Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I inherited a SONOS sound system when I bought my house. All was working until I swapped Internet Provider. I downloaded the latest Sonos app from Apple Store but cannot connect multiple speakers wirelessly. Would my Play 1 model speakers be incompatible with the app? I have been able to connect one speaker via an ethernet cable,

Before I break something, I want to know if this will work as intended.  I have two zones, one Port for each.I have an older but great sounding 5x 200w Outlaw amp I want to use.  2 channels for zone 1, and 2 channels for zone 2.  The 5th channel won’t be used.The Outlaw amp, like pretty much all home theater amps only has one 12v trigger input.Can I combine the two Sonos Ports with a Y cable to power the Outlaw amp?  That means that if I use both zones at the same time, the amp will be getting two 12v inputs at the same time. thanks,~Jay

Hey all … if I add a second sub to my current HT setup (Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3, and (2) One SL’s as my surrounds) will the Sonos app detect the new sub and ask to “add” it to my existing HT setup?  Is it clean-and-easy?  Also, will I need to TruPlay my new system once that 2nd Sub has been added?  Thanks!

I've recently moved house and have a new broadband service.I cannot group the arc, sub and era 300's into 1 Living Room group. When I try to connect a speaker it creates new living rooms?? The sub also drops connection.The app is S2? Got the Arc connected to the tv with an HDMI in the arc2 port on the tv.I've factory reset all speakers (more than once😒) and deleted the app but nothing seems to work to get the speakers all working together. Dave

Hey everyone, I dont even know where to start so I’m just going to list the problem(s) I have, my network and system topology, any troubleshooting steps I’ve taken, and I’m hopeful someone can help. Or tell me it’s not just me. The problem + initial info:Specifically home theater setups (Family room: Arc+Play:1s+Sub (Gen1)) and Basement TV: Beam+Play:1s+SubMini) will show in the iOS app but will not be controllable. Expanding a bit: I cannot play music, change settings, enable night or speech enhancement modes, change volume, group, or otherwise do anything with the ‘room’ in the iOS app. The device is usually missing from the desktop macOS app. The speaker is fully controllable via Spotify, AirPlay2, the Sonos Web App, Home Assistant Sonos integration, and connected voice assistants. Sometimes the Desktop App will see the speaker and will be able to control the speaker but not the iOS app. The speaker is connected to my home network and to the same access point as other speakers in

In late 2023 both of my Roam speakers died and would not charge whether through wired or wireless Sonos chargers. When I contacted Sonos, one of the speakers was eligible for full replacement as it was still in warranty and the other was eligible for a discount to purchase a new Roam. According to the instructions from Sonos, I was given a UPS return label and packaged them up. I was told I would receive a new speaker in the mail for the fully warrantied one, and a code via email to purchase the other (since it was only partially covered.I received no responses of any kind and attempts to contact Sonos have resulted in being passed between “the warranty department” and “the marketing department” for unknown reasons. If Sonos reads this can you help please???

What does this do? I m afraid to do anything because the system gets screwed up every time i try to do something new. 

Hello, dear community. Can I have two PLAY:3 serve as a front (and only) speakers for AMP? So I can stream music by AirPlay to PLAY:3 via AMP or connect turntable to AMP and PLAY:3 will be the only speakers to play the sound?In SONOS app I can see that I only can add sonos speakers as a surround, not front. Thanks.

Hello, if there is a thread that would help feel free to just direct me there..unless you want to read on and  specifically hear about what I am hoping to do ☺️.We recently bought an LG 27LQ600S-W for our kitchen and the sound is UNBEARABLY bad. So...I thought I would get either a SONOS One or Era 100 to send the audio to via BT. I was unsure if the BT connection would remain after turning the TV off. Good news is that it does but asks via a dialog if you want to connect to the Era when you power the TV back on. I would LOVE to have a direct “hardwire” connection to remove this extra step. TO BE 100% TRANSPARENT...I am trying to remove this extra step for my wife who doesn’t CARE about tech like I do and any extra step is ONE TOO MANY.So, I am wondering what the best way to “hardwire” the Era 100 to my TV’s TOSLINK or HDMI Arc output is.Would an HDMI to USB-C cable (https://www.amazon.com/Satechi-Aluminum-Type-C-HDMI-Cable/dp/B06XS788CK/ref=asc_df_B06XS788CK?mcid=a3f7709fc5ba3a5796a8f6

Hi,I have a couple of Gen 1 Play 5’s and a Play 1 that, even though I believe are now unsupported, work perfectly fine.  however I’m quite tempted to get myself an Arc soundbar but I’m unsure if it will all be compatible?  Would my Plays continue to work as is if I get an arc or would things start to act up?

I have an Ultra , a set of 300s and a grouped set of Fives. In order to get Dolby Atmos do I have to turn off my set of Fives to get Atmos or can I leave my grouped set of Fives on?

It is still not working. Search is a disgrace … my local library is NEVER available on the dot. Always have to juggle/restart the app forever on my ipad and iphone to make it appear in universal search results. Before the new app it ALWAYS worked.Does Sonos think it is solved? 

I use the desktop app for Windows a lot and I notice that when I select different speakers to group, I often get an option pop up that says ERAplay. I tried Googling it and searching this forum but could not find out what ERAplay is. Any thoughts? Thanks Steve

Unbelievable.  I have 6 products from Sonos. It is asking me every week to reauthorize account . It is not possible to reauthorize from Android app. This problem is here for more that 8 months , what I can see from another posts. All posts were closed , and it ia not possible to wrote there. But this problem has not been solved !! I have latest SW on my products , and I have also latest android app. Are you going to do something ? 

Hi all - looking for some suggestions on the right Sonos equipment/placement. First time posting to Community. Any help is appreciated.For our basement multi-purpose room, you can see the room is split with half of it being a TV/entertainment room and the other half being a kids playroom.Over December holidays I got the Beam (Gen 2) and sub mini which is creating amazing sound. I didn’t want to get the Arc Ultra for the size, and the fact the kids play there and I didn’t want to risk damaging such an expensive item that was also 2-3x the size of the Beam (Gen 2).However, I have no rear sound currently and was looking for feedback on a few options.Option1: get the Amp to power the existing ceiling Polk audio speakers for left/right channel. question - unfortunately the way the speakers are wired, the ceiling speakers wire is on the other side of the room. there is no way to have the TV output go to the amp. is that an issue? plus - get rear sound that’s Sonos enabled but is left/right c

My Sonos Arc is now having some issues after 1 year of use and I’ve tried every suggested help article as well as some of the solutions provided in this community. The Arc software is up to date and so is the software for my TV as well as my Apple TV device. I have also submitted a diagnostic request: *********** I am experiencing 3 main issues, in order of frequent occurrence:The sound cuts out every hour or so for about 10 seconds. It just suddenly gets completely quiet and then the sound returns to normal after 10 seconds. This happens when I am watching anything on my Apple TV streaming device Every few days or so, there is a loud popping/cracking sound. This usually happens when the screen saver is on or something is paused. Basically when no actually movie or video is playing. The sound is loud, as if a speaker has blown out, and it lasts about 3-5 seconds When just streaming music via Spotify using the Arc (TV is not on at all), the music will just stop completely. Short version: I have an Amp that was working fine yesterday. While moving things around, the power and HDMI input became disconnected. Everything is plugged back in and now the power LED won’t go on, the buttons on the front panel are unresponsive, and it no longer responds to the IR signal from my Apple TV remote. It will play sound, but only after I go into the mobile app and went through “Setup TV.” The power LED, IR remote, and touch controls are enabled in the app control panel.Setup: I have multiple devices connected to an HDMI selector switch (Apple TV, DVD/BD player, and Switch cradle). On the HDMI switch, there is a TOSLink audio out. I have an adapter (from Sonos) connected to that and the other end connects to an HDMI cable that goes into the Amp. Hi allI need expert advice for improving my existing setup.Today, I own: 1 playbar, 1 sub, 2 sonos play:1. I also have a ProJect turntable.I just swapped my TV for a projector. The projector gets the signal from the TV set top box (decoder) (connected in HDMI). Both the projector and the decoder are far away from the wall where the audio has to be.Both the decoder and the video projector have bluetooth connectivity. I am ready to invest some money (not too much) to upgrade my system. I cannot add a music library to my Sonos application on my MacBook Air.The MacBook Air is an Apple M1, 2020, system running Sequoia 15.2. Itb has a system drive:The system drive has top level Applications, Library, System and Users folders. The Users folder has two sub-folders: chrismellor and Shared.I am Chris Mellor, which is my Apple user name, with a mail address of chris.******@*********.comThe chrismellor folder has several sub-folders amongst which is Music. Since the last update in mid-December I have lost access to my local music folder.  It was working for months and then when I tried to update it in Sonos because I added some music to my library it wouldn’t work.  I thought removing the library and re-adding it would help but I haven’t been able to add it using the path that used to work.  I keep getting a message that the music library is no longer available or may not have power, which doesn’t make sense since my library is on my iMac’s hard drive.  The path that used to work went to the iTunes folder (see image below) but when I read the latest instructions about adding a local music library it says to share/add the “Music” folder; however, I have three “Music” folders (see image below).  Which one am I supposed to share/add?  Thank you for any help.  

My system is very slow. Every time i open My app on the Mobile. The message in the speaker group says "Ikke noe innhold" (Norwegian - in English "no content). After 10-15 seconds the content appears and we can start  listening to last used content. If listening and want to stop, same situation slow reactions.

I acquired a great pair of Sonos Play: 3 speakers with the Bridge when my office decided to eliminate them from our network setup. I have them playing in my bedroom on the house network and can access them with both S1/S2 apps and with the Spotify app itself, as well as controlling the volume seamlessly using Google Assistant (volume to xx%). I would like to be able to run my computer gaming sounds through them, and movies from my smart TV as well without having to add additional hardware to my network.Will I need to run it all through the Bridge unit, or can I keep them connected wirelessly? Or is that not going to work at all?

 recently moved into a new home and have been struggling to connect two Play:1 Sonos speakers to a Google Mesh network, which I do not have administrative access to. Initially, I tried using the Sonos S2 app, but I couldn’t connect the speakers, even when directly hardwired to the network. After numerous failed attempts, I downgraded both speakers to the S1 system, which allowed me to connect each speaker individually to the network. However, I’ve encountered a persistent problem: I cannot get both speakers on the same Sonos system. When one speaker is set up, any attempt to “Add” the second speaker fails and forces me to reset it. The only consistent method to add the second speaker is by using the “search for missing device” option after resetting it, but after successfully add the system, Sonos prompts me to log in to configure the speaker. This process always results in the creation of a separate Sonos system for the second speaker. As a result, both speakers are connected to the s
