My previous post “Play & shuffle from folder view of local library still missing from Oct 28 app update” has been closed to further comments, so I’m continuing here.As the topic says, the ability to play or shuffle from the folder view of the local music library is still missing from today’s iOS version, 80.16.32, with firmware 83.1-61210.

I am a long-time Deezer user on my Sonos S1 setup.  Starting today, I am getting the error “unable to browse music service”.  All my efforts to fix the issue have been unsuccessful.  Can someone who is subscribed to the Deezer service tell me whether they can still access the service?  I need to know if this is a problem affecting me only, or whether it is a system issue. Why is this thing so bad. It lags, the UI is terrible and the features are crap. It reminds me of an old version of iTunes. Sonos you really need to take note from the likes of Spotify and Google, their apps are amazing. 

I’m playing music from a personal library on a NAS, with the music managed by the Apple Music app on an iMac.Everything set up according to instructions etc - and everything works, plays etc. So far, so good. Metadata is correctly registered.But - the play screen on the app does not show album correctly. It shows some iTunes Library XML gibberish. On the MacOS app, album is shown correctly (image following in a post below)Is there something to do to correct this? Or is it yet another thing that hasn’t quite caught up btewwen the old and the new app?PS: Could we get correct sorting of names with starting with “The” and “A” - dropping these from the sort order as it should be?Screenshot showing correct album information from the MacOS app.

Somebody raised this issue a few months ago, related to an iPhone. You have marked it answered on the basis that Sonos are aware of the problem but have no idea when it will be fixed.I have had the problem on my Android phone for a few months.Please provide an update on the problem resolution.Best wishesBob, Austria

Sonos does not appear to have fixed its glitches that well App still slow, hangs, freezes and can’t find the server despite my network being 100% okdoes this happen to others?

I just noticed the latest update for the Android App to 80.18.23 and upon launching it then invoked the update of each Sonos device to OS Version 84.1-63110. Unfortunately the new App hung at the “Finishing update” stage.  I left it for 30 minutes and nothing happened but the spinning wheel.The Android App and the devices are all reporting that they are at the correct level now so I presume it hung whilst cleaning up but it doesn’t fill you with confidence.

I realize that there have been multiple prior posts on the subject of Amazon Music not updating on the Sonos app. But none have been at all recent, at least that I was able to find. My problem is simple yet frustrating: No matter how many times I add an album from Amazon Music it never appears in the Sonos app no matter how long I wait.  I have signed in and out of Amazon Music.  No luck.  I have rebooted multiple times. No luck. I have refreshed the Sonos app. No luck. Now, I realize that this may be exclusively an Amazon issue, with Sonos as a hapless victim. But given all the issues with the Sonos app, I suspect not. All of my earlier Amazon Music choices are present and working. Only anything new does not populate. Any advice or suggestions would be most appreciated. With thanks. Matteo  

I’ve had a Sonos Beam 1st Gen and several other Sonos speakers for a few years; they worked fine with both the Sonos App and Airplay. For the last few months, however, while all my Sonos speakers continue to work fine with the App, and my other Sonos speakers continue to work fine with Airplay, the Beam no longer works with Airplay. I’ve power-cycled the Beam and restarted my router several times, but the Beam still doesn’t work. Everything has been updated to the latest versions. I’ve noted that there have been several other posts with the same issue in these forums. Is there anything else I can try?

On opening the controller this afternoon after non use for a couple of days the controller window opens but its empty, Windows 11 with latest updates.  I did a system restore to before the latest update thinking it may be the culprit but its not that.  I deleted the app and reinstalled to no avail. It works fine on my Windows 10 machine, tablet and phone. Any thoughts anyone?  

Hi, I'm joining the club of people whose Sonos app doesn't play podcasts on Youtube Music. This issue is also valid on Android12 (S10e), Android15 (P9P), Apple IOS18.3 (iPhone14) and Windows10. I’m facing two problems:1) the new episodes list is empty, but only on mobile apps (Android +IOS),2) when I start a podcast episode in the podcast's library, it reads through the entire library and then says it can't play any of them randomly. This is also true for the Windows 10 version.If I uninstall and reconnect to the YT Music service, it's fine for about 1-2 days, then wrong again.Any solutions for that?Thank you.Ferenc

Since the app update, my Sonos Favorites don’t show up on the IOS App.  I can see them fine on the desktop app.  How do I get my Favorites to show up on the IOS App?

I have classic fm live station set as my alarm. When it’s via Tune In it works - but announces ‘welcome to tune in’ every time. When I use global player, there is no annoying announcement but the alarm doesn’t work. Why doesn’t the alarm work with global player?

I wish to be able to change what time my alarms are set to and it would be super convenient if I could just have a widget which displayed the alarm times set on my Sonos App.I am aware there is a 3rd party app which allows this due to using shortcuts but the price is far too high and I feel this feature ought to be in the native app.Currently I have to go through a few submenus just to get to the alarms (I change them everyday as I have a job whereby I have a different start time each day which is dictated to by my boss so its always last minute notice).

In the long list of problems with the app, this is the top one for me right now. When I use the search function, I get the below message. When I click on it it says everything is functioning (and it is) but I can only search in apple music. If I go to my library to search directly there it crashes and brings me back to the main menu. This means, since I don’t have the letter index on my album list anymore, that I basically can’t listen to any record I own that begins with anything after like E without scrolling for fifteen minutes. Any way to fix this?   

What about fixing Mixcloud on the new app, empty playlists, empty list of followers, empty list of everything almost.. 

The end of the ‘old’ Tunein has terminated the custom radio stream for a too long time already. There is a very cumbersome way to get it back, but it requires far too many steps and the custom links are sent to the favortires where they cannot be edited.The feature still exists in the Windows App but it is useless.I went to Sonos because of this feature and I’m not the only one in this case.So, WHEN WILL YOU HAVE AN ELEGANT SOLUTION to the infuriating lack of this feature???

Bonjour,depuis l’acquisition de ma arc ultra, je rencontre un bug récurrent quand je lis de la musique en dolby atmos via Apple Music.Au 3e titre de l’album et à la 15eme seconde, la lecture passe de dolby atmos à stéréo.si je fais retour arrière du troisième titre, le dolby atmos revient mais au bout de trois chansons le bug réapparaît.j’ai essayé divers contournements : débrancher l’arc puis rallumer au bout de plusieurs minutes, suppression service Apple Music et réinstallation, déconnexion de l’application sonos puis reconnexion.cela règle le problème un temps mais cela finit par revenir.Quelqu’un a une astuce pour résoudre définitivement ce problème ?merci d’avance  Moderator edit:Google Translate- Hello,since I bought my arc ultra, I have encountered a recurring bug when I play music in dolby atmos via Apple Music.On the 3r

I am used to stream the local national radio stations - for witch we already pay concessions - listen add-free. But with sonos I allways have adds when starting up the radio stations. In general the software interface from Sonos is Not Open for normal radio streams. 

I was not able to connect Soundbar with my iPhone using the airplay. It keeps asking me Airplay on screen code which I never had it. Please advise. Thanks 

Our Sonos system used to be so easy and intuitive. Now it’s lost its mind. Various rooms refuse to play, but then come back on out of nowhere. Volume control is all over the place. Sometimes nothing works and we spend an hour trying to figure out why. We know that they had a major software makeover disaster and it seems like it’s ongoing. We’re actively looking for alternatives, it’s super disappointing and the simple act of playing music in your home shouldn’t be this hard. It’s a reminder that new technology isn’t always better. Super disapointing after the money we’ve spent on a housewide system 

I have an iheartradio subscription,  however on my android phone Sonos application, iheartradio is not listed as an available service. Called customer service twice. Rebooted router,phone ,all my Sonos speakers,un-installed and reinstalled the App with no luck.  Sent Sonos diagnostic info x 3. All my info on Sonos.com is correct. Live in Illinois. The iheartradio App works fine on my phone. Any ideals?

Since the recent app update, I keep getting the error message: “Something went wrong. Try again.” — almost every time I try to use the app. I primarily use the “Favorites” and “Recently Played” sections on the Home Screen, but neither works anymore. Whenever I select something from these sections, I get the same error message.Additionally, the “Recently Played” list no longer shows my most recent selections in order, making it harder to find what I last played — and when I do find it, it still doesn’t play.My only workaround is going into the music services directly to play something, which defeats the purpose of having “Favorites” and “Recently Played” at all. This has made the system far less user-friendly, especially for my 85-year-old partner, who can no longer easily play music without my help.I’ve been a longtime Sonos fan, but this update has really shaken my confidence.
