Controllers and Music services

New laptop, music library copied from old lap top to new laptop, looks like the folder is recognised in SONOS Folders but SONOS will not update the Sonos music library playlists on the new laptop. I have removed the old music path. Still, no playlists are being indexed. I have read similar posts and I believe I have it set up correctly . Please help ASAP.Thanks, Carolyn

I listened to Audible books for many years on my Sonos system. That was Audible.com. I now use Audible.co.uk. I find and begin the books easily. My problem is that the system doesn’t save my place. At first, I noticed it would go back to an earlier chapter. Now, it doesn’t even do that. Every time I come back to a book I have to start from the beginning and jump from chapter to chapter until I get to where I left off. All this assumes I neatly finish listening at the end of a chapter. Otherwise, it is chaos.I spoke to Audible.co.uk help. Of course, they said it was nothing to do with their books. I needed to speak to Sonos. I told them that I had no problem listening to books from Audible.com. They were not impressed.I don’t see anyone else with this exact problem. Anyone have any idea what might be happening? I tried to reinstall Sonos. No difference. I’m using S2.

All,Pocket Casts are not showing on Sonos for too long. What is happening ? Please can you give an update? Thanks.

Same issue as 4 months ago. Error:unable to browse musicsonos app on iOS updated to 14.16 recently and problem started. Anyone else?desktop app same issue and error. 

Canadian user here having issues listening to CBC radio1 through TuneIn radio. It has become incredible annoying to try to listen to the radio through TuneIn over the past few weeks as every fe minutes the program cuts out to hear the”tunein song”, and sometimes ads. This is a new problem, and is driving me crazy. I have updated all apps and operating systems. Does anyone have any advise? Please. 

Cannot share USB audio files with SONOS v2 systemRouter Model: TP-Link Archer C8Hardware Version: V3Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20220510 rel.32759(5553)The USB drive plugged into the Archer C8 shows it is active in the Archer C8 advanced USB settings.  All files are shared with no login required.The network address is:  \\192.168.1.1\sda1\USB_MusicWindows explorer can find the music files OK and can play them,  but the SONOS v2 system cannot access the music library.I have worked extensively with TP-Link and SONOS customer support, but they were unable to resolve this problem.  SO

This morning all channels are inaccessible reporting connection lost or not encoded properly  

When connecting to a radio station, the TuneIn jingle and an ad play over and over again. Other stations are working. This station WAS working just two days ago. What gives ?

I recently reset my Apple Music password and now Sonos won't connect to my Apple Music account. The setup on the Sonos App keeps saying that Apple can be played but when I click on the Apple icon I get a message that the account needs to be reauthorized. Having tried this repeated timed and also removing the Apple service, waiting 10 minutes and reinstalling, the Music service still cannot be browsed. Any suggestion please?

When i try to search for a song on the sonos app, the app loads for a couple of seconds, they I get the message: No results found in songs.I have tried to delete both the app and the connection to Spotify several times. 

Is there anywhere I can get updates on the issue that has been going on for nearly a week now?I have Apple Music added via the Sonos App however, It is constantly asking me to re-authorise Apple Music.  I have done this a few times and ends up saying “Unable to browse music”.Service Status Page indicated no issues with Apple Music (there is a partial outage in my opinion). Been told a few times on chat “Use an iOS device”, I don’t have one and shouldn’t have to have one, to be able to use the services fully.

Hello everybody,I have a problem when trying to play music on my Sonos roam via the Spotify app on my phone, all done with wifi.The roam speaker and the phone are both connected to the same wifi and are updated (roam system and spotify app) to the latest version.When asking the voice assistant to play music on spotify it works fine.The problem arises though when I am listening to some music on my phone, and I want to transfer it to my roam speaker. I can see the device on spotify connect, but when I click to link it it just remains on “connecting...” and never really connects, so I can’t control roam via my app, but just with google assistant.I found out that if put music on the roam speaker using spotify on my laptop then it works fine, and once roam is playing I can see it also on my spotify app. This kind of a workaround lets me use the mobile app to play music on the roam speaker if selected from playlists, but for some reason it doesn’t let me

I get the above message  on my system frequently, the issue almost always resolves itself within a minute or two, without further intervention. it seems to occur more, if I haven’t used the controller for a few hours.I suspect my iPhone is going to sleep and then reconnecting to Wifi and maybe needs a bit of time to sort itself out. any suggestions? running 2 play 1s and 2 play 3s on S2 software. thx

I”m running S2 Sonos, I have it installed on my MacBook Pro (2021) and have about 7 Zones defined.My Music index scheduled for 2AM every morning hasn’t been working for years, just now decided to put in a the issue here to see if there are any suggestion.  It is running of a Drobo NAS which has been for years, but I can say for the past 3 years or so my music indexing schedule is not working.  If I run it manually it works fine.At this point the only issue I have is having a scheduled index running.  I leave the desktop applicaition running and still does not run, of course the only way I can see this is I have a playlist I auto populate with any 5 stars ratings, this is update almost on a daily basis(adding/removing) but when I try and play the  playlist (usually once every 2-3 weeks) it always has songs which I know are not in the current playlist but yet they still show up in Sonos imported playlist. Any suggestions on how to fix the s

I have ripped a CD to my NAS as a FLAC 16 bit file but when I try to play it back on my Play 3 or Beam there is no sound even though the track timer is moving along. It plays fine if I play it back on my laptop.Any clues what I am doing wrong please?

I’ve got a library with about 35k FLAC tracks (stereo 44.1/16 bit) and when pointing Sonos at the library, it appears to do all the right stuff, including asking me to enter my credentials since this library in my Mac, but not in the generic music folder.But it never indexes a single song.  And it doesn’t throw any errors.  Drive is connected directly to the Mac in question.  (System is all S2; checked for updates to controller and players, and there are none available.) What else can I check?

I recently changed my wifi password. WHAT A MISTAKE. Something that must be done by thousands of people regularly shouldn't be a complicated issue for Sonos products should it? Every other system and device I own was able to accommodate the change easily. However, sonos products wasted 4+ hours of my life that I will never get back. Self troubleshooting, reading online forums, sonos' own app provided no help. It took one hour just speaking with a customer service agent and physically moving my sonos equipment across the house to hardwire it via the ethernet first, then reconfigure the wifi. Absolute joke. It seems the only option available is to move your equipment from wherever it is located and plug your devices in individually via ethernet and try to navigate through the app. Good luck.

My music library is located on a NAS (Synology) - it recently stopped updating the entire library. I’ve deleted the path and relinked it multiple times and it still updates the same incomplete list of files — there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to what it indexes and what it doesn’t, for instance there are some bands that I have on compilations and on albums, and their tracks from the compilations come through just fine but their albums don’t, even though the metadata is very similar. If I add new files they will sometimes show up in the index, sometimes not. I have about 40K tracks, so much lower than the 65K limit, and most of them are not recorded at unusually high bitrates. Does anyone have any suggestions? 

Hi I have been sold 2 Sonos  moves as my speakers a Sonos port and a Sonos sub to play music from my vinyl record player which has Bluetooth connectivity. The system Was also to play TV and blue tooth my Spotify account. I cant get it to work can you please help

Cory, This is still a vexxing issue.  Uninstalled, rebooted, you name it, we have tried them all and it is still a recurring issue. Apple Music will not sync and work with our Sonos. Is the reason known?  Is it fixable at the user level? thx

Afternoon all …. the perils of going Sonos shopping 😉Bought, installed and added an ARC and two Sonos One’s to work with a TV. In the main I think all good. They connect, they updated and give the indications they are close to working but not in the right room I think.We have a room called Otters Den. Originally, in that there was an AMP & a couple of ceiling speakers. The ceiling speakers are at this time still connected to the AMP. (wondering now if that’s confusing things?)The install process for the ARC appeared to go well. Also the first One the same. The second One a little more troublesome but seems in and connected. They are (should) be on wired connection although we have strong wifi here as well.But where the room is called Otters Den, the newly installed devices appear to be a new room called Otters Den 2 (the ARc and 1 x One) and Otters Den 3 (1 x One) …. fairly sure I didn’t ask to create new rooms but to add to Otters Den, Currently they

Some of my Spotify playlists stopped showing up in Sonos. I signed out and in, un-authorized and re-authorized and now NONE of my playlists show. How do I fix this?

CBC Service problem: For the past couple of days, any CBC program I try vis the service in Sonos is "no longer available." Streaming works fine on the CBC Radio and Music app, but not via Sonos. Any tips?

My Sonos one is showing in my system but beam isn’t. The Sonos one is connect on 5G but the beam will only connect on 2.4G. Would this be why only 1 of them is showing up? If so what do I do? many thanks
