Hi all,I recently purchased an Arc Ultra and Sub 4. I'd like to get 2 rear surrounds but I don't think the layout of my room is ideal.Please see the pictures of the room below. We don't want to put the speakers on stands behind the couch.I was previously considering 2 Era 300s to mount on the wall but I read you don't want to mount them close to ceiling and I don't think we want to mount them in the middle of the wall height wise.As such, would love your thoughts on: Do you have any suggestions on best set up? If I mounted Era 100s in a location close to the ceiling like where you see the previous mounts in the photo (from old wired system) would that work? If no Sonos setup works well would it be better to purchase non Sonos rear speakers and connect them via amp? We have wiring in the walls already from prior system. Thanks for the help!

My gen 4 sub will not connect to a room

Hi, my play 3 has been working fine for years. Now  it's disappeared from the app. I have factory reset it, it says connected to my sonos system again, but it does not show up in the app. Any ideas.

Took it all to the dump today— three speakers, bridge, amp… used to work fine then after one year of app updates and failure to connect I pulled the plug. A systemAbsolutely so primitive.  Spent way too much money on Sonos, but can’t take it snymore! Bye Bye ! YS Sonos! 

Have a Beam Gen 2 with SYMFONISK for rear surround speakers. Have the opportunity to switch to Play: 3’s for rear surround speakers. Will there be a significant improvement switching to the 3’s for rear surrounds?

I recently bought a new tv that does not have the audio optical cable port on the back. Is there an adapter that allows me to still connect my Sonos Ray to this new tv?  Thanks for any help. 

Yes I am probably not is what is accepted as a 'first world country' but we have access to those type of tech. Your speaker is dissapointing with this error 1000 and I took it with on our camping ttip and have only expensive weight with me now. Thanks for your first world issues. It spoilt my vacation.

I’m experiencing an issue with my Sonos headphones—there’s a thumping or vibrating sound coming from the left earcup. Has anyone else encountered this? Any tips or fixes would be appreciated! The problem sometimes occurs when I put the headphones on without even playing any audio. Additionally, when I have the awareness mode activated, I hear a wind-like noise, even though I’m indoors and there’s no fan; it almost sounds like static. On another note, the zipper on my case disconnected from one of the tracks after only two days of use. I reached out to Sonos to request a replacement and inquired about any changes to the case design, as I remembered MKBHD mentioning issues in his review. I was informed that I would receive the same case with no design changes. If it breaks again, I would need to pay for a new one out-of-pocket, which seems unreasonable. Given the price of the headphones, I would expect a more durable case for my $500 investment. 

Can you join 2 Sub Mini’s to one System I.e your surround system as I’ve bought another sub mini to pair it to the other Beam Play one’s and a Sub mini

Hi - I’ve just got a new router. And I’ve been trying to connect my 2 play 1s to the new WiFi.  I’ve done a factory reset and connected a speaker via Ethernet. I’ve done the set up on the Sonos app and I can then play music via Spotify. When I try and set up the WiFi the app doesn’t find any device, so I can’t select my new WiFi and add password etc? It seems this process is exclusively Bluetooth, if my Bluetooth is off on the phone it forces me to turn it back on? Has anyone found a way to add new WiFi if they hit this hurdle? Ta

I am getting ready to install two ceiling speakers in my kitchen and connecting them to a Sonos amp in the living room. I’m wondering about wiring. The amp uses banana plugs but it looks like the speakers don’t. Will the holes in the ceiling speaker except banana plugs? can I tighten down or is it need to be unterminated  cable that goes into to the ceiling speakers?

We noticed today that our Sonos One speaker was no longer working or connected.  It is just flashing the white light, and no buttons on top are working.  I rebooted it, and it stayed flashing white light.  I attempted to factory reset it, with no luck.  I then contacted support, and they had me walk through all of the same steps, to try and factory reset it again, and it never took.  Ultimately they decided that it must have developed a defect, and I needed to recycle it and get a new one.  Before I do that, are there any other steps people have found to restart these things?  It was working flawlessly for years right up until a few days ago, and there have been no network or any other local changes in a very long time.  Thanks for any suggestions that people may have.

My Move won’t reboot/factory reset and won’t play music, or except a firmware update etc. Sonos tech support were very helpful and patient, but the device can’t be fixed. I’ve replaced it with a Move 2.  Now I want to remove the Move from my account here https://www.sonos.com/en/myaccount/system/households/devicesThe usual way to do this is factory reset the device.  What’s another way of removing it from my account? 

My playlists are multiplying meaning, 150 songs repeats into 32000 songs. It is messing with play and queue.ibuae YouTube music and playlists are fine there.How is this fixed?

So I’ve used this one maybe 20 times and now it does not start to turn. Blue light on 33 blinks fast. Can’t remember if it used to do that or stayed solid?  anyone know if this could be some software issue ?

I’m new to Sonos with an Era100 as a first move but I can’t work out how to play the numerous CD’s stored on my iphone to the Sonos speaker. Would appreciate any knowledgeable help.I don’t have any trouble playing from the stored apple music library via Bluetooth to my (old) car stereo using Siri voice commands and also no problem connecting to my wonderful (also old) Anker Soundcore portable speaker.i’ve searched the community files but so far only found 5 year old posts saying - tough, can’t be done. Perhaps these were pre Bluetooth on Sonos??Any tips?

Good afternoon,I have a Sonos s1/s2 system that’s playing up. I’m getting various messages on the app such as ‘unable to connect’ or ‘There was a problem checking for updates’. The system will work from time to time with a bit of fiddling about. WiFi in the house is ok with no drop out points, and is ok when I have the issues. I can press play on the app, it will show music playing, yet there is none. Then after a few tries, it will work. Then I’m unable to turn the music off. I can sometimes link speakers together, and other times I get the ‘unable to connect’ banner. I have tried deleting and reloading the app, rebooting devices, rebooting my wifi (Sky fibre broadband), updating individual speakers, resetting speakers. As I type, I have music playing from a radio station, but am unable to turn it off. I get the message ‘Couldn’t stop content, try again.’ I have tried to update the system, but get ‘There was a problem checking for updates’ message. The system is an Arc linked to a s1

I have a set of play one speakers, a sub and a sound bar.  The play ones and the sub were disconnected somehow but the soundbar connected to work. I have tried to reconnect the two play speakers and the sub, and they did briefly produce sound but stopped.  The room I selected says no content.  I don't understand how I'm not getting surround sound.

I got a new Samsung smart TV yesterday and have connected the Playbar to the optical port in the TV.  I changed the audio settings so it says “Receiver (Optical)” on the TV instead of the internal TV speaker.  The Playbar works but I can’t control the volume with my Tivo remote or the Samsung remote.  Further, I opened the Sonos app to control the volume from there and all of my Sonos components are missing (I have 2 Sonos Ones and a Sub).  I was able to re-add the Sonos Ones and the Sub, but the app can’t find the Playbar.  I’ve pressed the mute/+Volume till the amber light flashes, but the app still doesn’t see it.  I’ve unplugged the power from the Playbar and replugged, no joy.  Unplugged the optical cable from the Playbar and replugged, no joy.  Interestingly, while the audio is working from the Playbar, it is NOT working from the Ones or the Sub, even though I reconnected them to my wifi network.I’m at a loss about how else to troubleshoot.  Suggestions please?

Again….After not being able to access any music library stored on my Macs I gave an QNAP NAS a try in order to nail the major “library indexing” thing of Sonos a bit better. To make it short: No success. The Sonos S2 app on Desktop or mobile device is still not able to get the private local music library. A very long phone call to Sonos support did not solve the problems at all, in fact I had the impression that the supporting guy did not know very much about Mac OS, Unix, file sharing within Mac OS and else but I might be wrong here.The basics:For many years my music and video library resided on external USB volumes connected to an Intel Mac mini running Mac OS Mojave and iTunes. I did not want to update to higher OS versions because iTunes would get exchanged with Apple Music - and Apple Music is not compatible to one of my favourite old desktop apps called “TuneSpan”.
