Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have an older generation Connect running on the S1 app and my newer Port, Ray, Roam and One SL speakers running on the S2 app. Everything has been working fine until this week. Now, whenever I try to open the S1 app to control the Connect, a screen pops up telling me to switch to the S2 app. I cannot cancel this screen to switch to the S1 app so therefore cannot play through the Connect. I haven't changed any settings, it seems to have happened randomly. The Connect cannot be added to the S2 system. How do I fix this so I can use the S1 app to control the Connect?

Sonos One connects with Sonos Play 1. Through Sonos app Android. Make sure. The speakers are set for separate rooms, and then group them through Sonos app settings . Add voice assistant for sonos. Just something I wanted to share for anyone . 

HiHad the Ray for about three weeks now and very often it ‘glitches’, almost split second cutouts when playing TV sound through it.  Paired with a Fire TV and Sky Stream. Playing just through the Ray, TV speakers turned off.  Anyone else had this? Really annoying.  Thanks

Noticing the amount of bandwidth my sonos beam is using. The unit is off and I have no live stream music is setup.   download 1.3gbps  upload   323. mbps

Hi there, I have just purchased an Era 300 and love it but a little disappointed that i can’t seem to connect it via bluetooth to my firestick. The firestick finds the Era no problem and connects to it but when i try and watch anything there is no sound. I did check the forums first and have tried the different audio output options on the firestick but no joy ☹️Any help greatly appreciated. 

I’ve recently installed my old Play5 (1st gen) in my summer house. The speaker was factory reset and then set up on my completely new home network (via WiFi). After using the speaker for a couple of hours, and again the following day (8-10h of music in total) I was surprised to see that it had used 45 GB bandwith! Checking my router it is clear that the Play5 uses around 195 mb every five minutes (external connection) - even when its not playing!  The network is through a brand new ASUS 4G-router with a SIM-card, providing a fine connection. The subscription only allows me to use 50 GB of bandwith per month. Only a Chromecast and the Play5 (along with my phone) is connected to the wifi. Sonos Support had never heard of this issue (odd?) and recommended that I turned off the speaker when not using it.Turning the speaker of every now and then sort of ruins the complete idea of having a remote controlled system? Several others have experienced this, but there is no answer how to avoid it?

We use the sonos 1 app with our sonos system which is 11 years old.   A couple of days ago it has stopped connecting to the app.  How can I fix this?  Thanks

Last night, my Arc Ultra was playing content in Dolby 5.1. Tonight, it’s playing exact same content in Dolby multi channel 2.0. Haven’t changed anything. Audio is set to pass through. On other TV (Beam 2), playing same content as Arc TV, and content is in Dolby 5.1. What could be causing it?

It takes forever to respond to inputs and tonight I have no control over the volume. Every time I play music there is an issue with the app. It is one of the worst apps I’ve ever experienced. 

Last week 2 of my devices stoped allowing me to control volume and music. Today another two devices stoped working so now my entire system doesn’t work. I have re set my devices. Reset my wifi and still nothing. I have also re downloaded the app and ensured everything is updated.  Does anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it? 

I am planning to replace all my wired speakers (except one outside pair) and my Marantz amp with the Sonos system.  I have an AKAI reel-to-reel which I would like to keep and have functioning.  How can I do this with a Sonos system?  How do I push Sonos through my outdoor wired speakers?  thank you

I also have the problem of long delays or failures in changing speakers or changing music. My question is whether giving the Sonos speakers fixed IP addresses would help. I would appreciate anyone’s thoughts or experiences with this. Thanks!

I’m trying to access radio stations (both on Australia’s ABC) but keep getting blocked by a message on the app that says “Your Sonos Radio account access has expired. Reauthorise your account to access this service” with two options: reauthorise or cancel.Choosing reauthorise only leads to “account not found” with the only option being: done. So it’s a frustrating circle!

Hi does anyone else had sound issues with there Sonos Era 300 Speakers where sometimes they are trying to catch up with what they are trying to produce. Sometimes they sound like they stutter then catch up.

I have a LG G3 tv and use Apple tv to controle the tv. The sonos system is also connected. So every time i start my Apple tv i have to choose which sonos source i would like to use for tv sound output. It normally chooses two sources - the speakers and the Sonos setup with arc, sub and era 300. I ghave to click out the tv speakers on the Apple TV every time. Please help me.

Hi Can any current owners confirm that the ANC works when wired/plugged in as I want to use them for long-haul flights connecting to in flight entertainment via jack. Thanks

Good day.  I’m currently installing a setup of a Sonos Arc Ultra under the main TV, with x2 ceiling speakers going back to a remote Sonos AMP.  Both have Ethernet on the same network. My question;If the Sonos Arc under the TV is connected via ethernet, does it matter where the Sonos Amp powering the ceiling speakers sits as long as it’s on the same network to create a Room/ Surround? Alright… I hope someone can help me with the following question because so far I couldn't find a clear answer.My current setup: Beam + 2 x One SL + SubThe Beam is connected to the TV and ethernet and the rest of the setup is connected to the Beam through the wireless Sonos system.Currently I'm looking for a vinyl player and would like to buy the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable (Sonos Edition).I'm thinking I could buy the Sonos Port and connect the Port to my setup through the Beam using the wireless Sonos system. The vinyl player is also connected to the Port (wired) and this way I can use vinyl with my setup. Is this thought process correct? If this works, will it use the whole setup or only the Beam?   

When are you going to fix it....

I’ve been using SoundCloud and Sonos for 8+ years with no real issues. Last week I was asked to reauthenticate which I have done and now a couple of DJs I follow I can no longer access their weekly sets through the Sonos app. I can always download the podcast and save locally but it is strange that it has only just happened. My system is all Sonos S1. FYI it is Markus Schulz - Global DJ Broadcast.Thanks in advance.

Hi my Sonos Roam is mot working. I read about the problem somewhere and actually wanted to contact the company but it seems I can’t as the company selling the speakers 3 times a price of a competition dont care to have a proper customer service. I am in Poland and there is no live chat no telephone number, and the only support mail is to the ceo and this community. So anyway, my white light is blinking, I tried to reset it by using the standard procedure, it does not work. It stopped working randomly while playing music and I must admit this is not the first time it is doing that, always I just put it away and forget about it and then I suspect that the battery dies until I decide to use it again. Definately not something I would expect from a speaker I actually want to use. So it does not react to anything, I unpaired it, restarted my router and now I think this is actually a hardware problem and please tell me how can I contact the company to help me with the next steps. I have an Arc Ultra connected to Tv Arc port. Works fine. In theory, I figure running an HDMI cable from the audio out of an Oppo bluray player directly to the Ultra should play audio but it does not. If I run it to an HDMI input on a A/V receiver, it does work. Why not on the Ultra?

I’m trying to configure the wifi access on a Sonos Play 1. I’ve following the instructions of resetting the Play 1 and then following the instructions on the app. Unfortunately when I select adding the speaker on the app nothing happens. Is there a way of rolling back the app to a version which was able to configure the wifi username and password on a Sonos Play 1

I have a few movies rips that have an Atmos 5.1 eAC3 track and a 7.1 eAC3 track. I’m using Infuse on an Apple TV 4K. Samsung Frame 2024 and an Arc Ultra based setup.  When I choose the Atmos track everything works as intended. I see the logo in the SONOS app. But when I choose the 7.1 track, it gets « downgraded » to stereo PCM as shown in the app.  I’m wondering if it’s a bug? A configuration thing? An incompatibility? Anyw views? Thanks!
