Controllers and Music services

I’ve just switched providers today, with new equipment etc and the Sonos app is supposed to still see my system and ask about the network, but it continues to say No products found

Since the last major update I have had trouble changing stations. (Among other things) The last time I was listening to Kiss FM. I opened the app and selected Riviera radio. It is playing Kiss FM yet it says it’s playing Riviera Radio! See screenshot below.  This is getting very frustrating. I am using an iPad with iOS 17.5.1 with a Sonos Arc, sub woofer and 2 Play 1 speakers.  Regards. 

I have a 17 device setup and have extensive 300+ song playlists on YouTube Music.They're leftover from the days when Google Play Music worked flawlessly with direct casting to Sonos, pre lawsuit days.Until recently everything worked fine, but today I noticed that the playlists are limited to top 100 songs, the rest do not show up!I deleted the service, reauthorized it, only to run into the same issue.Any advice of how to fix this?

So I see lots of “old” (i.e., several weeks old) threads on missing playlists and no resolution.System forced update yesterday, finally, and yes my playlists are all gone.Are they gone gone? Like, the actual list will never be found? Because I have lots of playlists and, of course, had no way to back them up.

[Edit - I meant to say “ever going to work”]It’s been several months now and basic functionality, like the volume control, still don’t work. I don’t know why I’m bothering to explain, since 1) everyone who uses the app knows this, and 2) Sonos apparently doesn’t read this forum, but:it’s now completely random whether the volume controls will take effect it takes 5-60 seconds to decide it often applies the change to some but not all rooms the room volume sliders bounce aroundAnd even starting a stream is a random process - the app thinks for a while and then, maybe you get what you wanted, maybe nothing happens. I was at a dinner party on Saturday, everyone has multi-room Sonos, and everyone is having nothing but trouble with the new app. I’m only highlighting one basic feature that doesn’t work. There are more. This is really inexcusable that it’s been months and nothing has changed. I guess the entire dev team

HelloHow can you set the speakers to the same volume number?I have ten speakers which by the end of the day will be on significantly different volume values as people listen to different music in different zones at different volumes, as is expected.Problem is I subsequently want to play music on multiple zones, but I don’t want the speakers to be at significantly different volume levels. In the old app you could ‘zero’ the volumes by adjusting the slider down to zero. Then all the speakers would increment back up in volume together.  I appreciate that different models of speakers might have different volumes even if they’re on the same number, but I’m talking about equalising large differences in volume here, rather than arguing how exact they need to be.  Is there a way to equalise volume in the new app? I don’t think it’s asking for much, for such functionality, from a product specifically designed to serve music across multiple speak

I literally can’t use my Sonos system now without drops and stutters. I see several convos talking about this, asking for a rollback. Seems to be some advice on how to do it manually, but others saying it won’t work.If anyone has managed to do it, please post here?

Hey,is it just me or are the station identifications on Sonos Radio HD channels gone? What I mean is this: “You are listening to Mellow Morning/Cocktail Hour”, “Dreamy and dark, Sunset Fuzz, only on Sonos” or “You are tuned in to Hit List”. I kind of liked this and I was wondering if this is yet another issue brought about by the release of the new app?  

Just updated the app to the latest release and entire controller is now Blank.No services - nothing. What has to be done to make this usable again?

Last Update, was ok,  not very easy to add my Arc , mini sub , and 2 One Sl. Trueplay with my ipad dont want to start. I have 1 start of thèse but no sound for calibration and it stop few second later. NOw it feeze before the beginning of calibration 

How on Earth do you clear music on this new AppWhere has the clear Queue function gonei can’t stop music from playing 😡 

Deezer is my streaming service of choice. It is displayed in the App (latest version) and on the Windows PC App but it is not available from the web/browser version. On the IOS S2 App (S2, buid: 80.04.04-release+20240627.fa7966dd1) , I am able to browse, play content from my Plex server.   However, searching the Plex music library gives this error:An error occurred with Plex.  Try again later.The Sonos application (version 16.2, S2, build: 79153290) on MacOS works fine for searching my Plex collection.  I don’t think that this error is coming from Plex.I switched to Plex for my personal library because I could not search anymore since the May updates.I am not a happy Sonos user since May 2024 when the new version of the app has come out.   Sonos should have done more beta testing before releasing.    The new version is flaky, buggy and slow.

In the new app, when starting Deezer Flow, Sonos treats the flow as a radio station: No scrolling is possible within songs, there is no back button and it is impossible to see the list of past songs.  this worked perfectly in the old iOS app.  Flow is THE central way to play music on Deezer - and the new app fundamentally broke it.  @Sonos: when will this be fixed?

The controls are not intuitive on my phone. Slow to respond. Volume goes down between use.

the latest update is not great, evertime i try to put music on in more than one room a msg saying “ canot connect please try later” very annoying 

HiI have discussed this matter with a Sonos rep twice and advised to check updates. I need some real customer service please.Prior to the new app I had dozens of Sonos playlists created over last 5 years. They worked splendidly. When I navigate to Sonos Favourites I hit the ‘Playlists’ view all and I see just one playlist !Please advise the method to use to view all playlists as per the S2 version (pre new app). Note I am using an iPhone and iPad.Special note that I have a Mac which is not updated and I can view and use all my playlists.If these playlists  have been swiped for good this would certainly be a huge loss for me. My future reviews and referrals to friends would highlight that Sonos used to be absolutely great and is now below par.

Again and again.... No connection while I am listening to the music. Not able to change music when I wantVery bad app update.... How to fix??? P'ease new version!!  

I have alarms set each day at different times. They were working. Now, when I toggled the alarm to OFF, the next day, they came ON at the same time. What’s the option, delete and hope it works next time? So many fixes, still so many bugs in this app roll out. 

Tidal has a “My Daily Discovery” which is categorized as a “daily updated mix”.  Basically every day it suggests songs based on my listening experiences.  Mostly it offers music that I often sent to my collection (Sono’s won’t let us play that as a playlist in new app!!). My question is I can pin it, but it does not change daily.  Same with “My new arrivals”.  These are two services I use frequently and yet to fine a way to do so on the sonos app. Thank you!

My SONOS life goes back to the ZP80/ZP100/CR100 days. I'm currently running an S1 system with 9 Zones (sorry, Rooms), including SONOS speakers and SONOS interface boxes driving powered and un-powered non-SONOS speakers. I have no serious complaints with my current setup, but always assumed that sooner or later I'd decide to upgrade to S2 in order to use some of the newer SONOS equipment. In fact, I had several thousand dollars worth (yes, even after the 30% upgrade credits) of S2 gear in my sonos.com shopping cart with finger poised over the "Place Order" button when I stumbled upon the firestorm surrounding the May S2 upgrade. My shopping cart is now empty.I'm neither a network nor audio engineer, but I've spent over 60 years in IT and know a bit about both of those fields and more than a bit about large-system evolution, distribution, and support. I figured I'd just monitor the discussions here on the SONOS forum and on reddit and Facebook and watch for the dust to settle.

Hi, since the new app is the worst app on the app store, how the heck I can add new speakers to my existing system since the app is not allowing me? Thank you.

I am now going to ditch Sonos products as they are causing too much stress.  All I want to do is play music and the App never works, speakers don’t work, it is absolute total rubbish.  Anyone who mentions Sonos to me I tell them to steer well clear - it is a total disappointment.

Hi,I have created an Amazon music unlimited account and I've One doubt regarding the music quality.I've a Beam Gen 2 + Sub Mini + 2 Ones and I've seen that I only get Dolby Atmos if I send the music with the Sonos app. If I send the music using the Amazon music app I can't get Dolby Atmos sound.Do you have the same issue?

Hello,We have MACs at home (MacBook Pos M2, Sonoma 14.5)SONOS controller has been updated to latest version (dated May 8, 2024 I believe). The link to my Music Library has been lost by the new controller. And now there is no way to add it back.It’s 2 days already I am on this problem trying all kinds of solutions and tinkering with all possible configurations of sharing permissions and other System Settings on the MAC. I have spent 1 hour 45 minutes with a SONOS agent on the phone trying all kinds of combinations, actions, MAC System Settins, usernames, passwords, at the end it was agreed that it seemed impossible to add a link to a Music Library on the MAC.Has anyone experienced this same problem already ? Have you found a solution to make SONOS link to the Music Library on a MAC ? I would very much appreciate your help.Regards, nunof
