Controllers and Music services

I have my Beam connected to the TV.  I am seeing the beam “wallpaper images” cycle but nothing more.  I am playing Spotify with my phone and connected to the Beam.  Nothing showing what Spotify or any song display shows up on my TV.  Why not?  

Have a case number - ******** - Had to bail after an hour of running through what I’d said and done ten times… Opened my iPhone app on Monday to play tunes. It forced a software update. When the update finished my library vanished. Updated on my Win10 PC. Same result. NAS is a Buffalo LS441D. No issues until this point. Have rebooted the NAS, router, etc. etc. etc. Same result; library tries to build but dies about five minutes into the process. “Music Files Not Available” error. Horsecrap: The NAS is happy and up and has had zero config/update changes in the last six months. On the initial hour long call, tried the turn SMB on/off on the NAS. No joy. NAS share permissions are set R/W across the drive and Sonos login credentials are for the admin level. Hoping somebody at Tier II level reads this and can assist, else I’ve got two Fives, a Connect, and two Roams that just became worthless bricks. Moderator Note: Removed case

Just purchased a Sonos Arc and have downloaded the Sonos app. Using version 15.4TruePlay is not listed under sound options. Where do I find it?

Hi ,i saw similar issue on the forum but was not able to fix it.i try to Connect from deezer on sonos era 100 through airplay i have a windows to enter my airplay pssword but i do not have. Same issue from youtube. I already tried to reinstall from scratch but did not work. ( iPhone and sonos softwares are up to date) i have no Apple TV. Sonos not visible in home application.  how to fix it?except that very nice product ;) thanks alexandre   

Recently my phone library disappeared off sonos app. I can't get it back.

I have created  lists of songs to listen to, but the source was on a diskstation, Today, all my music is directly on my PC. How can I convert my lists in an easy way from the diskstation link to my PC-link?

It had been working flawlessly until roughly 2 weeks ago. I can access Sonos website on my laptop using my ID and Password. So no issue with either of those. On my phone app – it will find the system and allow me to only stream Sonos radio stations throughout my various rooms. I cannot access my Apple Music playslists or Sirius/XM I have not changed my router or eero mesh system I have unplugged the router, all eero stations, and the Sonos system (amps etc.) and replugged them in I have removed and reinstalled the Sonos app several times I have checked the settings on the iphone to ensure that Bluetooth, WiFi, Local Network, Background App refresh and Cellular Data are all on. Every time I attempt to sign in with username and password so I can access I get the same 3 screens: SCREEN1 – “Let’s Try that Again – Something went wrong. During normal operation I loose control of volume and pause. this is my setup  beam plus’s 2 Sonos one —- airplay to select speakers…. Spotify for musicwhen my system locks up there is no way to shut it down with the iPad controls , Spotify Controls , or Sonos App. After a few minutes it usually clears if not I have to unplug speakers.  any suggestions to resolve this ? 

I can’t play a play list. You play one song it will then start the next one and play for 10 seconds the jump to the next or another song and sometimes it just stops.

Search function is not working properly. If I search for an Artist and click on an album I used to then see a list of all tracks and could then create a playlist or just play songs easily. Now it is no longer letting me see tracks within artists or albums. I assume I have missed something I need to do or some additional update as this is dreadful. I use Amazon Music as streaming service. Thanks 

I installed the S1 Controller on my PC and app on my phone. I’ve set up my Play 5’s but cannot get the controller to recognize the music folder on the PC. I keep getting a reoccurring message that the “Home-PC” cannot be found. That was the name of a previous PC but not the current one. Any suggestions on how to get the controller to recognize the new PC? Thank you in advance for any information provided.Where the music files are locatedError message received

Hi s1 app play 5 gen 1 has sonos radio but then hangs when searching help 

My app won’t let me log in. All greyed out saying can’t connect to system. However, speaker is playing music (but even when it’s not), my husband has access to account and SONOS speaker and app works fine for him. In other words the speaker is connected to WiFi and can play though husband’s iPhone app. I have deleted my app and tried again but app thinks I’m trying to connect a speaker to the system. How can I log into the already existing account which we’ve used since we bought out first generation speakers? How can you troubleshoot if you can’t even log in?

Using Apple Music through the Sonos App, how can you play all songs by an artist? Not just on one album. 

I always use Deezer (similar to Spotify) but suddenly (I think after an update) Deezer disappeared in my Sonos account. Is it no longer supported?

I am trying to add a music service to my Sonos App.  However, when I go to the Services and Voice tab none of the already added services allow me to click on them.  See the attached image as everything has the text in a light color.  Also, if I click on anything I get the error shown in the attached image as well.  Anyone know what to do to fix this?  

I upgraded most of my household to S2 devices back in Feb 2023.  I kept one S1 zone player active for my garage that I controlled using the S1 mobile app on my iPhone. This worked fine for months, but in the past week, the S1 mobile app prompts me to Use the Sonos S2 app, and I’m not clear what changed or what I need to do.Did the S2 software change now support control over S1 devices?  I think I might need to factory reset my S1 device, but not sure.  Thanks for your help.

I have a problem with my current S2 15.4 (auto-updated) will no longer support Android ‘On This Device’ feature to play music from an SD card.  I understand from (a now closed thread) that the solution is to downgrade the app to an elier version.  i.e. 12.0.6. Where do i find this version of the app please?

Hi I have a problem logging onto Sonos from my iPhone - I get “something went wrong. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the internet and try again”. My iPhone is connected to the internet.I can use my phone to play some of the free services such as radio, however when I try browsing Deezer i get the error “unable to browse music - there was a problem connecting to Deezer.Other devices in our house are fine - they can operate Sonos as usual - the problem is specific to my app/phone (on the latest IOS and app has been deleted/reinstall). Please help!!   

I recently changed all of my Sonos speakers to a separate Sonos Net instead of direct WiFi (one speaker with a wired Ethernet connection).   This was because Sonos still seems to have issues with mesh WiFi networks - speakers randomly disappear from the list, especially if the controlling phone moves from on mesh node to another.This worked well to stabilise Sonos (apart from Roam, which unfortunately does not support Sonos Net).Unfortunately, although the Sonos system now works better for streaming, this seems to have killed access to my local music library on a Synology NAS.   It seems that the music library configuration can’t cope with the speaker and library not being on the same subnet.   Unplugging the Ethernet cable to revert the speakers to WiFi connection brought the library back online immediately.Is this an issue that Sonos are aware of?  I seem to be stuck in a no win situation here - either no music library access, or accepting that sometimes not a

I recently changed the location of my music files on my PC (Windows 10) to free up space on my C drive.iTunes is working fine, having recognized the new location of the files, and repopulated the playlists etc from new folder.The sonos app, however, refuses to see the files in their new location, despite deleting app, resetting app, reinstalling app, deleting music folders (under music library settings) and adding them again.I don't understand why when I ask app to update music libraries (which includes the iTunes playlists which iTunes has found in their new location), that sonos says that the files can not be found, or duplicates playlists without either the original or duplicate actually working.And why, even when I reset app, delete it, reinstall it, it still has a memory of old music libraries that no longer exist?Has anyone had success in shifting the location of their files and then getting Sonos to continue to work again?
