I used to be able to set the alarm to access the line in. I have a tuner component hooked up to my system, and it is normally more stable than streaming. Now, the alarm can only access Sonos chime or stream music.

I have been a long time Sonos user I have 17 products. The new app is horrible and I am losing total functionality. I have so much invested, but I hate to go away. why does the new app sucks so bad? I mean it is unbelievable how different it was from the previous experience. It’s like they are trying to drive away customers

Recently, Sonos plays but intermittently, missing many tracks.  I use the app on a Windows 11 PC. I’ve checked that my subscription to the streaming serve (Deezer) is up to date.  I have 2 Sonos Play 1s.Is there anything I should do before uninstalling and reinstalling the software, a tedious and not always successful process.

Good day to all !I posted another topic when, once upon a time, my 2 Sonos Connect were not able anymore to access the local music library, hosted on a NAS. Many people told me about the SMB1 protocol when I specified from the beginning that I a using SMB2 only since more than 5 or 8 years now.Of course, both of them used to work very well before that. The known issue was coming from a Sonos update when they released their headset and I have seen that many, many people were very upset by that.One day, several weeks later, a new Sonos update made be re-abled to access to this library, but I had to delete, then recreate it.So, today, I have a room that works very well, the Sonos Connect plays all the music tracks I want… but not the other one.Both are on the same Wi-Fi router / network, but the one in the second room refuses to work and I get an ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED message when I try to play something locally from either Phonos or Sonos Controller or

Related to this issue, but none of the proposed solution helped me with my symfonisk speakers. It helped shortly with a Sonos One SL, but in the end I had to remove it fully from my router and do a full factory reset to get it to work..  But I still have the issue with my Symfonisk Speakers, I have two lamps that are connected as stereo, where the volume slider is missing when they are a part of a group. I can also not send music directly to them to play standalone but I’m able to put music on another speaker and then add the symfonisk the that group to get them to play.. Edit: It seems that my Symfonisk Højtalere, is in a room called that, but when I go in to change their room name it’s just empty, if I set a value it doesn’t change. 

I have been struggling for some time to use this disastrous update to the Sonos App (Date typed 20 July 2024). It was installed on my phone and tablet automatically without any warnings nor ability to reload the old, working, app.The app ceased to work properly on my Android tablet and phone:No playlists No ability to create a queue Occasionally crashes Loses my system every couple odf days Regularly loses my library of NAS stored MP3s regularly and requires the app to be deleted and reinstalled and much else besides...A total disaster. I have thousands of pounds invested in my collection of MP3s and now unable to reliably access them and my playlists created over many years invisible to the new app.I can still make the system work using my windows desktop PC (I have refused to update that app.) But this is very inconvenient and a way of working I didn't sign up for it nor pay thousands of pounds for the spea

As a loyal Sonos user for over 10 years, I have to say the latest updates have been incredibly disappointing. The app has become slower and more unresponsive, and the speakers themselves seem to lag behind commands. This is despite having a fast fiber-optic internet connection and relatively new smartphones. We’re no longer willing to support a system that seems to be declining in quality. And we’re not alone. Why is the New App Worse than the old one???I thought I was the only person struggling with the new updated App until I logged on here and seen other forums, with so many complaining about the same thing, not being able to control their Sonos speakers, what on earth is going on? What are Sonos doing about this? I’ve spent £1000s on speakers throughout my home and no have no way of simply selecting a speaker/room and playing music from it, instead in turns into a whole saga of me wasting time trying to navigate a way to get anything to play anywhere.  I’m yet to see any response for Sonos providing an update on what they are doing about this, apart from reset your Wi-Fi. Unacceptable…SONOS Sort This Out, we’ve paid good money for speakers we can no longer control. 

I upgraded to Sonos from a speaker switch/amp and iPhone setup - which I am woefully regretting.We have a Sonos Amp with 6 satellite speakers, as well as two Sonos One speakers inside a 2000 square foot building on one floor - and, of course, nothing works consistently for longer than a few hours at a time. We stream Apple Music and use a single playlist on shuffle.Looking for input on another solution perhaps with an iPod shuffle or old iPhone with MP3 files on it. The Sonos equipment can’t seem to handle streaming without a half dozen disconnection issues every day, so I’m hoping someone has found an old school way of listening to music on this craptastic system.

Hello my people, I wanted to share a song I heard while listening to the 'Smooth Jazz' station on Sonos Radio. I managed to take a screenshot to make it easier for you to find the song. Has anybody recently gotten a response from Tier 2? I called on Thursday last week (10/3/24), wasted my time with Tier 1 (as usual), and they said Tier 2 would email me to set up a time. Well… a week later, no email. *** in Tier 1 say the request was put in. Is Tier 2 really  that backed up?If Sonos reads this, your tech support is shameful. I had the same problem I’m trying to fix a few years ago and it took Tier 3 to fix it. This is also the exact problem of adding the library that the update caused but I had it before all this as well and Tier 3 was able to fix it. Turned on my Move this AM and got the dreaded “no products found”, here we go again. Anyone else?UPDATE: rebooted WiFi and products are connecting. I believe this was an ISP problem and not a Sonos issue. 

For some reason Sonos Radio disappeared in content services, with all my favorites. I don’t use it much, so I don’t when or why this happened. When I go to add it back, it is in the content list, but there is no way to add it back, lol. The normal button topJustified left is simply not there.I deleted the S2 app and reinstalled it but that is it, so far.Please advise, thanks so much!

on app Favorit  station becomes gray after 1 minute. 

I setup 2 Sonos systems last week for my customers (2 x Sonos Amps for 1 job and a Sonos Arc with a sonos Amp for the other) both of these systems I setup with my account. After completing the installation and handing over to the customers I was unable to transfer the account. After pressing the transfer account button pressing the continue button the app did not go to another page to proceed. 

I recently tried to create a new alarm, just to notice that everytime I choose a song I get thrown out off the alarm and won’t be able to choose a song for the alarm.

When I sign in as an account, I can’t transfer ownership of the system, which means I cant set alarms or add/remove speakers from the “system”. I also cant play anything else than the Sonia radio! (I have a play:3) 

Hi, After Sonos' awesome systems update, some radio stations no longer play from the Sonos app. I wrote to support via chat, where they said to call by phone. I called technical support, where I hung up on the phone for several hours with no result. In the end, the tech rep collected the contact information and said they would escalate the issue. Several weeks around and all are gone. :) Very good customer service!

Hi all, just bought a lovely Play 3 ... but it's on the Sonos app and I need to downgrade it to Sonos S1. I'm following the instructions in the Sonos app but get continual error messages when trying to do the required update. Any help welcome.

As mentioned in another post. Sonos alarm never seems to be able to turn on the radio. Instead it goes for a chime. The suggestion in the post is super annoying. Try to wake the system up. The problem isn’t that the radio is unavailable it is just not able to connect or something. But when I turn off the chime the radio always works! Like always. Why don’t Sonos wait 30 seconds for the radio to be switched to Chime. Because the chime noise is perhaps the most annoying thing ever to get awoken by. This morning I also tried the idea of waking the network. So it has been super awake.It’s just Sonos which is slow. Please fix this.

For about a month I have been unable to play any compilations. It’s because the bug, acknowledged by Sonos, that was rolled out like a month ago. With the bug, all albums are sorted by song artist, rather than album artist. This makes many copies of albums. I have some albums where it gets listed 20 times!I can’t imagine this hasn’t been fixed yet - it’s been a month. If it has been fixed, what do I need to do to my system to get everything right again?

Hey, all - now that Apple Lossless is released for some Sonos products, it’s time to consider an upgrade.My current listening set-up is a stereo pair of Play:3s with a sub (gen 2).Given that Apple Lossless will not play over Play:3s, I am ready to upgrade to a pair of 5s.My question is: if I connect my gen 2 sub to the pair of 5s, will that negate the ability to play Apple Lossless? 

Is anyone suddenly having a problem connecting to Apple Music?  Neither the iPhone nor the PC Sonos app is connecting.  The PC app shows a black screen with “We’ve run into a problem.  Try again.”  The iPhone app shows “An error occurred with Apple Music.  Try again later.”  This first occurred October 15.  Multiple resets results in the same problem and same error messages.  BTW, there is no problem with Apple Music.  Apple Music plays immediately and dependably from all Apple devices.

Many of my albums show up only as individual songs when I open my Music Library.  This happened within the last week.  Since currently there is no option to rebuild the music library on my OS app I instead went to my MAC OS and Updated the Library that way.  However, this had no effect.  Can anyone recommend a solution?  Very irritating to have to play each song individually instead of just playing the album.  Also, on my SONOS OS app I cannot even figure out how to create a queue.  Did they do away with this in the last update?
