Our Sonos system used to be so easy and intuitive. Now it’s lost its mind. Various rooms refuse to play, but then come back on out of nowhere. Volume control is all over the place. Sometimes nothing works and we spend an hour trying to figure out why. We know that they had a major software makeover disaster and it seems like it’s ongoing. We’re actively looking for alternatives, it’s super disappointing and the simple act of playing music in your home shouldn’t be this hard. It’s a reminder that new technology isn’t always better. SONOS has modernized its use of network resources. The default settings of some routers are no longer appropriate. Describe your network. Router? Network switches? Extenders? Mesh system? Include model numbers.
