Controllers and Music services

I am no longer view my list of albums or songs downloaded from Spotify and cannot therefore play them. Can anyone help me please?

So the other day I went to play music from my sonos library  where the mudi  is stored on WD myhome NAS drive A I got was an error saying it can't  be found Then tries to update the music library and got a message like Mycloud/public/music is no longer available Then I tried removing the link to the folder Took a few attempts  but eventually  removed Now I can't add it back as a shared folderI have never had an issue with it before I can still access the drive from my laptop  and still able to add music to the folder Any help would be appreciated  

Is ‘recently played’ supposed to be functional or is that a feature not yet available in the new (May/June 2024) Sonos app? Thus far all I see is ‘your recent history will show here once you’ve played some content.’ I’ve played plenty of content. That message remains unchanged. I do have search history enabled in ‘app preferences.’ I do not see a setting to separately activate or deactivate recently played.Is this a feature still awaiting development in a later version of the new app, or am I experiencing a glitch?

I cannot play anything from Apple music. If I select one of my playlists all the music is there I can play any song but the songs keep shuffling to other songs in the playlist after 10 seconds of nothing and nothing ever plays.I can play Amazon music no problem, I can play Sonos radio no problemI have removed and re-installed Apple music, I have changed it from my primary streaming app to secondary. I’m at a loss and trying to get Sonos support… Good luck. The Sonos Support chat function keeps telling me all Support for Chat is too busy so it links you to call Support. Sure… Told that there is a 75 minute wait time. A call back feature would be nice.

On the old Sonos app, there was an 'End Session' function that is not on the new app.  My question is how do you end a Session on the new app without having to physically turn each speaker off? Thanks everyone

Haven’t been able to connect the system but all of a sudden music begins streaming through one speaker 1 (of 2). Checked the App on desktop (Mac) using previous v.version of app and it was playing. I stopped the service as we were watching tv. So my question is: what is causing an impromptu stream when I can’t get connected using the app. New version of App does not work at all unless I reboot the router. I look forward to a reply.

I can see that I am now alone - however I am beyond frustrated.  It has been several months since I installed a new modem and router.  At first I was able to struggle to get my 3 components on the network, however I had to add them each time I used the system.  After a month, I have been unable to get my system running again.  Repeatedly I have reset each component, restarted the modem and the router, added each component….only to have one or none appear in my system and then only on one device (usually my iMac.) My system is totally broken now.  It is a weekend now and of course after negotiating the website only the chatbot is available, which says I have to call later for an agent.  I am a very unhappy long time Sonos  customer.  Arrgh.

 I get a message that we are required to register an account and start paying  a subscription. We paid thousands of $ for our Sonos system and I refuse to start paying to listen to our local radio Station.  Am I reading this correctly? 

How do I go back to S2? This new app does not work at all and I am not waiting until Sonos decides to fix it in the coming months. I have read several treads now and @sonos does not seem to give 2 ***** about fixing it or what is doing to the reputation. I have been a loyal customer for decades. But this will make me sell everything I own and go to Apple. Maybe that’s what they want? Can’t believe these companies can just change **** that we pay for, so tired of these companies thinking they have the power to do what they want when it’s us that have to pay the consequences. time to go back to CDs and MP3’s with a good old receive and booming speakers they can’t just one day decide to not make work. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

Is the reason I cannot add my Sonos One speakers on to my new Wi-Fi network because of this horrendous ‘upgrade’? Using my iPad and / or phone, it just says it cannot find them to connect. Been on hold to Sonos Support now for 2hours 25 minutes and counting…

Since the app update, I’ve been unable to join two rooms on my system to play the same content at the same time. How can I troubleshoot this?

After the latest patch i have lost all my Tune-in stations- again- urgh!. I now see Tune-in (New) twice under Connected Services and can’t re-authorise either of them- i get the “Something went wrong Check your internet connection and try again”. This is really 3rd rate stuff i’d expect from some no name supplier - Sonos fix what you broke ffs.

Until Sonos upgrade their software to make the system usable, I am using Apple Airplay 2 to stream music from my iTunes library to a Sonos Port using my iPad as a controller. The Sonos Port is just an end point which is able stream from other platforms like Roon. The iPad controller interface with Airplay 2 is better than Sonos 2 V1. For playing on my main system or headphones, for the time being is a workable solution for me.

How do I fix “Sonos needs local network access for setup. In iOS settings, tap Local Network, then return to the Sonos app.”I open the settings and local network is already ticked, I have turned it off and on again I have deleted the app and nothing seems to work 

The last 3 months of Sonos ownership have been absolute hell.Any quick fix on the Apple iOS when your music queue is empty? I can not load anything to play - playlists / tune in station. Nothing plays. Great news that I can see all of my devices! Too bad none work. 

I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in Sonos.  I was coming from Bose Soundtouch.  Everyone has said how great Sonos is and how easy to use.MY SPEAKERS never work!  Either my kitchen speaker is there and not there constantly having to add it again and again.  Mind you it is a new speaker.  I have rebooted my router.  Connected to wifi.  All other wireless devices working in my house except of course Sonos products!!!  I have updated my products!I would never recommend Sonos to anyone!!  Any advice or help appreciated on how to use these extremely customer unfriendly software and products!  Most frustrating consumer experience to date! 

SONOS system no longer working, "Queue is empty"... "something went wrong"...WTF is going on with this crap SONOS?! SONOS state 55 minute on hold with no hang up / call back!!! WTF?? 

Trying to resolve a connection issue between Tidal and my Sonos app, I deleted Tidal from my list of music services. When I went to add it again, Tidal was not available in the list of music services in the drop down menu. Neither was Apple Music, which I’d also removed. I tried all the usual methods to resolve the issue; removed and reinstalled relevant apps and ensured all were on the most recent updates. I deleted the Sonos app from all my devices save one. I am able to play directly from Tidal to my Sonos devices, I just can't play directly from Sonos using Tidal Connect.Finally I contacted Sonos via live chat, we both concluded it was weird. They suggested I call the Sonos phone line for help which I did just now but the wait time is lengthy, so I’m hoping for some help here in the community.  Thank you.

I have over a dozen Sonos products in my home and have been a loyal customer since 2016.  I’m a huge fan of Sonos speakers and use the app daily. One thing that is incredibly annoying is Sonos Radio.  How do I remove or disable Sonos Radio from the app?  I use Apple Music, so Sonos Radio just complicates things when using voice control or the app to search for songs.  There has to be a way to disable it, right?  Thanks in advance!

Worked fine when the app launched but s topped loading a week ago and just isn't having it anymore. Will bring up the grey login page but once my details are added it just goes to a black page with a spinning disk. I’ve removed Brave shields for the site and cleared cache etc but no joy. Loads fine if I use Edge or Chrome Anyone else seen this behaviour or can suggest a fix?  

OMG the new app is absolutely awful… how do I go back to the old one. Even amazon music does not work with it.

I have a Move..I waited on the phone the other day for over an hour for sonos help with the new app (have not been able to get anything to play since new app applied) - after another 30 minutes it got down to the guy telling me that Sonos no longer supports MP3 files and that in order for me to get the new app to work so I could hear any music, I had to convert all MP3 files to FLAC format. I don’t see anyone else mentioning this on this site - is this true? This is incredible to me - why oh why oh why would you ever stop supporting all prior music formats...
