I love how Sonos response to the limited library is use someone else’s software and pay for their subscription.  Music fans with large libraries can go pound sand.Plex isn’t good for playlist imports.  But….Roon is expensive as heck.  However Roon streams perfectly with the Sonos hardware and even does whole home playback.  You’re no longer stuck with the Sonos app and even no longer stuck in Sonos hardware ecosystem.Try the Roon free trial

Hey everyone,Today I ran into a strange issue with my Sonos setup. The Sonos app would open (iOS) and show my system, and I could control the volume on my soundbar for instance. However, it wouldn’t show any of my recently played items, music accounts, or let me add my new Era 100 to the system—it kept failing during the update process.I tried everything I could think of:Restarting my Wi-Fi (I use an Orbi 770 mesh system - I know these sometimes appear to cause issues). Restarting my phone. Restarting my Sonos devices (a lot of them). Switching Wi-Fi on and off again.Nothing worked! After almost an hour of frustration, I thought of plugging an Ethernet cable into my old Playbar which first didn't resolve the issue. Hi, Just got a new LG C4 TV after having an old Samsung for 10 years, been using a Playbar the whole time.  I have the new TV and Magic Remote hooked up to the Playbar no problem.  However, my old TV used an IR remote and I was able to control the Playbar’s volume when the TV was off, but I was streaming music to the Playbar via the Sonos app.  The new LG remote uses RF and will only control the Playbar if the TV is on.  I think I am answering my own question here, but is there any way to get the Magic Remote (RF) to control the Playbar directly, with the TV off, so I can adjust the volume of music streaming to the Sonos device with the TV off? thanks… Charlie

It appears that with the newest app release for Android,  which did give us local library album art, that we have now again lost the fix for compilation albums. Yep, seeing dozens of album entries per artist again. I assume others are seeing the same?

I have a mini sub (got rid of the old sub) and I typically have it turned off out of respect for my neighbors.  When I decide to turn the sub on or off there are about 7 or 8 taps/steps I need to go through to achieve that.  It’s not so much the taps but more about remembering the mapping to get there each and every time.So here is my suggestion….. and Its crystal clear in the image below that I created for you.  Include the sub at the bottom of the output selector page and even though it doesn’t have a volume you could use the slider to adjust the amount of bass.  Plus I can turn it on or off RIGHT THERE!!!!  No more 8 steps to turn on and then another 8 steps to turn it off.  I just saved your customer 16 steps.You can’t make it any easier than THAT!  

Still cannot build the local music library. It always times out with an error that the share (which it has been working on for the previous 45 minutes) is suddenly no longer available, or that it may have been moved or powered off, which of course is not true. Tier-1 help desk suggested that I have a double NAT issue. I have a Verizon router with two extenders, and by design, the extenders broadcast the same SSID as the router, and the tech said that was the problem. My understanding of a double NAT is that you have two or more devices providing network address translation for outgoing requests, and one way to detect it was through traceroute:traceroute google.comtraceroute to google.com (142.251.40.238), 64 hops max, 40 byte packets 1 cr1000a (192.168.1.1) 3.594 ms 3.011 ms 2.882 ms 2 lo0-100.washdc-vfttp-366.verizon-gni.net (71.178.216.1) 17.840 ms 9.364 ms 19.354 ms 3 * * *A double NAT would show a priv

Hi @Corry P, I am running 80.11.33 on Android and I'd like to report this bug:Going to Sonos Favorites and tapping on one of the Recently Added items works fine.But, if you go to Sonos Favorites / Recently Added - View All, then tapping on items does nothing.

Hi there,I recently lost the ability to sign into the Sonos app on my iPad. The “recently played” section has a message “Sign in as system owner” message, and when I click the button, I get a browser window for login.sonos.com, but no fields are displayed.If I drag that window over to get a split screen, I can authenticate, but then the app responds with “Something went wrong” (why can’t programmers tell us what went wrong - it can’t be that hard 😃).Please see attached images. I also have the URL used to open the browser if requirediPad = 7th gen iPad OS = 18.1.1 Sonos app = 80.12.03I tried both Chrome and Safari as browsers (via “Default browser”) but the result is the same.I reset the iPad (shutdown and restart) but am reluctant to reset or reinstall the app in case I lose anything more - I’m still able to connect to my services and play from there. System is working fine with both the PC app

The sleep timer in the Sonos app only provides fixed time choices, yet, I almost always want longer than 2 hours and would prefer an ability to choose how long I want the timer to run. Thanks for considering. 

Since the latest app update (December 10 - iOS) I can not longer see the queue when I play a Spotify playlist.  I get a message on the Queue screen (in the Sonos app) saying “Started from Spotify” as if I had used the Spotify app to play the playlist.  But I had used the Sonos app to find the playlist and start it from there, like I have always done.  I can’t see the queue in the new desktop (web) interface either.Is it just me?

My symfonisk speaker stop working with AirPlay.Do you have any suggestions how to fix it?

Since some time, whenever I try to connect to my Sonos 300 Era stereo pair in Apple iTunes on Mac OS (Sonoma 14.7.2 (23H311), iTunes starts to show the Sonos system as “Updating ...” for some time (named OFFICE): followed by “Can’t connect” popup.On the same wifi network I can connect to this Sonos system with zero issues from iPhone and iPad. Only on my macbook I have the issue.Sonos system is updated to the latest version. Hi all, sorry to bang on about this but I can’t seem to get a straight answer.So under Sonos Favourites (this is not my music library) I have the albums but no album artwork and not able to create a new playlist.is this still waiting to be done or is my system Thank you 

Hi, this is 2024-12-15, I'm wondering if the Ikea remote control symfonisk and hub dirigera works with Sonos speakers that are not bought at Ikea. Would like to have the function press a button and start a sonos favorite. (I can tell google and it works variably). Really like the old way of pressing a button. So my main question is can I start a sonos favorite with ikea symfonisk?

So, I purchased a new home which had a Sonos set up - three wall speakers in three rooms hooked up to my router. I downloaded the Sonos app and it worked fine - until today. When I opened it, there was a message that an update was available and I had no options but to download an update. It would not allow me to do anything else or continue until I did the update. Until now everything worked just fine. All I ever wanted to do was play some music (usually a radio station) and nothing more. I know my TV’s will connect but the audio through Sonos is terrible compared to the basic TV audio so, just a radio in the background for the day. I do not use my cell phone for anything but making and getting calls and texting, even that rarely. My cellular data is not connected and I only use an internet connection rarely. Since I am the only one in the household that is even semi computer literate, having the software simply shut down because of a software update when I am not here is not accept

Hello.  My Sonos on Mac says my Apple Music needs to be “re-authorized” but this can only be done on an iOS device. Apple Music is fully authorized and operational on my iPhone, but I do not see any option to re-authorize it for the Mac. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Since the December 10 update to the latest version I have been unable to play music tracks via a linked spotify account on the latest SONOS Windows controller. The Web and mobile apps work fine, I’m able to play local music files and radio stations. I was listening to queued music before the update five minutes before perfectly fine, so this has occurred in the latest version.When I attempt to add music to the queue I get one of three error messages: “Unable to add music to the queue”, “Error 701”, “An error occurred whilst adding music tracks to the queue”. Steps I have taken so far include; Resetting the router, re-adding the Play:1 speakers I have, re-adding the spotify account, reinstalling the windows controller, resetting the windows controller, none of these have worked. 

So some files that I have on my PC won’t play. Sonos scans them for a few seconds then moves on to the next file. It will then skip the entire album track by track. Thought it was file format but happens on MP3s as well as lossless. It’s consistent, ie certain albums just won’t play. VLC plays them fine. The Sonos device was connected to router via Ethernet in case of Wi-Fi issues. I stress, most albums play fine.  I also have a NAIM streamer on Ethernet into a router and this has no such problems. It’s getting more common as time goes on with latest albums. Is it likely to be because these are higher res mp3? The devices in question are play one and three, about 10 years old. 

Haven't been having this problem lately, but tonight it's not showing our system... Anyone else having this problem? 

Not bothered about album art or anything fancy just wanted my own music library to work 66 thousand songs just to play all over the house when I want it's not good enough to pay out thousands not to be able to do this 

Till yesterday I could choose different Spotify tracks for each Sonos Play:1 via Sonos App and play them at the same time.Now, every time I play a Spotify track all other devices stop playing and only one device can play Spotify. I also observed that I am no longer able to make own playlists in Sonos App with Spotify tracks.Anyone having the same problem and solved it? 

I reset Apple Music as I wanted to turn off the library setting of ‘Add Playlist Songs’ and ‘Add Favourite Songs’ because it was dumping partial albums in my library once I had added a single song to a playlist.So I deleted everything in Apple Music and recovered with a function on TuneMyMusic backup/restore.Anyway, what I have are items in my Apple Music Library in Sonos (Desktop and App) which do not exist in Apple Music. I have tried removing and adding the service from Sonos. I have reset the IOS App and reinstalled the desktop App. Nothing seems to update the Albums and the grey items still exist and won’t play. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Sonos App 

My ongoing disappointment with Sonos continues. The system is virtually unusable - literally every time I switch on my Playbar, Sub, Play:1 Surrounds, I have issues introduced since the previous use. Software ‘updates’ that do nothing but create issues. Not least of which that the Play:1 speakers need to be plugged in to the router to update, because while they work perfectly fine when up and running, software updates invariably fail to recognise them to connect and update wirelessly. Thousands of pounds worth of kit that I cannot be bothered to use any more, because of the hassles experienced at every turn. Such a shame, as the sound quality, when working, is now good.When are Sonos going to sort their software, so that the (fundamentally good) hardware, is not being constantly let-down?

I always use crossfade, but since updating my iOS-app to 80.14.09 yesterday the function seems to have been removed?  I am listening to music from Spotify. When I open the MacOS-app the icon is disabled when listening on a Spotify-playlist. When I switched to some Sonos Radio-playlist the icon looks enabled, but it doesn’t seem to work to toggle it. I could still not see the option on my iOS-app.

Any ideas why I cannnot operate sobos system on iphone 16 pro max with ios 18? The app does not find arc, era300, sub. After reinstalling the app and rebooting the sonos system to the default nothing changes. Creating new system helps nothing because the app does not see any the equipment even after unplugging (although in the app it is written it should). Any solution because now I cannot control any of the products ?
