connect my Denon 760H receiver to the Beam 2 as well.I’ve set the Denon for Bluetooth+Speaker, the Bluetooth Transmitter to ON, and pressed the JOIN button on the Beam 2. No luck. I even pressed the Bluetooth button on the receiver remote for three seconds to try and get it to connect, but it doesn’t find any available devices. I’ve tried the aforementioned with and without the SONOS app. The app can’t see any devices that want to connect when trying to connect to the Denon receiver. Of course, I’ve powered things on an off as well. No help.My desire is to use the Beam 2 as my speakers for the Denon (in addition to the TV), and not use a pair of external speakers (I already got rid of the 30+ year old speakers).Has anyone had any luck trying to do this? Or am I better off buying another spea

HiUnfortunately I have a TV with no digital optical audio outlet, are there any adapters on the market or any other ways to connect the Ray to a TV with no digital optical audio outlet? 

Well the CEO posted this, I believe before July:July and August:Improving the stability when adding new products Implementing Music Library configuration, browse, search, and playI still have not seen an update that fixes the Music Library omission and today is September 9th. I have found a work around with an Android music app that I can connect to TV/ARC that is hardwired. However, it is not ideal and SONOS loses the connection when my phone goes into sleep mode. Also, in order to connect the other speakers in the house (all WiFI connections), I have to go to the TV speakers, add the speakers I want to listen to and turn off the volume to the ARC connected speakers.It sure would be nice to get an update from SONOS staff as to when or when not to expect an update. So I become a proud owner of Beam Gen2, Sub Gen3, and two Symphonisk bookshelfs Gen1…….And this is my first post here.I spent whole day trying to maake it work. Just to make it clear I am an network engineer….. I’m trying to set up some outdoor speakers for a new patio that we are building. Thinking about putting 4 Klipsch speakers AW- 650 ( which would go under patio ceiling ( size of patio is 40 X25  )  and another 2 outdoor speakers on the ground ( the rock looking ones AWR-650-SM) ) for the other part of the backyard. Can all this be connected to 1 sonos amp or I need 2 separate ones? also how many speakers can each amp support? I already have sonos for inside of the house and have been using the for years. Have a NetApp, trying to leverage it for NAS, I have disabled SMB1 and enabled SMB2/3 and I know that the username and password I am using is correct as I can connect from several machines to the share.These are the settings of the NAS server, I am not sure why sonos does not work, the audit log on the NetApp states authentication issue, but I know the credentials are correct.                     SMB1 Enabled: false                  Max Buffer Size for SMB1 Message: 65535                                      SMB2 Enabled: true                                      SMB3 Enabled: true                                    SMB3.1 Enabled: true 

I love my Sonos when it works, but it’s been a constant headache… The latest is that after listening at home, all of the content on the app is grayed out - playlists, artists, recently played. I can see it all, but can not select anything. Services do not show at all. I tried to add Apple Music back, but just get an error “something went wrong. Please try again.” I’ve reloaded the app, reset the app, logged out an in… Nothing. The only thing I can do is start or stop the music already played or last played.  I will add that I use the app for two systems, one at home (i am owner) and one at work, which I am not the owner. When I switch between the two I find the system on the current network and join it - this seems to be when this issue crops up. 

Why ‘Deutschlandfunk’ does NOT work anymore?Hi Sonos team. Hi Sonos community - I try to stream the radio channel ‘ Deutschlandfunk’. It was always available through the Sonos radio service. But lately I only can connect to Deutschlandfunk Nova or Deutschlandfunk Kultur (Green annd orange label) unfortunately not Deutschlandfunk (the blue label) anymore. Can you/ anybody help me please on this topic? Can you fix it, Sonos? 

HiRecently picked up a Ray and whilst it works on Spotify etc via the app, the sonos app says there is not connection between tv and speakers. Tried the light down wire and it works. Removed plastic caps etc. Only thing I can think of is if the port on the sonos is broken? Pic attached. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance 

Hi all, since the app update I can’t login. App continually says login to update system. Nothing has changed apart from the app. Constantly says something went wrong. Emailed the ceo and support on numerous occasions with no reply. I’ve rolled all the recommendations and it still doesn’t work. Anyone got any other ideas apart from selling ang buying Bose,

Buen día, tengo un pequeño problema con un cliente, para ponerlos en contexto: el senor tiene en una habitación una barra de sonido, un sub, y dos bocinas SO (no me deja agregar en la misma habitación otro par de bocinas que el tiene en ese mismo cuarto), otro par de bocinas SO agregadas en otra "habitación". El problema es que él, al subir el volumen con su control remoto (LG) solo se sube en la "Habitación" donde se encuentra la barra de sonido, el par de bocinas que se encuentran agregadas en la otra "habitación" aunque esten seleccionadas no de sube el volumen, se tiene que subir mediante la app de sonos. Este problema pasa cuando se está viendo alguna app de streaming o tv por cable, al usar Spotify sí se sube el volumen de todo junto usando el control remoto. Espero alguien me pueda ayudar. I have just returned to our home in UK where we have Play5. Have other Sonos products in our main house in Australia. Cannot get Play5 to work, cannot even get “Accept”  button to work, it is “greyed out”. 

I’ve mostly made my peace now with the new app, and I like a lot of it.  That said, my main issue remaining is the lack of responsiveness on the main volume slider when on the main app page (ie. single slider at bottom).  I don’t have huge hands, so it’s not like I’m a giant trying to use it … but even so, it’s the only slider of any app I can think of that I can never get to move immediately, without finding that exact sweet spot.  Feel like an easy fix would be a slightly wider (ie. height) sizing, so it is easy to grab and move.Cheers!

My Beam 2 That’s running my living room audio is blinking a white light today.  I see other topics posted but since I’ve been on hold with Customer Support for over an hour I figured I’d post a topic while I wait. Things I’ve tried:Unplugging and re-plugging Factory Reset Plugging in an ethernet cable Plugging in a different ethernet cable to a different network Un-plugging and replugging all of the above for different durations  Update:  Talked to support and it was labeled a “boot failure”.  I’ll have to return it and receive a new one.  Luckily it was still under warranty.

I am struggling to play vinyl from my turntable to my Arc. The current setup that I have is I connect my turntable to the RCA IN on the Connect, then I set the Arc input to be the Line-In that shows up in the app. For some reason no sound comes out of the Arc. Here are a few things I’ve tried:- I tried playing music from apple music in the app to the Arc, this worked- I tried connecting the LINE OUT of the Connect to speakers and play from the Line-In, this worked I’m not sure what is going wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m trying to connect a Sonos One back to my system, but no luck. The speaker was connected fine in one room, but when I moved it to another room, the system didn't recognize it. I’ve tried a system reset (holding the infinity button while plugging in the speaker) numerous times, but when I get to the stage where it’s connecting to my network, I get a message that says, “Your Sonos has been added, but may not appear in your System. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from system settings.” That doesn’t work. I’ve tried this about 5 times. I’ve moved the speaker to a third room and no luck. I’ve reset my router without luck. I’m stumped.  Note that all my other Sonos speakers (3 Sonos Ones, 1 Play:5, and 1 Beam) are connected without issue.

Seeking any suggestions as spent an hour with customer support trying to connect a pair of Play:1 speakers to Bridge. The issue was that the Play:1 speakers have S2 software and Bridge is S1. We tried unsuccessfully to downgrade the Play:1 speaker software to S1. I wondering if someone has another idea. Is it possible to eliminate the Bridge (which was being used to drive external speakers that we no longer use) and use the two speakers individually? Or must I purchase another device that uses S2 software to drive the two Play:1 speakers?
