Controllers and Music services

I changed my password on my Apple Music account.  It works on all devices. Sonos app asks if I wan’t to “reauthorize” I say Yes.  There’s no place on the Sonos App to enter the new password. So reauthorize fails.  And I am stuck in an infinite loop. I see that Sonos owners have been asking Sonos to fix this for 2 years.  I don’t see any solution in Sonos’ support boards.  Is Sonos ignoring this on purpose because Sonos has it’s own music service?Are they willing to loose thousands of customers?What can be done about this? 

Spotify loses connection with my Play5 Gen 2 when streaming both when initiated from within the Sonos app or directly from Spotify. No issues streaming to Beam, Sub, Play1 SL and Play 1 on the same system. all software versions up-to-date. This is a recent issue?

Hi All. Since the Apple Music outage a few days ago I just get the message “Unable to browse music” when trying yo use Apple Music.  I have removed and reloaded the account, reauthorised it etc to no avail.  I have a family account and I did notice that my partners library was working fine which seemed odd. Its becoming a pain now as not all of my set u is Airpaty compatible so fiddling about to link things isn't very user friendly ! I see this seems to have happened over the years but wondered if anyone had a resolution to this ?

EQ not working since 14.14 update on sonos arc 

Hi, I have recently noticed that Spotify controller (PC and Android versions) no longer can see my Sonos speakers in the ‘Connect to device’ option. Up until last week it was working fine. I have recently changed my router and had to reconnect all my speakers again. However, everything is working fine except this particular issue.Any suggestions?

I have had my system for a couple months now. I setup my Music Library, which is a folder shared on my Synology NAS, on day one. After the indexing occurred in the first 24-hours, I have had no issues accessing the library when I click into it. However, after the 14.14 update occurred, my Music Library is now missing! I am able to use Alexa and stream Amazon Music as well as Apple Music without issue. But my library is completely gone. I try to add it back in through the app, but it is not working. It indicates that an initial indexing needs to take place before my library will show up. I have waited for 2 days now, no luck! Any ideas?? I have rebooted NAS as well as rebooted my phone. TV works just fine, too. I would really like to get my library back… HELP! :) PS - I have an iPhone 13 Max Pro, in case that makes a difference. And I should also mention that the app on my phone as well as my Arc, Sub Gen 3  and (2) Sonos One SLs are all currently updated and running 14.14.

The title should of course refer to BBCI like to play podcasts from BBC Sounds on my Sonos system.  Normally these work just fine but if the podcast is flagged as having adult themes or strong language all I get is the warning message “What you’re about to hear contains adult themes and strong language” repeated over and over and the podcast itself never plays. Other podcasts from BBC Sounds play just fine and I can play those with the warning on other devices.It’s really frustrating and I’ve been unable to track down a solution. Malcolm

About two weeks ago, the Sonos app asked me to reauthorize Apple Music (I have an Android phone running Android 12). I followed the steps and ended up in an endless loop of requests for reauthorization. I’ve done everything I can possibly do - my controller and system (Play3) are up to date, I’ve factory reset, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the controller app and Apple Music, I checked my internet connection.I see several threads where this seems to happen from time to time. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and do Sonos/Apple ever fix it?

Have been using Apple Music Service thru the SONOS app (S2) on my Android phone without issues (for many years). Yesterday my Sonos updated to latest software (14.12) and now I am unable to browse any content in Apple Music. Removing and resinstalling the service fails to resolve the issue - It gets stuck in a cycle of continuously requesting the service be reauthorized. Called Sonos and had 2 very frustrating calls. First support agent told me it was an Apple problem and to call Apple. I think everyone could predict how that would turn out! Apple verified my account and confirmed I could access their service thru the Apple Music App. There was nothing on their end they could address. Called Sonos back and went thru the same painful process only to eventually be told it is a known issue on Android devices - Really it took an hour and a half of my time for Sonos to then admit that! Last October i canceled my Sonos music subscription service. Sonos did cancel the service but continues to bill me every single month. Despite multiple emails and phone conversations, Sonos support/sales cannot seem to figure out how they are billing me each month even though i give them my credit card #, email, name, etc. I can call my bank and chargeback all these charges but was hoping Sonos would actually research and resolve their billing issue which is occurring without my permission. Wondering if i need to have a lawyer send a letter to them? 

Unable to connect to RadioApp via the S2 App on my iOS devices.  Means I can’t listen to my local radio stations.  Is it an ad issue?  Updated my phone app 2 days ago.  Am running SONOS via BOOST.  I have multiple devices (i.e. heavily invested) in my SONOS system. 

I have a question. When listening to music, the sonos app (on my imac) stops the music and tells me that my title (the song) is not correctly or properly coded. It’s been doing that for two days now whatever song is on. Somebody has an idea what is happening?

There seems to be problem with localisation in the PC controller app.  When I view the list of shows in a specific list of shows I’ve subscribed to, the date format is not DD/MM/YYYY (UK where I live).  The dates of the shows are listed in MM/DD/YYYY (US) format.Could this get checked out and if I’m not being dumb, get fixed?Cheers

For years my Sonos setup has been pulling music from a QNAP NAS device. The QNAP recently wore out and I replaced it with a Synology device. Sonos is having some trouble with it.I go to the Sonos controller settings, type in the path to the shared NAS folder, and Sonos begins indexing. It seems to be indexing for five or ten minutes, and then it errors out saying the folder is no longer available (screenshot below.) It’s done that four times now.Near as I can tell the NAS device is doing just fine. I can, for example, reliably browse to the shared folder in the Windows File Explorer. But Sonos keeps deciding the connection has dropped. Hi,My sonos system & iOS app updated this morning, and appears to have nuked my music library.When going to Settings > System > Music Library:in Music Library Setup: No network locations are listed, and if I enter the location again it is not added to the list, but the library does show as indexing briefly  I have the option to update music index now, but nothing happens when doing thisThe music library icon under Browse is not showing as there is no music.It does show while indexing is running, but no music is visible.    I have tried the following to try and resolve the issue:rebooting all sonos devices rebooting my phone uninstalling/reinstalling the sonos app on my phone installing the sonos controller app for windowsUpdate: issue appears to have resolved itself after adding the library location and indexing the library for about the 5th time. System Diagnostics: 1592880733

I’ve spent months trying to figure this out.  Through trial and error, I confirmed that when pairing a Sonos sub with a Sonos One, or One SL, I can only stream Amazon music in HD, and not Ultra HD.  A post from Dec 2021 confirms this as another user had the same issue with Play 5s.  Pairing the Sub with my Arc is fine, and streams Ultra HD.  Again from the other post, this is true for the Sonos Beam.  I will be reaching out to Support.  Looking forward to a fix.  I bought a 2nd sub to pair with my speakers for the enhanced music experience.  It would be great to stream to this setup in Ultra HD.

Hello All, I have a Sonos setup in my home with a Play5, 3 Sonos One, and a Sonos Port connected to powered monitors. I have successfully run with no issues for years on my Netgear Orbi Mesh.Since the last Sonos update, each speaker drops connection randomly every day or so. The only way to recover is to power down and reboot the device. I show no issues in the network or router, have done packet tracing etc (Im an engineer) and there is no anomaly in any other device on the network (PCs, TVs, cell phones, etc). Even though it was a waste of time, I reset and re-setup all devices on the network, but the problem persists ONLY with the Sonos devices and the Sonos app. Anyone else seeing similar issues?

I added a new album (cd) to my Music Library folder on my computer, but it is not showing up in my Music Library on Sonos.  I have re-booted, etc.  Do I have to remove my Music Library and re-install in Sonos?

I have had my Playbase for about six years and love it. I added a Roam SL just before Memorial Day to replace a dead Bluetooth travel speaker. All of the devices are on an isolated Wi-Fi network and are within 15 feet of each other and the router. We have three iOS controllers- fifth gen iPad, iPhone 13 Pro Max and an iPhone 6S.Some days all of the controllers see the Playbase/Roam pair which is nice.Other days not so much. If lucky on those days at least one controller will see the pair while the others only see the Playbase. Start playing music on the working controller and magically after some period of time the others controllers will see the pair. If unlucky, all of the controllers will only see the Playbase and we have to go through the Support/Find Missing Products routine. If very unlucky, a controller will appear to see the pair and actually start playing music, but you cannot adjust the volume and if you even touch the Rooms button the Roam will stop playing and back to the S

simply trying to upgrade to the S2 controller and it keeps giving me the screen “Sonos Found on My WiFi Network” with the options of opening the S1 Controller or More Options. Their is no button on the more options tab to Forget my existing network so i end up in a loop with the new app directing me to the existing S1 App. All existing devices on the existing network are S2 compliant. Funny this is it has a button on the options to downgrade products to S1 but nothing to upgrade to S2Do i need to uninstall the S1 APP and start fresh? Sonos should make this a simpler upgrade for sure as some even say you can have a S1 and S2 network co-exist but i don't know how that would work when the new controller always looks and points to the existing S1.Just need some ideas how i can deactivate or upgrade the S1 to the S2 or should I just kill the S1 and start fresh.Although I'm not a tech nerd I am very analytical and can figure things out pretty good. I use my Sonos Amp in my home office from my Mac via AirPlay. This morning, I tried to play some music, and it’s not connecting. It shows up in the AirPlay menu in the Music app, but can’t connect. I can stream via AirPlay from my iPhone with no problem. I recently installed a new mesh wifi system, but that’s the only thing that’s changed in my setup. Any idea what could be going wrong or how to diagnose this?

Hi everyone. I am trying to setup my Symfonisk using the Sonos app. When setting up the app ask me to go to the IOS accessory settings to connect my Symfonisk with my wifi. While I click on the black button I get a window saying ‘searching information about your network’ ‘looking for my network name’. Suddenly I get a list of all the networks in my building, but mine is not on the list. Wich I find very strange because every other device that needs wifi can find my network, even my iPhone which I am using to setup the symfonisk. Does anyone have a solution?
