Controllers and Music services

Most frustrating part of the app is that I can’t adjust all the different speakers to the same volume level with a one-button click. Like a “sync all volumes now” button.Anyone else experience this frustration? It seems like such a straightforward feature versus having to individually slide 10 different speaker zones when you want to volume level.

S-2 app - when I go to play a particular station in my Favorites, it consistently plays the previous station (yet shows the “correct” one in my “now playing” window.

for years Ive been able to get Pandora’s thumbprint radio on my Sonos 1 account which I must use at home as I have wired speakers into the system as well as Sonos speakers. Now I receive a message that saysyour account does not support this system. I have tried deleting and reinstalling both Pandora and Sonos app. This doesn't help.

In the old days of hifi on any receiver you had bass and treble knobs.  When playing a certain song or group if it needed a little more bass you would just reach over and turn up the bass.  With the new sonos systems there is no easy way to raise or lower bass & treble for the whole sound stage.  I know about the settings but you have to go 3 levels deep in there and it will only adjust one piece of equipment not the whole sound of the room.   My example is say you are listening to rundmc and the bass is very pronounced then you play some van halen and need more lower end.  There is no easy way to do so.  Please bring back the bass & treble knobs.  Please put them on level one of the app.  we are know no one setting is perfect for every different kind of music. 

The music library is a local drive on my computer, both my computer and the sonos unit are cabled to the LAN. there is no problem indexing and i can find the files in the sonos app file explorer and add to queue.some files, seemingly at random, will stop after playing 2 sec the log shows either that sonos could not find the file or connection to the library was lost.If i go back to the file in question it will repeat the error, however.. if i am fast enough and skip ahead in the track it will continue to play without stopping. If i empty the queue and refill it with the same pool of tracks, it will be some new random songs that cant be accessed and the previous ones might play fine now.Other times, it will stop before a song ends, same errors in the logs.I do not have these problems when playing the tracks in something like musicbee on my computer. This is really really annoying.This happens with the app in windows, i am not 100% but i dont

When I stream music with the Sonos App from Amazon Music Unlimited to my Sonos Arc + Sub 3 + 2 ERA 300 surround, the volume increases a lot when a Dolby Atmos track plays. I need to lower the volume for at least 10%. Then when a HD or ULTRA HD track follows I need to come back to the initial volume. For example if the standard volume for a HD or ULTRA HD track would be 20%, the same volume for a Dolby Atmos track would be 10%.Setting the lecture mode in fading (“fondu enchaîné” in my french app), doesn’t fix the problem.It’s really annoying !Does somebody know how to fix it ?

Music search no longer includes music from the SD card in my tablet.  I see the music when I select “On this mobile device” in music browse.  It used to be included in search results, but apparently not since last upgrade.  I am trying to enter the directory location in the music library setup, but I don’t know the format and the app does not browse file locations.

I had a roam device briefly, set up as an alarm during brief stay during travel, then returned the item and left the network/router behind, and now everyday the “Sonos alarm” pop up happens on my phone, but the device and associated Wi-Fi/network are long gone; but I can’t find a way to delete the speaker! Help! 

This is being posted after contacting both Sonos and Samsung support.Using Sonos and playing MP3s on the phone, after playing until the phone sleeps, the connection stops, stopping the music.  So, the screen is black.  If the phone is then picked up and the lock screen appears, the music connection continues.I've contacted Samsung support, who feel the issue is with Sonos.  Their reasoning is, the phone stays connected to wifi for mail and text, so why not the Sonos wifi connection.  I have also changed MP3 players with no change in behavior.Both Sonos Roam and other bluetooth speakers play the MP3s without any interruptions.Posted internet solutions for Samsung phones provide instructions which do not match my Samsung S22+ options.

With spotify I can't put more than 2 different songs in 2 different sonos, with sonos radio if possible, with sportify is it possible somehow? Is there any music service that allows you to put more than 3 different songs in 3 different sounds?thank you.

Feature Request Windows PC Controller to see if Dolby Atmos is playing for music

Hi!  I got a problem since maybe the day I owned the Sonos device but I didn’t pay it much attention but as it kept repeating, I’d like to ding an answer. i got a Sonos Beam coupled with 2 Ones for the TV, a One in the kitchen, and one Move.  When i connect to one of these speaker for the first  song with Spotify, it always start the song in the middle of it, although on my iPhone, the song on the Spotify app appears to be at the beginning if I refer to the timing showed on the app. When I click to rewind the song, it starts again the song and this time there’s no problem. I saw also a problem when watching a movie and putting the audio on beam/2 ones and the One on the kitchen (which is very close, about 6/7 meters), the audio briefly disconnect for a second each minute. Any help on these issues?  Thanks

For several months now if I try to update the Sonos controller when prompted by the Max controller after I’ve entered my Mac password and the install downloads it fails. I have to manually remove and re-install from the web. Not a big deal but wanted to mention it so the developers may see

I’m re-introducing this topic because it has been brought up before and after all this time, Sonos seems to have failed to do anything about it.   Both Sirius XM and Spotify drop very regularly, at least twice per hour if not more.  With both I get the error message “Unable to connect . . .” and with Sirius XM I also get the message about not being able to play because of some “encoding” issue. I have gigabit Internet coming to my home and all my Sonos speakers are connected via 3 Sonos AMP’s which are connected via Ethernet cable, so WiFi is not even involved.Any ideas?  Also, with all the complaints, why hasn’t Sonos addressed this issue being experienced by so many customers?

On my up to date Android phone, I have a large library of mp3 and flac files. It is largely maintained in Black Player. Black Player makes playlists in the android media engine. About half of these playlists appear in the Sonos app. But about half are MISSING. Where is the Sonos app looking for playlists?

I have a Sonos One Speaker that has been hooked up to my home internet since 2015. It has worked just fine until recently -- when I opened my Apple Music account and got the message:“Your Apple Music account needs to be Reauthorized” I click “OK”, and get: “Your Apple ID xxxxx will be used to reauthorize account”  The ID is correct, so I click OK.After a few seconds, a screen pops up ( with bells and banners...) and the text says: “Your Apple Music Account has been Reauthorized” SO...I click the “DONE” button at the bottom and get the message:“Unable to browse Music...” I click out of that screen and get:“Your Apple Music Account Needs to be Reauthorized”  AARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!I could play that loop many times with no good outcome...Everything is up to date, speaker, sonos software, computer, etc.Here’s what hasn’t worked so far:   1) Turning Router off an

I’m sure this has been posted many times, but I just want to voice my frustration that after being such a loyal customer, investing so much money in a house-wide system and most recently buying a Roam that won’t work with my S1 controller, Sonos completely sucks for leaving its older products behind and cutting us off from buying new products.  Major thumbs down.  I’ll be sure to warn others on this on Amazon reviews, etc.

Just entered new password but still denied access to upgrading.

After days of nagging about the 15.1.1 update I gave in and installed it on our system. After this a prompt to do Trueplay calibration on our Arc+Sub+2*One came up and I started that.After multiple tries it still fails with a message (roughly translated from Swedish) “one speaker went missing during calibration”. During the calibration I hear all speakers working but noticed a very high pitched noice from one of the back channels right at the end of the calibration.Support diagnostics: 2108779561

I’m so fed up with Sonos. I am literally furious that every time Sonos updates something, I have speakers that drop out of the system.I cannot roll back my system to S1, when I start the S1 controller it tells me the problems, and what needs updating, then prompts me to download S2.S2 fails to correct the problem, I just want at this point to return everything to its former working state without running through three floors and resetting everything.  Sonos seems to do this to me every six month or so.I have purchased Sonos products as gifts for others, I’m not doing that anymore if this is what I saddle them with.At this point I have nothing good to say about product support, I just want my old, not updated system back. 

I’ve managed to get my music library (USB stick plugged into router) imported into and playable in Sonos (Beam Gen 2), and when using a laptop this is just about OK -- though there doesn’t seem to be any way to do a shuffle play of the entire library or subdirectories within it, unlike every other player I’ve used at home and in the car -- is there a way to do this or am I missing something?However there’s no way to do this using the Android app which would be my normal method of controlling the system, it seems it can only use playlists. I suppose I could generate a playlist of the entire library (or parts of it) on the laptop, but I suspect the Sonos might choke on a playlist with >10000 tracks in -- and also I can only see how to add tracks to a playlist one at a time, is there a way to add multiple tracks or entire albums in one go?It seems that Sonos is completely focused on streaming and mostly ignoring customers who want to play their own music -- in my case

Recently my sonos plays one track only and not the entire album as before. Any idea how to fix this?Thx

I have a custom mp3 stream added & working fine in the old TuneIn service, I can’t see a way to add it in the new TuneIn?I’m concerned support for the old plugin will be dropped.Ideally there’d be a way outside TuneIn to add custom mp3 streams. 

Hi my sonos port no longer works as a upnp renderer using foobar2000 on windows as the client/controller. Interestingly I'm able to use my Roam as a renderer and all speakers in my s1 system also work OK as renderer too from the same PC. Even more confusing is that BubbleUPnP (android app) IS able to send a UPnP stream to the Port.
