I moved my play 1 and Play 3 since when I have been unable to reconnect either.

I can only use S1 as my phone does not support S2.

The reconnection options on S1 are greyed out or are not present making the app useless.

It appears that my only option is to purchase a new phone which supports S2 which I have no intention of doing.

Should I sell or otherwise dispose of my speakers ?

I should add that I have been visiting various outlets seeking advice, over about a three month period, to no avail

This is an aspect of our technological world. I had to recycle a perfectly functional phone because the cell towers would no longer connect to my “old” phone.

Unfortunately you’ll need to choose between SONOS and your phone, or buy a cheap tablet. Note that the really cheap tablets may soon have an “age” issue too.

Get a friend with a newer phone to come over, load the S1 App and use it to set your Sonos up.

Another option is to use a tablet that is on a supported OS.

You don’t need to move to S2 for this and I wouldn’t.
