Device instead of app

Hi all I am planning on installing several sonos amps and wired speakers in a new build. Can anyone tell me is there a device other than my phone that I can play music and the radio through. I like not needing my phone when I come home from work so is there a device that I can stream from that would sit on for example the kitchen island this preventing me from needing to use my phone?

Any Android, IoS device or you can use a voice assistant. (Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri)

Remember, the ‘controller’ app on your device is merely one of several potential ways of operating the Sonos system, which actually exists in the Sonos devices themselves. The ‘controller’ device, can leave the network completely, and your Sonos will continue merrily along.
