I’ve had a Sonos Beam 1st Gen and several other Sonos speakers for a few years; they worked fine with both the Sonos App and Airplay. For the last few months, however, while all my Sonos speakers continue to work fine with the App, and my other Sonos speakers continue to work fine with Airplay, the Beam no longer works with Airplay. 

I’ve power-cycled the Beam and restarted my router several times, but the Beam still doesn’t work. Everything has been updated to the latest versions. I’ve noted that there have been several other posts with the same issue in these forums. Is there anything else I can try?

Does your router use WiFi 6? 

I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
