Controllers and Music services

For shame, Sonos.For shame, Sonos.  How many years have you been leaking memory on macOS?  Do your developers not know about freeing allocated memory?  Any plans for making the controller not hoard memory on my machines?

2 Days ago I had NTS playing on my Sonos speakers, I needed to vacuum while it was on, and unplugged a speaker that was playing. I’ve done this before, and nothing unnormal happened. The other speakers continued playing. I’m not sure if this caused the problem or not. After trying to start any NTS stream afterwards, the Track information updates, but none of them will play. The error log shows the same error for every station ‘cannot connect to NTS Radio because the server cannot be found.’ The Stations are playing fine through the NTS website. All my other Sonos Services are still working just fine. Any idea how to fix this? My next troubleshooting step would be to reset my entire sonos system, which I’d like to not have to do.

I’m consistently getting connection issues when opening up sonos. It’s become extremely unreliable.Then in the time is does connect, it loses connection and I have to powered down all me speakers by removing the plugs.   

I am using the IOS app and this device will not go away even after a reset, router reboot and full power down.The wrench icon will only trigger a wizard to re-attach the device, nothng to actually delete it permanently. Is there some mysterious trick to getting this device to go away? It is not registered under my account (it was a house guests device, and they took it with them when they left.)

Hello!I have a sonos beam 2 that is no longer connected to the phone after I changed the internet network. it appears to me as an error: it is not registered in the network. what can I do?

Dear Sir/MadamDue to a PowerPoint problem, the electrical supply to the house was shut off. As soon as the power is restored, all three rooms appear to be working in the Sonos App. I cannot get it to play anything until I try to play something. Tune In does not have any radio programs. My Tidal streaming account was used to listen to music. Once again, nothing. I need your help

Since the beginning of the season, I’ve been able to stream Seattle Kraken games on my Sonos system by tuning into their local station (KJR). Starting last week, my access to these broadcasts has been denied. This problem occurs when I try to access the broadcast via Sonos radio or TuneIn. Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to whom I should contact regarding this problem?

I can stream radio station KROQ (106.7 in Los Angeles) no problem in Sonos via TuneIn.  I am trying to set the station as the selected music for an alarm.  Is there a way to find the path to select this in the main part of the app or does anyone know what the path is to select it? When you go into the select music portion of the Alarm it gives you a ridiculous amount of drill down menus many of which have multiple alphabetical listings - ie they go A->Z A->Z a few times over.  Additionally there is no search option to just search for what you are looking for in what appears 100s of possible selections.  I know it is possible as I have one alarm already set to KROQ but I can’t remember how I found it.  Thanks!

Hi all. I have my Beam (Gen 2) hardwired with 2 SonosSL as surround speakers (not hardwired). Until recently they were all connected via SonosNet showing WM:0. today SonosNet is greyed out and they are showing as copied below. Any ideas?  The only change recently made was static IP’s for all devices.  Secondary question, Should I disable my Wi-Fi network that I previously used?  Maybe that will “force” SonosNet?  Or does it not work like that?    

I can stream to all of my Sonos speakers except for a stereo paired set of Play 1’s.    When I use the Spotify to send the steam to the faulty speakers, the app it shows the speakers.  The speaker icon blinks on the spotify app and nothing happens at the speaker.  If I stream to another speaker, I can then join Spotify to the faulty pair and it plays.  Specifically, the problem is that I cannot stream Spotify to the play 1’s alone. I am thinking my next step is a factory reset of the faulty speakers. I have a whole house Linksys Velop Mesh network.  All my speakers are wired into that network with a wired MESH backbone.  The problem started in the last few weeks.  The same problem occurs regardless of the Spotify account I use.  I have a Spotify family plan.  I am on the latest Sonos 2 app and firmware. Thanks for the help. 

There are 4 Sonos devices in my house; two in the living room, one in my office, and one that my partner owns in the bedroom. The two in the lounge are a stereo pair, the others are single speakers.Somehow the one in the office and the two in the lounge have become connected, and show as “Office + 1” when I play via Spotify Connect. I don't want that- I want to have them separate.So I opened the Sonos app, and tried navigating to groups to see if I could separate them somehow. However, when I do this, it asks me for the password to my partner’s Sonos account- one I don't have, because she's away on business at the moment.So, I turned her speaker off and tried again. It now says “Groups is only available for systems with three or more rooms”, so I can't change it.I don't want to add hers to a group, I just want to ungroup the ones I own. I should be able to do that without needing two passwords. What am I doing wrong here? Does anyone know how I can

I have used Sonos for several years on Windows 10 have have just upgraded to windows 11 and everything has gone pear shaped I have tried several things but Sonos will not log on to my system as a result I have had to disconnect my Sonos products a sub a music bar and a Sonos one in the past it was simple to connect but some thing has changed please please upgrade so it will interstate with 11

After switching on my speakers my app (S2) says that there is an error with my WiFi and let's fix it. I spend about 10 minutes trying to rectify this for nothing cause it still unable to find my products. Tells me to restart my broadband, turn off and on my products, press the two buttons on the device yet still not find anything. Everyday I go through this and now enough is enough. I was looking at getting the arc and sub but due to these using the app I'm put off getting them for this reason.

I have Apple HomePods all over my home.  I have an Arc 2 SLs and the 3rd gen sub in my media room.  Having people over last night and was trying to play music everywhere. The media room Sonos shows in the airplay menu but you can’t connect to it.  It’s also no longer in my homekit home.  What I’ve done so far is power cycled all Sonos speakers. Power cycled my iPad and iPhone.  Power cycled the network switch the Sonos is using. Nothing is on WiFi. And power cycled the access point in that room.  Is a factory reset needed for my system?  

I am getting a 1000 error repeatedly. There was another issue that mentioned the answer is to disconnect from VPN. I do not have VPN for the device I am using any other ideas? 

I keep getting 701 error when I go to play my Spotify Songs. When I play from ANY other playlist on Spotify, it all works fine. Im a little annoyed the Sonos keep just putting this down to a ‘network error’ and to restart my router to be honest. What difference does it make if its MY playlist or another playlist on Spotify??

Even after a re-install of the app. This applies to both the app on the iPhone and the PC app. Thanks for any thoughts.EDIT: this only fails when listening to radio feeds. Works fine when playing my music library. IfI switch back to a radio feed, it shows the same title from weeks ago.

In the past few days I’ve notice a problem with Amazon Albums. You can select play, but only one track will play, before it starts to play other tracks from other albums. They are not completely random. Its almost as if it is stuck in a ‘play other tracks like this’ mode. Also, I can’t add the album to the queue. This appears only to be a problem with Amazon music. Any ideas on what's gone wrong or how to fix it? (I’ve tried reinstalling Amazon music)

I have a QNAP 4 bay NAS with 3 x Samsung EVO SSD, one of the drives is dedicated to MP3.Setup is a combination of Play 3’s (Wireless and Hardwired), Playbar (Hardwired) IKEA Sonos (Wireless and Hardwired) I was having constant problems with any speaker either hardwired or wireless dropping out, songs skipping and just general unreliability. Sometimes it would play a song for 20 seconds then skip to the next, it would do this every day some days it went on for hours, a lot of times the app would come up cannot play ?? as file couldn’t be found. I thought it might have had something to do with my house Double Brick and concrete slabs on both levels,  once I worked out  it was doing it on the hardwired devices that ruled out a wireless problem.I suspected the NAS was causing the problem as there wasn’t any other devices in the loop, thing is, it all worked perfectly fine before I moved into this house. The only change I made when

Hi all,may be having a brain fart but I can’t seem to find specific radio stations on the app, namely Radio Chemical and the Thom York station.I’ve used the search button and it’s given me nothing. A search through the station lists has also given me nothing.any results I do get tend to come from my Apple music.at a bit of a loss so any help greatly appreciated. steve

Hello!  I noticed just recently that my Spotify playlists that are larger no longer add to the Sonos queue.  I get an error that says, “Unable to add songs to the queue.”  This only happens with my larger playlists, the smaller ones add just fine.  Does anyone know why this might have just started happening?  I’m using the S2 controller.  Any help is much appreciated!

Sonos system working seamlessly on old Android phone, upgraded to new A53 and now can’t connect to Sonos system with S1 Controller. System consists of 1 Bridge and 2 Connects. Have gone through all the obvious steps and the S1 Controller keeps telling me “Product not found”? BTW… not a techno-guy, so a little patience please. Thanks in advance!
