Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I mean, how is it possible this is so awful in 2024? I won’t even get into the fact that my old stuff has to remain separate, but the process of downgrading the software of something to S1 is asking to programming a moon landing. Not to mention the constant losing connection, terrible app, etc etc. I work in audio and I literally tell anyone who asks to run away from Sonos. I’m stuck with it because I have two units that cost a lot of money, but I’ve been sitting here for an HOUR trying to downgrade the software on a unit. It won’t let me sign  in, then won’t see it, then i have to reset for the 254th time. Sonos. YOU SUCK

I thought we finally put the Sonos problems behind, but after last update of apple update ios.17.6.1 the Sonos app is lifeless. It doesn’t even open. Thankfully SonoPhone always works. Handy as a back-up just incase.  I’m not even going to and try and fix this, just make sure that I won’t buy extra speakers etc for a while

How can I play an audio file stored on my phone through Move 2?

Setup: Arc, Sub Gen 3, 2x One SL surrounds. All on wifi. Router about 25’ away from Arc. Sub about 2’ away from Arc. Surrounds about 12’ away from Arc. Router is configured with one SSID available in 2.4 or 5 ghz. Router system is Asus: one primary and two wifi-mesh nodes. Throughout my house, about 8 other Sonos speakers (mostly era 100).Issue: Configuration was working fine until the new app release in May or so (don’t remember exactly when I updated). After that, the sub kept disappearing from the app and network and the surrounds would show up as connected, but then not operate (i.e., no sound comes through them). Solution: Ran ethernet wire from router to Arc. Everything’s been working perfectly since.Although I don’t believe this is a “good” solution, it certainly seems to have fixed the problem.I believe Sonos needs to fix this more broadly though - part of the value proposition of Sonos (for me) is how well they work over wireless connections. I’m obviously not the only person

How can I listen to Sonos Radio on my phone outside my home network?!JL

First - Congratulations Sonos on bringing Apple Music lossless streaming to your platform.I noticed that when I have a paired set of Play:5 speakers, I can stream Apple Music in lossless.However, if I pair a Sub to the Play:5’s I then lose the lossless connection.  I am assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that when you pair two Play:5's with a Sonos Sub, the Sonos system is configured as a home theater setup. In this mode, perhaps Sonos prioritizes synchronized audio playback and bass management over lossless audio?Please advise if there is a way to configure a room with a Play:5 pair and a Sub to receive lossless streaming from Apple Music.  Thanks!

 How long before Sonos just renames their apps to "Something went wrong"? Every time I try to play music it involves 10 minutes of troubleshooting.

I’m sorry but I am absolutely bloody furious.When the new S2 app came out I abandoned it within minutes and have been using an older version of the app (via APK Library).Yesterday when on the Windows app it told me I had to upgrade my system. It gave 2 options - upgrade Now or Later. Click on Later and….the screen just reappears. I couldn’t use my system until I had upgraded, so I did. Windows app continued to work OK.But I then discovered that I had to upgrade the Android app, so reluctantly I did.All my favourites are greyed out. As are my Playlists.So I’ve come to a grinding halt. How on earth do I play the stations I’ve been playing for years via the Android app. Any why, for F’s sake, do I have to sign into my Sonos account to check Network, even just bloody date and time.So effing frustrating.

Confused.  You can see my phone is connected to wifi but the app is saying not connected.  I have 2 SL that I keep connecting but when I go to do the One it looses the entire system.  I have reset, rebooted,unplugged, reconnected, etc.  Things could play from spotify but I couldn't get sonos app to connect and so couldn't play from multiple speakers.  We had a great party last night despite the fact I couldn't get these damn speakers to work.  Why is it so hard?  We ended up getting out a JBL that had no problem connecting.  Sad.  You aren't winning new customers with this app.  It should work.  I run a business with this wifi.  No problems.  Why are these speakers such a hassle to connect?  I used to be able.to connect and reconnect wifi on my phone and the app would randomly connect.  What can I do to fix this?

I have updated the Sonos app today and now I can’t get my phone to recognise my system speakers any help would be appreciated 

Hi guys I’ve just received a new router and my phone is connected to the new router but my Sonos won’t connect as it says it has to be on the same network as my phone how do I do this please just keeps coming up device not found ??? 

Just acquired a Beam Gen 1 and trying to add to my S1 system. Speaker at factory defaults with flashing green light.  Used S2 app and followed instructions to downgrade. App finds speaker and on selecting downgrade to S1 the app immediately reports speaker now compatible with S1 and to use the S1 app to add to system.  That rang alarm bells as it didn't appear to downgrade the speaker - app immediately reported compatibility with S1.  Used S1 app to add Beam but after finding the speaker and trying to add the app states speaker on S2 software and can't be added.  Been through chat with Sonos and they couldn't explain it either. Have asked me to call on Monday to have a higher technical team look into it.  Tried multiple factory resets but same results. Also tried using different device but same result.  Anyone come across this and have any solution? 

I invested in a whole house system…SONOS touted it as a great wireless solution and I trusted them.  A fortune in 9 speakers, sound bar, etc.  But now their newer products have bumped my older system to the back of the line.Updates block my Sonos use for 1-3 days with great regularity Playlist titles no longer showing up for Apple Music (show up everywhere else).  I have 17 lists so this is a problem. The system doesn’t seem to work well with so many speakers.  When I disconnect several then there are no problems. Now I must use a single Bose wireless speaker beside my chair when I want to dependably listen to something!  Sonos has been a HUGE waste of money…and causing lots of frustration.

I’m on version 80.06.03 of the iOS app and I am still unable to search or manage my local music library through the app. I’ve removed and re-added the library using the desktop app, uninstalled/reinstalled the app itself and even done an app reset but still no luck. Am I missing something simple here?

I’ve got a five speaker system and ever since the new app update I’ve got two speakers that constantly groups themselves together.It’s always the same two speakers and the routine is: I separate them, as long as one speaker is used they stays separated, but as soon the speakers are in idle for a while they become grouped after a while.

I am unable to add my new era 100 and sub mini to my new Beam on my TV. Sonis support has suggested a work around that does not work. Are the engineers working on this problem? Does anyone know when it will be fixed? 

Hi, I have just moved house so changed wifi. When I go on my Sonos app it says there are no systems found.I go to settings to update network but that option isn’t available. The manage button is greyed out. Not sure what to do now!  thanks

I’ve tried now on several occasions to link iTunes to the Sonos app.i can see it, it’s authorised and I can grab but the tunes don’t play!  can anyone help

When will our playlist be available again. I had it for awhile and I hope they still have it... Can you give us a time frame? Thanks

For 3 years now I have had 3 redundant Sonos speakers in my home and I’m getting nowhere with the live chat so here I am!  please can anyone help?! I have 3 speakers sat in 3 rooms of my house. 3 years ago I updated my WIFI and have subsequently not been able to connect to the speakers.  When I search for the speakers in the app it says the app responds with no speakers are on the same network.  Or Speakers need to be powered on - they are obviously, in fact the phone is sat on top of the speaker 😫 can anyone help?

Of you're like me and despise the Sonos app and the inability to use apps like you tube (well technically any app since the Sonos app only works 1 out 20 times). I've found this app called Air Music, that allows you to cast audio to your Sonos speakers using any music service or app/player/webpage that produces audio for Android, it's basically the closest thing to Apple Airplay that if found. I can just launch you tube or spotify or my local file player and cast the audio without having the headaches of being forced to you use Sonos beyond terrible interface, highly recommend it, it's been total ges changer for me and actually makes Sonos products useable.  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.airmusic.trial

My Sonos era 300 is having severe glitchy audio skips. It’s apart of a surround sound setup with an arc, sub and another era 300. One era 300 works the other doesn’t. I took a video and recorded the audio of the issue, but unfortunately can’t upload that here. Anyone have experience with this?

I’m at my dad’s house and trying to connect a Roam to his network.  All the instructions I’m finding seem to have the old app in mind.  I’m not someone that has struggled with the new app.  There was some learning at first, but it works just fine for me… it’s just different in some ways.  Can anyone help me with using the new app?  I connect the same product seamlessly at home or at the office… both places I used prior to the app update.  Now I’m pulling my hair out.  It should not be this difficult!  Thanks for any assistance!

I’ve owned a Play 1 for 10 years with no issues. I changed my WIFI and now my Play 1 is invisible.  How do I get it working?
