Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Dear sonosI wanted to touch base and share my experience with the new Sonos system that I recently upgraded to. After reading several positive reviews, I was excited to upgrade my 15-year-old Sony home theatre system to the Sonos system for $5000, which was three times the amount of my old system.However, I have to admit that I am disappointed with the sound quality. While playing music is great and I love it, watching a movie is a different story. The Arc Ultra sub 4 and two 300 era speakers are supposed to provide amazing sound, but in reality, the Arc Ultra is just a mono speaker with no adjustment for left and right channels. This results in an overwhelming center sound, making the overall home theatre experience disappointing.Moreover, I don't have the option to adjust the volume on the left and right channels, which I feel is missing from the package. Need clarity as my Sonos era 300 system has been a pain to use via the Sonos app and if I just AirPlay then there’s no point of buying the era 300 as Dolby atmos doesnt work I could’ve just bought the era 100 which is way cheaper and still decent enough for a bedroom sound system

Can anyone tell me why Sonos support refuses to support their product? I’ve had issues with the Sonos arc sound bar since the day I bought it. Vendor I purchased it through directed me to go through Sonos support, but they refused to support their own product. The arc sound bar refuses to maintain a network connection, I’m at a loss because now it won’t even factory reset so it’s a very large paperweight at this point 

Could someone from Sonos comment on the following:We would like to understand where our playlist data will reside under this new App design Are the playlist / favourites : retained solely on the Sonos devices and edited in situ & synched to all devices in our group? are Individual playlists created / copied to the cloud for editing etc and then synched back to the devices?  (Then removed from the cloud)  are all Playlists / Favourites replicated to the cloud, maintained in the cloud and then synched to all our devices? Some other combination ? Why the question ?   We want to understand what will happen to our playlists & favourites when we are offline (ISP Failure etc.) which happens from time to time. Will we still be able to create / edit / play the playlists without a connection to the cloud?(We know the new app doesn’t work offline at the moment but there have been announcements that

I noticed that whenever I use the controls on the Sonos Ace, whether it be toggling between the different ANC modes or simply just lowering the volume, the sound cues it makes are quite noticeable and very loud which gets very annoying after a while, especially those with sensitive ears. Also I like listening to music as low volumes due to my tinnitus, but the Sonos Ace doesn’t go low enough compared to other headphones like the AirPods Max. It would be really cool if some of these small features can be implemented, I know its not a major change, but it feels like a quality of life update. Thanks for reading!

I have a library of over 26,000 songs but realisticly listen to only 5,000 or so. I decided to load these songs on a NAS drive to remove Airplay from the streaming path. NAS drives are quite pricey ranging from $300-$600 or more DISKLESS. So add another couple of hundred to install a decent sized SSD.I tried connecting an excellent SK Hynix 1Tb USB drive to my router USB port but there is an outstanding problem with Sonos S2 processing music libraries from a USB connected drive. Ethernet drives work fine and don’t have this problem. I calculated I would need approx 250 Gb to store 5000 FLAC files but the investment was over $500. for a good, reliable NAS. After a lot of research I decided to invest in an Amber X drive. I have no interest in using this to manage photos and videos or use any of the other available applications. Just music streaming. It has a very small footprint with both Ethernet and USB ports. The drive size is approx 480gB and I loaded

I think it would be amazing if the app could store different settings for Music audio vs Theater audio, specifically the bass level.One of my favorite features about Sonos is that it can tell between just audio playback versus using my theater system and changes my settings on my play ones to rears automatically.In my case, one thing that I have found is that when the theater setting is on the bass is too loud for movies, but I prefer the bass to be louder during music 

I have a 5 second delay in streaming anything to my play 1’s which are in another room to all my other sonos components.and am wondering if its the way I have them setup on my network.My equipment is that I have a virgin hub but a netgear orbi mesh system plugged into the hub. On my netgear mesh I have the router and two satelites.  My sonos estate is such - in lounge arc/sub/2 play 5’s, in conservatory - beam and in a more distant room two play 1’s which is where I have the issue. The room where I have the play 1’s is where one of the orbi satelites (ap’s) lives.I have a ethernet connection from the orbi router (via a small switch) connected into the arc. My orbi mesh system gui shows all sonos compponents as being ‘wired’ as they all are seen as going through that one wired connection (even though of course they connect wirelessly between themselves). I am thinking that if I can get the play 1’s to connect via their nearby sa

Hi,My folder on my NAS contains 1000 songs. Selecting it to play loads it 64 times. The queue dialog shows that 64000 songs are loaded in the queue. Any help?Thanks.

Hi all,I often get the message that I cannot add a song to the queue. Steps to reproduce 1. Do a search for a song in your library (on my NAS)2. Try adding to the queue ( usually fails)3. Play the song, replacing the queue 4. Do steps 1 and 2.Rebooting the App doesn't help, rebooting my router doesn't hel.Any suggestions?

Hi,I have created a playlist with the Windows App, because the Android S2 App can't save the current queue. I see the playlist in S2 Android App and can start it. However, when I click on the button to see the songs in the playlist it shows up empty. This driving me crazy. Any clues on how to solve it?Cheers, A former Sonos enthousiast. 

I just recently upgraded to the LG C5 and my soundbar works fine but I can’t seem to get my subwoofer working properly. It’s in the same room and nothing has changed. Has anyone else had this issue?

Ok so playlist editing is back… sort of.  Unfortunately you can add songs, albums to a list or create a new list.  But you can no longer play that list😳 Before last weeks update I could see my playlists under Favourites, but now they have gone. Is there any testing done before releases and do those who do the testing actually know how to use the system?

Greetings! I’m experiencing a lack of audio in my home theater system, which includes the Arc, Sub, and two Ones for surround sound. I use a Sony 4K vol-wv295es projector, Apple TV 4K, and either a AV matrix or an HDFury Arcana to split video and audio. This setup used to work extraordinarily well. Now, however, I get no audio on the Sonos Arc no matter what I do. All equipment firmware is up-to-date, all HDMI cables are compatible. The Arc works fine when it comes to streaming music, and the Apple TV 4K can stream audio to an Apple AirPods Max Pro.Any suggestions to get the audio working?

This is my third question. I divided them up since they are for different issues.When I pick Dolby Atmos on the PS5 (Pro) sound settings, then volume levels in games don’t seem right. In god of war ragnarok Mimirs voice is too quiet, and Atreus voice is too loud. Boss battle effects are also super loud. In tekken 8 the commentators voice is too quiet. However If I change to LPCM, then the volume levels are much more even, and what I would expect. It’s one thing for some effects to be so loud, but it doesn’t make sense for character voices to have different db levels.I am wondering if this has anything to do with the Arc Ultra, or if other Dolby Atmos soundbars will have the exact same issue to the same extent? Does the Arc Ultra highlight the issue more than say a Samsung soundbar? With the TV speakers it’s not that noticeable. It’s an LG C4 so it supports Dolby Atmos, but obviously it also has much less capable speakers.

I have created personal playlist on Spotify but they don’t show up on Sonos S1 controller (desktop app) or on Sonos S1 (mobile phone app).How do i get access to the playlist from the desktop app or the mobile phone app?

HiMy system keep losing connection to YouSee Musik. This has happened over the last few weeks. Although I keep removing and adding it again it loses connection the next day or so. I have a free Spotify account which never loses connection.  It is really annoying. Please help me with how this should be fixed

After a power surge, Sonos will not connect to my music folder.  I had it working by adding it as a NAS drive after previous application updates.  But now that process doesn’t work.  The folder is on my MacBookPro and isn’t damaged.  I can access and play music from other apps.  I’m using Sequoia 15.3.2.  Anyone else having this issue?  Any suggestions?  Can’t imagine going directly to Sonos will be os any assistance.

Today, my Sonos iOS app stopped working. I can no longer manage what speakers to use for playback as it is requesting an update and I can not skip this in the app.Frankly, with Sonos history, I fail to see why I should update if things are working for my. My devices are offline (Wifi connected but no access to internet), so no reason at all, not even for security reasons to consider updating a working system. Also I disabled the automatic app update on my iOS device also due to Sonos history of bad company politics, really bad release notes and incapability in the software development space. I just want to use the speakers I paid for.Things have been working ok (just using Airplay) for me. But I needed to give one device an internet connection shortly as it had lost its registration and now I am back in this Sonos update mess.Has anyone found a way how to work around this enforced update? I really do not want to pull up a separate Android device just to roll bac

Several threads discuss the lack of integration with Mixcloud.  while it was working perfectly in S1and S2, the new app integration is completely crippled. the Sonos engineers do not seem to care  at all. please fix this

I'm almost at the end of my patience here. I have a large ish setup (3 x play 1, 4 x play 3, 2 IKEA lamps, beam gen 1, sub mini, playbase, roam, move gen 1, boost) I'm using a technicolour router (supplied by Internet provider) and have a deco mesh network with half a dozen S4 style units. I have 80mb/s WiFi which, for everything else, is more than enough. Been having constant issues with various devices disappearing, becoming unresponsive, not playing, I even had to switch one of the play 1s off at the plug socket the other day as even the physical button couldn't pause my music.I reached out to sonos support, spoke to an agent and submitted diagnostics, we then tried switching my sonos net channel to 1 from the previous setting of 6 and this seemed to work. Until today. I'm back to where I was last week. Same issues, several speakers not showing up, even one half of a stereo pair just not working.Everything connected to the system is up to date (
