issues with the Sonos-Spotify sync

Usually I could play on Spotify and my Sonos app would automatically detect it, so my current Spotify song would also appear in the Sonos App and vice versa.Since the last update, it seems Sonos doesn't recognize it anymore and both apps have parallel sessions running. This results in the Sonos speakers not being able to be controlled properly, unless I enter the Sonos app and "re-start" the music accessing through its own app. This seems to be an issue only since the last Sonos update

Sonos Amp V1 or Amp v2?

What is the difference between the Sonos Amp v1 and v2? I have a set of in ceiling speakers but the previous owner of my flat took the Amp so they don’t work and I don’t think I can afford a brand new V2 Amp. Would a Gen 1 Amp do the same job?

Hovering stylus over volume slider opens volume window -- please don't

On a Samsung smartphone with stylus such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra, just hovering the stylus over the volume slider at the bottom of the main app screen causes the full volume control pane to appear. This is very annoying. Please turn this off. If I want to open the full volume control pane I will tap on the volume slider. Hovering is not clicking.Build 80.14.06-release+20241206.affe3de

Will Sonos Add DTS-HD and DTS:X Support for Arc Systems?

Hi Sonos Team,I currently have a Sonos Arc paired with two Era 300s and a Sub (Gen 3), and I’m absolutely loving the immersive Dolby Atmos experience. However, I’ve noticed that the system doesn’t currently support DTS-HD or DTS:X formats, which are still prevalent in Blu-rays and high-quality media content.Are there any plans to include DTS-HD and DTS:X support in future updates, or is this a limitation tied to hardware or licensing considerations? Adding this feature would significantly enhance the system’s versatility for home theater enthusiasts like me.Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Setting up and pairing my Sonos speakers and updating software

I have recently spent a lot of money in India buying the Sonos Beam 2 about 3 months ago as well as the Sub Mini just 3 days ago. I successfully set up the Bheem two and connected it to my Samsung Frame 65. No problem, fantastic sound!! Now to pair the two speakers and to get my subwoofer to work, it has been a complete nightmare. The App just does not work. It keeps taking me around in circles and constantly indicates a failure. Every attempt to pair the two and get my Sub for to work has been a disaster for 3 full days. One minute, it will show the system, both speakers, five minutes later. It will show there is no system. It is completely erratic and refuses to update my system software. My Internet Wi-Fi is excellent. I use it for everything. Being a photographer I own an Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max and I have Fiber optic Broadband. I really need a solution to just link the sub to the beam without using the app. Please help, I am getting desperate and very, very frustrated. I have trie

With a new setup of Arc ultra, 2 era 300 and a sub4, I only got sound from the arc ultra.Reset the era 300s and the sub and the arc ultra with out getting any surround. The setup of the components went fine, but only arc ultra gave sound. I put the sub 4 on ethernet, but no differance. As a last try, I put the arc ultra on ethernet cable too, and it all worked. Not sure why, but the cables made the system work.

Sonos app install stuck in loop on Windows 11

New W11 laptop - download and install latest Windows Sonos app from Downloads | Sonos follow installshield prompts but it gets stuck in check for updates loop, even though updates are installed and I’ve clicked “Done”. App unusable as can’t do anything but check for updates again. haven uninstalled and reinstalled with same result.

Here’s my setup:Playbar 2 symfonisk speakers Apple TV & projectorI’m running a projector in my living room and have it connected to an Apple TV. I’m using the symfonisk to stream airplay 2 to my playbar. I’d love to use the symfonisk speakers as surrounds to the left and that right, but when I do that I lose the ability to connect them to the playbar. Anyone have any ideas of how to make that work? Or something easy to add to the system to make it work?

amp with sonance architectural in wall not recognizing trueplay

Hello Im trying to get my Amp to use trueplay for my in wall sonance architectural speakers. I can hear the shrill noise but then it says No Sonos Architectual speakers detected. I bought these from the sonos website. I'm using 16 gauge wire.  Any advice to troubleshoot?

connecting roam 2 to NAS drive

I have my sonos system that I’ve had for years connected to my Synology NAS drive. I control the system through S1. I recently got roam 2 that I was hoping to easily add to my existing system but have found out that this can’t be done. I’ve had to download the latest Sonos app and control it through that. I also can’t find out how to connect this ‘new’ system to my NAS drive to play my stored music. Is there any way my roam can be connected to my existing system or do I need to use it as a standalone system? If so, how do I connect to my NAS drive? TIA, John

On my Android phone I have audio (mp3) files that I would like to play via my Sonos Amp, just as I would do with a bluetooth speaker. How do I do that?

Beam 2 missing audio xbox series x

I have just the bar in a small room when playing games back ground sounds like weather and any ambient audio is very quiet. When using atmos there is no directional audio it sounds flat in fact the atmos when i unhook the bar sounds better on my LG C1 and it even has some directional audio. Yet when i watch the same game on youtube the sonos beam sounds amazing even has good virtual surround i am so confused how a game sounds terrible from source with no directional audio and on youtube sounds great with pinpoint directional audio. Example: Battlefield 5 when i play it on xbox i can only just hear footsteps and when i do you have no idea what direction they are coming from. Now when i watch someone play it on youtube and any other game you can hear em clear as day and the whole game is surround sound it fills my room with sound this is so backwards ii bet you all don't believe me or know how to help.

Trueplay Support for the new iPad Mini (A17 Pro)

I was wondering if Trueplay compatibility will be added for the recently released iPad Mini (A17 Pro)?It’s not stated on the supported devices page as unsupported, but Trueplay does not work at the moment on the device.

connecting arc ultra to sub 3

I assuming arc ultra is compatible with sub3. I am using latest app from Apple App Store. ultra sound bar is set up and working fine. I try to add a sub 3 via the mobile app but the app search returns message: sub not found, make sure it’s powered in and connected to WiFi. How do I check if it’s connected to WiFi?

Dolby Atmos on Apple music through Sonos Ace

Trying to listen to dolby Atmos tracks on my Ace through some music but it only ever shows as 'lossless'. I am using a wired connection from ace to my phone. Setting for head tracking on in Sonos ace. What am I missing?

How to get DTS to play as 5.1 PCM from Windows - PC to TV to ARC (eARC)

Hi guys!Hope you're doing well and are having great holidays.I'm taking the time to ask the question since I have looked for a solution many times, sadly without finding an answer for this specific case.I have my computer (RTX 3080) connected to my Samsung TV (S95B) via HDMI (passthrough) and then to my ARC (via eARC). Sadly, Samsung doesn't support DTS, even passthrough. However, I still get stereo PCM.I'd like to know which Windows players allow the conversion of DTS to multichannel PCM. I've heard it's quite easy with some Blu-ray players, but with Windows players?I had a Nvidia Shield Pro with Kodi which was able to transcode - is there anything native on Windows that could do that?Many many thanks !!!

Play 5 gen 1 - wont connect to new Symfonisk gen 2

I was under the impression the new IKEA speaker would link to my aging Play 5 gen 1. The Play 5 only runs from the s1 app. This won't recognize the new Synfonisk gen 2 speaker. Any advice would be welcomed

Sonos Sub won’t Maintain WiFi Connection

Sub won’t hold WiFi connection. I’ve tried everything!  Incredibly frustrating!  I have an early gen Sub that gets through initial WiFi setup and connection to Amp - only to drop it within an hour.  Have tried adding local WiFi network in addition to Sonos dedicated network. Have tried Ethernet connection to set-up, then return to WiFi only - only to have Sub drop its connection yet again. This product is crap compared to all of my other Sonos products that have functioned flawlessly.  Yet it is one of the most expensive I’ve purchased.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
