I’ve currently got a beam bar and the cracking/popping is driving me nuts. It only happens on certain programs/apps.  When the surround speakers work they isn’t no cracking/popping but soon as it’s just the beam bar working on its own the crackling starts. It’s fine when steaming Spotify etc. any ideas how to stop it cracking? Current using a Panasonic TV.

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues with y our Sonos Beam. The fact that it’s only certain programs as you say makes me think it’s a connection issues rather than an issue with the Beam itself.

Are you able to connect the Beam to a different TV or device in your house, it would be good to test if this can be replicated with the programs/apps you use on another device. Also, try swapping the HDMI cable to make sure that’s not the cause.

If you try the above and the issue still occurs, or if you aren’t able to try the above, then I’d suggest the following steps:

  1. Check if the issue is easily replicated and note the steps to do so.
  2. Record a video of the issue occurring.
  3. Submit a diagnostics after the issue occurs and record the reference number.

After you do the above, contact our support team as they have the tools available to help you troubleshoot and resolve this issue.
