I just moved across country, and now I can’t connect or reset my Sonos Sub. I believe it’s a gen 3. It had the infinity symbol on the join button.

 

what happens is my Sonos app recognizes the sub. It’s starts the add procedure. The app joins the subs network. Then the app asks me to press the join button.

i press it repeatedly, but the app never sees it and eventually times out.

I have tried the reset procedure on the sub. I hold the join button while plugging in the power. The light flashes orange while I am holding it. And never changes. I’ve held the  button for around 2 minutes. 
 

Any suggestions?

Not sure why the Sub needed to be reset, but if you’ve tried temporarily wiring it to your router, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
