Controllers and Music services

can someone PLEASE help!  I have a new router and cannot connect my sonos system to it.  I have tried everything that is advised via the website and app but it just won't connect.  I've tried to call but there is a 60 minute wait, I've tried to Live Chat and I'm 30th in the queue.  Please, can someone in the community help????

My Boost is not showing in the list of Sonos components or ‘About Your System’ in the new S2 app.Additionally, the Boost is not shown in the list of components on the Sonos Mac app or web app but it IS shown in ‘About Your System’ on both.Furthermore, when I initially updated to the new app on my iPhone, the Boost was missing, yet I still had the ‘old’ app on my iPad, and it was displayed correctly (in the list of components and ‘About My System’).  As soon as I updated my iPad to the new version of the app, the Boost disappeared.  I did call Sonos Support and they confirmed that the Boost was working fine.Can anyone please help with this?

There is a wrong email address associated with my sonos that I can’t get past and can’t find anywhere in the app or on the website

I have saved an account but now I can’t delete it. I have tried several times but it keeps saying account not removed. 

Hi All,  I am running a Mac Using Ventura 13.6.7 (it auto updated grr) and in the update the sonos app updated to S2 v16.2 on the desktop and can no longer connect to the music library on the mac so I can no longer play all of the music I have stored. It seems that this might be an issue that has been around for a little while from reading the threads but there seems to be no resolution. Can anyone advise a solution or work around.  Many thanks  

After the May update to the SONOS app (S2), I was able to update my Playbar to S2 software. However, now S2 cannot see the device. What can I do? HiI’m not sure if this is related to recent app or system updates, but have recently noticed a change in Speech enhancement function on my Arc.Whilst watching Doctor Who on BBC iPlayer I noticed the speech was very quiet. I checked the speech enhancement setting in the app and it was switched off. It was switched back on and the sound improved a bit.The next night the same issue occurred.Previously after the setting was switched on, it remained activated. Now it seems to disable itself and needs to be manually turned on each evening.Is anyone else having similar problems .

My iTunes library was deleted after last Sonus update. I can't load it. How do I get to play my music?

So I can’t simply play music from a folder from my 5000$ computer.. Sonos can well and truly F $ R K OFF I will deposit this rubbish out the window and spend weeks advertising you cant play your own music on this junk. pay thousands for a full set up and error 913.

I changed my router to one gig. Since then I have issues. First the SL one were in another room. I managed to haven them play together. Now not speaker I the app. I upgraded the network in each one but after that keep asking to connect. I did the reset but still. 

Trying to connect to WD EX2ULTRA NAS Drive. Was getting an error that pointed to adding an entry to the Register which I did. However I still cannot connect.  Now get:Sonos was unable to add the music folderPlease check that the path to the folder, and the username and password if needed, are correct.Reason: Access to the shared folder “\\MYCLOUDEX2ULTRA\Public\Shared Music\iTunes” is denied.This is successfully connected to iTunes on my PC running Windows 11.Have also tried with “\\MYCLOUDEX2ULTRA\Public\Shared Music\iTunes\iTunes Media” and just Shared Music.Please advise.

After the new update under system it does not show the type of connection no longer… 

It’s been a week since you pushed out one of the worst app updates in history. You flat out broke a lot of peoples systems and even if you are among the lucky ones who got it working you got performance problems and a massive loss of features. Roll it back, NOW.

It keeps telling me to log in as the owner and I do it but it don’t change

Hi. I bought three Sonos speakers about 6 months ago. And, was loving it. But, the new app is more demanding than the past. It asks me to open my Bluetooth each time I open it. The old one didn’t do that. I got a Roam for outside and it has a hard time finding it to a point where I’m hardly using it. I also haven’t figured out how to have one station in one room and a different station in another. The old app was very easy. Any suggestions?

Hi there,It’s pretty clear after the last shockingly untested software release that rendered my 12 Sonos speakers useless from one day to the next that I need to look for alternatives to replace what used to be a somewhat cool, yet always slightly buggy system.Any brand recommendations for wireless home speakers that actually work from a brand that actually cares for its customer base?  Has anyone tried anything from Bose?Thanks in advance.

I have a Sonos setup with two Play3 and three Play1 and also one Roam. When my wife has started a playlist and I connect through the app, I can't see what's playing.No music. The queue is empty.So I can't stop the music or change it.We have Sonos on two floors and our WiFi consist of an Orbi router and two satellites. The Orbi app shows excellent connection and upload/download is also good.So why isn't it working for me? And everything started after the latest update...

We bought a Beam last year to improve the sound on our telly. We bought an old smartphone so we could download the app as neither of us owns a smartphone. Sadly we now can’t update the app (after only a few months) so we can’t change the settings on thr Beam (e.g. turning off night mode). So my question: how can I change the settings on my Beam when I don’t have a smartphone? Surely it is not a requirement? If so, that needs to be made MUCH clearer when buying Sonos products.

Hi,Apologies if I am being an idiot but this has now driven me a little madI have had Sonos for some years now and over that time have added to it.I have a Play 3, 5 1 and a playbar.Historically I have changed my internet providers and had no issues.Due to having issues with unwonted connections I decided to rename my network and change password, reconnect everything and al would be well and it pretty much went like that for everything except Sonos.I was expecting it to say no system blah blah, have a change network, sign it in and be away but no, it refuses to locate any of my speakers.If I plug one in to the network its fine, finds all the speakers and works as it did, then I go into the manage networks, I deleted old networks and was expecting it top locate my new network and then just connect to it but when it searches it is searching for a speaker and failing to find one even though it is on and playing music from its wired conne

I often have trouble with the new app connecting to our system. The app also randomly adjusts the volume of our speakers and sometimes removes speakers from groups. I’ve tried using the system update option in the app but that has not corrected the problems.

Have a spotiy premium family account with 5 users. How do I add each user to sonos app so they can listen to their own playlists?

I don't appear to be able to update my Music Library using the new App. Any ideas?

Are there any plans to correct the hideous app update? CRAZY for sonos to alienate its customers. maybe their pants have gotten to big and they just don’t give a crap. where to start, hum, volume controller is not responsive and jumps all over the place and with 10 speakers tied into the system it is a cluster. why were the volume indicating numbers removed from the volume controller? how am i supposed to tell if the 10 speakers are set at the same volume level without them with with the non-responsive volume controller? why was the timer removed? This is for anyone who has Sonos speakers that want to upgrade from the old S1 app and system to the new S2 app.  I spent hours on the phone to support who may have been helpful in providing some knowledge on the Sonos system, but when trying to work with me to resolve my issue I ended up figuring it out myself.Sonos - iOS app for iPhone and iPad - version 80.00.08 as of 15th May 2024.I have two systems in my house, the new one had Sonos amps which I put on the new S2 app from day one so I knew that the system worked.  All my Play 1’s and Play 5s were on the old S1.   I also have a Sonos Beam and 2 Sonos 1’s (these are the tv ‘surround’ setup).First of all all my Play 5s were gen 1 so were not compatible with S2, the upgrade process on the app factory reset them and took them off the S1 app as the upgrade process apparently doesn’t work with them linked.  You then have to add them back into the S1 app one at a time.All my devices ended up needing several
