I get a message that sonos can’t connect to my Mac. Spent a couple of hours with Sonos support who told me to contact Apple. Spent a couple of hours with Apple support who told me to contact Sonos. Found loads of threads of similar problems, no solutions…has anyone ever actually solved this issue or does everyone just give up and use Spotify?

Hello,A customer had their Sonos registered to one of their employee but unfortunately that person left. They have now 4 Sonos that I need to sync and register to the company’s name instead. Is there a way to achieve that ?Best regards.

With the most recent Sonos update, my most recent Apple Music library additions do not show on the Sonos app!  Spent 2.5 hours on phone “troubleshooting” with Sonos to be told it’s an Apple problem. Another hour plus with Apple to be told it’s a Sonos problem!  Considering it all works on the Apple Music app, seems Sonos the issue!  Way too much money invested in Sonos speakers to not be able to listen to anything new!  

I have my local music stored on a Synology NAS DS916+ running DSM 7. Because of the security issue with SMB1 I decided not to enable NTLMv1 but to use Plex instead. So I pointed Plex at my music collection and it duly added 5119 albums and showed them in the Music tab on the left. But when I go to the Sonos S1 Controller on either my iPad or Mac and add Plex as a music service there is no Music folder in Plex showing my available music. I have looked in all the folders under Plex but no music. What step am I missing? Sonos S1 Controller Plex running on my Synology 916+  

I acquired a Play1:Gen1 and wanted to add it to my S1 system, so I factory reset it and then tried to add it using the S1 app. Adding it to my household was fine, but it needed an update, and that failed with the infamous error 1101. I looked at the support page for this error, and as a result I powered down some of my funkier Sonos devices that were not a part of my S1 system, but it made no difference. I tried updating from the PC app and the iOS one, but both immediately gave error 1101.I broke out Network Monitor and traced all the SOAP calls during this failed update, and I could see that my PC was returning UPnP Error 800 to a call. Weird I thought.A while ago I had enabled the Windows Media Server, and as I don’t use it I disabled it, rebooted my PC, and now the update went through just fine.For some reason the Sonos app is finding the Windows Media Server and getting confused when it returns an error.Hope this solution helps the next person who gets error 1101 when trying to ta

There is a feature to Start Radio from a selected YouTube Music track in the Sonos app. However, doing this doesn’t play the selected track, and instead starts from another track within the same genre. Can Sonos play the selected track before jumping to the next?

It’s extremely annoying, not using S2 because it isn’t compatible and now it seems they’re trying to force me to buy a new product ? Maybe someone can inform me otherwise  

Only yesterday I’ve had issues with playing music using the spotify app and now the sonos app.The songs keep cutting out in spotify and when using the sonos app I select a song to play, it tells me it can’t play that as it hasn’t been encoded correctly and then plays it for 5 seconds. Then jumps to another song on it’s own. I’ve ran a diagnostics and here’s my number: 2145252438.

Hello, I’m having an issue with my Sonos system that is incredibly frustrating.  I have several Sonos products (3 s2 amps, play bar, and play1) and when using Apple Music the music will play fine for a few songs and then will randomly stop and then I’ll get a “can’t connect to Apple Music” error.  I’m pretty positive this isn’t a network issue as the other music services work fine and it seems the Apple Music stops working at the end of a song.  If anyone from Sonos is monitoring this I submitted a diagnostic report, (ID: 1821312135) and have removed and re-added the service with no resolution to the problem.Any help on this issues would be greatly appreciated. -Brad 

So this morning (29 Jun 21) I was listening to BBC radio when, mid programme, I suddenly got a repeating announcement that "due to rights restrictions parts of this programme are unavailable". It was BBC radio 4, via Tune In, which is my morning alarm. I have tried other BBC stations, on Tune In and Sonos Radio. I am on the old Sonos App as I am a long standing customer and still use one speaker that is incompatible with the new app (though I have others that are). So what happened, and how do I get BBC back?

I'm unable to stream Audacy stations. Audacy appears in the Sonos app, the Audacy stations appear and I can select a station. But when I press the play button it acts as if it is playing for 1 to 2 seconds and then reverts to showing three play button as if I hadn't pressed anything. I've uninstalled Audacy and reinstalled without any improvement. 

Since the last release, when I queue a song to repeat play, Spotify will play the song for like 10 seconds, then restarts it. If I turn off repeat play it doesn’t do this. If I use a different music service it does not do this. Anyone else having this issue? When I play from Spotify on my phone it works fine (and even if I airplay to Sonos). Seems like an Sonos Spotify API issue

Why can I play Sonos Radio perfectly, music on my hard drive also, but all of a sudden other streaming services either wont play, cut out or simply fail.  Your fix solutions don’t work so I presume you’re now blocking these services to promote Sonos Radio?

H Community,I have a local music library on an SMB share which I added to Sonos. Everything works fine, I can play the music, but the library also contains some ooooold .m3u playlist, originally created by iTunes, which do not work. On the smb share, the structure is like this:Top level: Folder "Music" and the playlist fileswithin "Music": The music files, sorted (mostly) into folders by artist.The playlist files just consist of one line per piece with the relative path to the track, like this:\Music\The xx\xx\11 The xx - Stars.m4aNow when I try to play a file from a playlist, Sonos says "File cannot be played, '\\<IP address>\musicshare\11 The xx - Stars.m4a' could not be found." , so it seems to just be omitting the path to the file. I cannot get Spotify artist radio stations to play on my Sonos today. I can play other Spotify content, like a specific album. But the S2 app complains it cannot get songs for radio station. I’ve never had this problem before. I have reset everything with no benefit so far. Any ideas?  Those artist radio stations play fine in the Spotify app. Just not through Sonos 

Sonos system is working and linked to my Apple Music account. When I search for My Music, Sonos can find my playlists and compilations, but it cannot find my artists or albums! I have reinstalled both apps several times and it’s made no difference. I can stream music, but I want to see the list of albums I’ve saved. Any tips please? Thank you!!

Anyone having trouble connecting to SiriusXM over the last week or is it just my system?

Hello,I have a Sonos Arc with a sub + surrounds that I have used on my PC for a while and had no issues having it connected to the optical port, a couple weeks ago I didn't get sound from my arc I didn't do any updates or change anything. First I tried my Arc on a TV to check the optical adapter and the HDMI, when I connected using the optical it didn't work I then plugged the HDMI directly in and worked so I tried the optical again after and it then worked I decided to get a replacement optical adapter from Sonos anyways to be sure but had the same issues. I have tested my PC’s optical port with other devices like my Astros and it works fine I'm not sure what todo anymore just seems very odd and its very frustrating any help or advise would be great.  

I tried to get help with this problem a year ago but no one helped me. I believe the problem started with a new computer 2 years ago.One of my choices, in deciding what music to play, is “Music Library”, which connects to my itunes. From there, I go to Imported Playlists. I often make changes to my playlists, so frequently I go to Manage > Update Music Library Now.In itunes, everything looks fine. But in Sonos, each of my playlists is listed twice, many with a different number of songs in each list. If I look at that playlist in itunes, it might have yet another number of songs in it.How can I fix this? I wonder if i have an incorrect setting somewhere...something not pointing to the correct path or folder? My Music and itunes folders are kind of a mess...what looks like lots of extra old stuff.Thanks for any help you can give me...

I recently took advantage of the free Amazon upgrade to their HD service. Now, under “My music”, although listings of tracks and artists are present, the album listing doesn’t work. It reports “Requested operation failed. Please try again.”Curiously, some of the genres prove an album listing, but “classical” (of which I have quite a few albums) reports the same error  This relates to the iPad and iPhone apps: same issue on both. I have tried de-authorising and re-authorising it to no avail. Amazon music plays fine and the Amazon Music app also plays through the Sonos system. Advice would be welcome. 

Is anyone experiencing issue with BBC Radio 2 not playing via Sonos Radio?All of a sudden today I can’t get it to play via the IOS app or the PC app. All other BBC stations 1-6 are working fine. I can get I to play via Sounds streamed to a speaker but not via Sonos.I’ve checked for updates etc, etc but no joy. Ideas welcomed

Hi. Since this morning all my favorite stations suddenly play the same thing. Best guess a rock radio with a British woman speaking a lot. Searching the same stations or other stations in the searchbar and playing them gives the same thing. Yesterday night everything was still working fine. Nothing in my set up or wifi connection has changed during the night. Is anybody having the same problem or has someone experienced this in the past?

I have years of faultless streaming of Spotify over my Sonos system which comprises of:a One SLa Onethree Play:3a PlaybaseAll of the above are connected with ethernet cables by wire all the way to the router, not via any type of wireless or powerline extendersI also have a Move and a Roam The problem I experience is that songs stop part way through and then skip to the next track.  It is now getting extremely annoying to the point that a system that I love an recommend to everybody is becoming unusable.I have a fibre internet connection and I have tested it at various times when and I am consistently getting the expected 500Mbs up and down, with 5ms ping times. I have not changed anything to the speaker setup and I am reluctant to change anything because of the years of happy listening. Is there anyway I can do to investigate the root cause? Diagnostic report: 1309863804 Thanks

I am having issues with playing music from my Apple service. When I go to Apple music in the sonos app and select My music it gives me a We’ve run into a problem. Try Again. I have tried 1500 times and still the same error. I am deauthorized and reauthorized it and nothing. I deleted all the sonos speakers and readded them and nothing. I have rebooted each speaker and nothing. There is something wrong with this app and no one can help me with this.PLEASE help I want to continue to buy your product but if I cannot access apple music through the app then I have to find a speaker company that does.
