in the "manage" menu of the Sonos application, I can't access the music library settings or update the music library, these suggestions appear in grey.

Both Controller(s) and Devices all need to be on the latest version or you see this issue.
If running the update doesn’t fix things power-cycle your Sonos and reboot the controller and try again.
