Since the new Sonos app update ( May’24) I can longer play all “top tracks” from an artist search on tidal. It will only play one song. The same goes for artist radio on tidal it will only play the first song you pick. Previos Sonos app would automatically play each song one after the other. This is something I use all the time.

I opened this same complaint back in May/June and there has still not been a fix or an answer other than a workaround to cast from inside of tidal. Unfortunately that work around does not always work.

How hard is it to fix artist radio to play as a queue instead of just the first song???

Hey @Edrobjr, welcome to the Sonos Community.

Sorry to hear that not all tracks load onto the players when selecting top tracks or an artist radio from Tidal, but thank you for raising this.

We are aware of this issue and are actively investigating, but I do not have an ETA to share at the moment. The only workaround is indeed direct control through the Tidal app.

When you say this does not always work, can you share where you are using the Tidal app (Android/iOS) and under which circumstances it tends to be problematic?

I am on android.   Just sometimes within tidal ubselect the cast button and it will not always list the sonos speakers to choose. Other times it will list the speakers but when you select one it just won't play through Sonos. Even if selected it will stay just play through the phone. Then other times it works fine.

Thanks for describing the behaviour in more detail @Edrobjr!

If the Tidal app wont show the speakers, it would be interesting to see if the Sonos app can see the devices?

Please also look at both apps in the Play Store to check if they are both uptodate.

Next time you encounter the issue, I suggest submitting a diagnostic (please do not share the number you get here) in the Sonos app and reaching out to our support team who can look into the results and advice further specifically to your situation.

Hope this helps!
