I’ve had my same Orbi network for many years with the same sonos speakers for over a year without any issues. Recently in the last month, speakers would pop in and out of the iphone app. Same for my ipad. I would try reconnecting it and it would be missing again. I haven’t changed anything with my setup or network. I’m guessing it was something that is happening on Sono’s end. Can someone please offer a fix? It’s so frustrating that I’m ready to abandon the entire Sonos ecosysytem all together. I’ve been a customer since the very beginning but this is getting ridiculous. Maybe we need to bring back the bridge. I’m not willing to spend another dime on another Sonos device.
Which SONOS units are you using? Which ORBI? Are there any mesh points? Are any SONOS units wired to the network?
Have you added any new electrical devices or moved existing ones around, even ones without a radio?
Any of your neighbors added or moved their WiFi setups?
Have you tried one of the other clear 2.4 gHz channels? (1, 6, 11)
I hven’t changed anything and my wifi works as normal. The sonos speakers that are available also works without problems. I’m assuming all of them are on the same channel?
I have the Orbi 550 (2 satellites) and none of them are plugged into any of the speaker. Maybe I need to try that but not idea because the speakers aren’t in a place where I have the satellites. However something to try. I’ve read many people have had the same issues as well with no fix. It’s just weird there have been no changes to my setup yet all of a sudden the speakers are disappearing from the app and different speakers show up on different devices. It’s just odd. We have to check our phone and ipad everytime to see if a speaker is available and this makes it impossible to play on multiple speakers at the same time. The missing speakers will work if I just go to it and physically press the play button, it will resume from the last session. This tells me the internet connection is fine, there is something wrong with how the app is communicating with all the speakers.
