Recent update 80.19.21 released 4/15/25 dropping Era 100s and Move 2

My system was working perfectly until recent update 80.19.21 (iOS) released 4/15/25 is dropping connectivity to 2xEra 100s and 1xMove 2. I’ve rebooted WiFi router, rebooted speakers and even factory reset them and still not solved connectivity issues. All other speakers on the system are connecting as expected (e.g. 2xArc, 2xEra 300, 5xSub, 4xFive, 2xBeam, 1xSub mini, 2xOne, 1xPort, 1xConnect Gen2). Anyone else having similar issues after the recent update?

If they remain powered on during the router’s reboot, there is a chance that they will hold on to an errant duplicate IP address. I’d suggest trying, at least, unplugging them first, then rebooting the router. Wait two minutes, then plug the Sonos back in to power. This should guarantee a new IP address, from the router’s refreshed table.

However, if that doesn’t end up changing anything, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Were the errant speakers unplugged while you rebooted the router?

I’m not experiencing any disconnects on any of my 24 speakers, after the update.

No, they’re plugged in. Aren’t they supposed to be plugged in when rebooting the router?

Hi everyone! After following what @Airgetlam instructed (except didn’t call Sonos support), I factory reset my Era 100’s and Move 2 but was still not working and speakers would connect but then drop connection.

Then I re-read what the 4/15/25 update was about and this gave me a clue as to what may be the cause:

  • Improvements to grouping experience for select players

So I deleted my groups, factory reset the Era 100s and Move 2 and when they connected to the system and wasn’t dropping connections anymore. Then I re-added the groups! It worked! I finally got my system working after several weeks of the 4/15/25 update.

Finally working after several weeks of an update…is really unacceptable…
