I have the ray connected to my kitchen tv. I am currently doing a remodel in the kitchen and I planned on putting in ceiling speakers in the cooking and prep area. It is possible to connect ray with the amp? That way I can hear more clearly a TV show while doing a cooking/cleaning task

If you mean will the Amp Group with the Ray, then yes, sort of. It will Group and play music perfectly, but like all Sonos in Groups to a TV source there will be a 75 ms delay in the sound from the Grouped Sonos in relation to the TV connected Sonos.
If you are thinking of Bonding into a Home Theater Room, that won't get you the front and center channel content to the Amp connected speakers, just the surround audio channels.
