hi

each and every time there’s a system (HW) update it takes forever to install

I tracked the issue down to… some Sonos speakers registered in my account are in a different house (my country house) and the updater keeps searching for *all* of my speakers

I believe this behaviour started with OS2

This can only be fixed by Sonos, right? :-/

Just enable the automatic update feature in the Sonos App and set its schedule to perhaps update all your Sonos hardware overnight (2:00am-4:00am) and then you won’t need to update it yourself, nor will the update interact with your controller device. Once you’ve done that, all you need do is update the App only, which takes seconds, rather than minutes.

yes, automatic updates are already enabled but they only happen “sometimes” (… days!) after a SW update is released so when I launch Sonos app…

ok, ok: I’ll click “Later” 😝

thank you Ken
