I’ve been using YouTube music for years on my Sonos system. I have a paid premium subscription. Recently I’m finding that it simply won’t play what I choose to play. It thinks about it for about 5 seconds, then loads a previous playlist that I was listening to.
However, it’s temperamental, and will sometimes work normally…..which is very frustrating.
I’ve added the Spotify service, which I don’t pay for, and it works perfectly.
Sonos Radio also works perfectly.
Definitely a YouTube music problem. I’ve contacted Sonos support, and they were o help in this case.
I can use YouTube music perfectly fine with blue tooth or in my car. Just a Sonos/Youtube music issue.
Has anyone come across this?

same here :(

Exactly the same glitchy experience. Sometimes new releases loads, then disappears for the day

I guess to much lag to sonos AWS servers.

Youtube music might be more interested, but might not work properly till sonos improves lag times….

No one seems to moan about any other provider….

Same here...It didn’t show up anymore, and I reautherized using my phone, but no help. Finally shows up on the Windows App but won’t play.

Same here. Only way I can use it is from YT music app and cast it, but even then it’s not reliable.

how is this broken still is beyond me

Not really sonos problem if one of their service partners can’t keep up with sonos changes, they still sell stuff anyway….hopefully time will sort it out.

Guess the more of us report it to YT music the more likely they are to try and help solve it.

Thanks everyone for confirming my annoyance at this! Nice to know I’m not the only one.
I’ve now got a Spotify subscription, as I was using the unpaid version, and it seemed to be working fine on Sonos (just had to deal with adds). But, amazingly, the Spotify service is dong the same thing as the YouTube music problem I outlined - I can pick an artist to play the ‘radio’ - but it just thinks about it for a few seconds, and then reverts to the previous thing I was listening to.

And of course, Sonos Radio works perfectly, every time - and delivers me the advertisements it needs to. Thanks.

Same. I get "unable to add to queue" or it just spins. I try a bunch of different ways (drop speakers, try options like 'add to queue', reboot my phone and/or WiFi, on and on). Sometimes one works, sometimes a different one. Had to reboot all of my speakers speakers yesterday. Super frustrating.
