Controllers and Music services

Hi,I can't play a radio station via MyTuner Radio anymore via the updated app. This worked all fine untill the app update (of last week). Even BBC Radio 2 can’t be played. If I use the app on my Windows computer it all works fine. The only error message I get is: Something went wrongPlease help!Thanks, MarcPS: I have tried all the usual stuff (un and re-install the app, remove and add myTuner Radio as a service)

Since the app released, my playbar tv setup will not work. It no longer can see the connection to my tv via the optical cable. I have factory reset my playbar numerous times and nothing works. Also, my gen 2 sub continuously disappears which requires factory resetting it and the playbar only for it to disappear again a couple days later.Please fix this broken application or roll it back to the stable app. I work in software development and your level of testing before release of the new app failed miserably. Roll it back or look forward to consumer action and significant loss of customers moving forward!

I’m having the same problem. Downloaded the S2 app on our two phones. (Mine and my partners). His app has found the speaker. Mine has not. Very frustrating. I use Sonos daily, have done for almost 10 years. Clearly not a problem with our network, it’s all working fine on my partner’s phone. Must be a bug in the app as downloaded to my phone. Literally everything is the same. Same speaker. Same phones. Same network. His app found the speaker. My app is saying nothing found. I’m so frustrated that it feels like they are making older speakers obsolete just through the app tech. The speaker was working absolutely fine (through the old S1 app) only 3 days ago. Not good at all. Also I’m holding on the phone line and it keeps telling me to go to support and find the answer. Literally no help or Qs on here to resolve this. 

I have a home theatre setup with Arc, Sub Gen 3, and two Era 300. As of yesterday (5 June 2024) the Sonos app on my iPhone doesn’t recognise my setup anymore and instead says “No products found”.  Please advise. 

Die neue S2 App läuft auf Android immer noch sehr holprig und teilweise gar nicht. Aktuell schon beim Aufrufen der App kommt “System nicht gefunden” - das lief schon besser, ist wieder unglaublich lästig überhaupt ins System zu kommen.Ich hab eine Musikbibliothek auf der NAS mit knapp 5.000 CDs im FLAC Format, darin viele Raritäten und rund 100 zugehörige Playlisten. Noch immer funktioniert nicht:Titel haben keine Coverfotos in der Anzeige Suche in der Musikbibliothek nicht möglich Einfügen eines Titels in die aktuelle Liste nicht möglich, obwohl jetzt wenigstens schon Buttons dafür vorhanden sind, die aber nicht funktionieren Anzeigen aller Titel/Alben des aktuellen Interpreten nicht möglichJedoch am Windows-PC läuft alles zum Thema Musikbibliothek grundsätzlich wie gewohnt. I’m using Tidal, but when I click on artist radio, Sonos only lets me play one song at a time. Obviously, I’m hoping to play a Radio of similar artists. It seems to have the same problem when I try Spotify. Any hints as to what I’m doing wrong.

Why is the Sonos app/ devices so flaky? The devices constantly disappear from the APP and there is no easy way to fix this.i bought a new sub mini, which connected when I first connected it but then said it was not connected and then completely disappeared from the App. I’ve tried everything from resetting the sub to resetting the router.  Nothing works. in the mean time, My Arc SL also appeared as “not connected “ in the App! When I tried to call support, I have a 60 MINUTE (!!) wait time!I am sick of Sonos! How do I fix these issues?  Bala 

I am an easy going islander. I am in IT and used to bugs, figuring out workarounds, even just accepting system issues, latency, and helping users with adoption and change. THIS? THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND FRUSTRATING BEYOND BELIEF and it takes a lot to rile me up. I have invested quite a bit in all sonos products excwpt the eros which I think are ugly. Finally experiencing buyers remorse after ~4 years? System chooses where and when it should play. Just now I could not connet to the amp. Workaround, connect to the arc and then add the amp. Aint I the smart one...wait...it won't allow me to increase the volumn...it finally connected...you can see the indicator but volumn at 0. Increase, and back down to zero it goes!! And that is just the latest...alarm to music doesn't work any more, instead it will alarm to chime and won't shut off...I had to unplug the amp...the list goes on and on... 🤬 Can I go back to the old app? I am sure no, because you are literally forced to upgra

The new app on android gives me access to all my favourites but on iPad it does not .why..?also all playlists on previous Sonos app have completely disappeared.annoying and disappointing.any one know why?

I’m not sure if this will work, but I’m trying to add my voice to the feedback on the new app.  It’s horrible.  Lag time is ridiculous.  I changed artist and had to guess when a song was coming up because the app was showing the previous artist/album. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to sync. I have 11 sonos speakers/devices.  I’ve never had a problem. The last few weeks have been painful to use.

I know there are many pissed off costumers with the new app. I certainly am one of them.  My main problem is that since the update I keep losing access to my NAS library.  I know the there is that SMB v1 no longer supported thing.  But I cannot see if my WD mybook 1.5 TB NAS is the case.  I went through all the settings and cannot see anything on which SMB version it has.  I would suspect it has v2 or v3 as it is only 5 years old.,  The strange thing is that everytime there is an IOS S2 update I loose my local music.  Only way to get it back is to use my windows sonos app.  Damn it is frustrating!!!  listening to music should be relaxing and Sonos has managed to flip that around.Anyone has any idea on how to fix.  So, if I change my NAS Sonos still has not re introduced the search capability, and honestly I think they won’t!  I will give it another month and if it is not fixed some people will get a very good price for my used Sonos HW

Hi,Everytime I try to log in to the app I get the message “Sign in as the system owner” The system owner must be logged in. Please log out and have the owner log in.!! First off it says a update is required.I am the system owner……Have tried logging in/out on the web site but still the same. Have deleted and reinstalled the app

I’m reinstalling my Sonos system in a new flat.  My Playbar successfully updated but my Play 1 (2) and Play 5 and Sonos Sub all return a 1,002 OR 30 update error.  I don’t have any Bridge product and I have restarted all my Sonos products many times as well as my Router and it still will not update. Are there any other suggestions I can try?  My new WiFi network is recognised, and the app shows they need updating before use.

The new controller is extremely (to be nice) unresponsive or at time just not functional. You have to pause the music dozens of times to turn the music off. The volume will just change with our anyone commanding it to go up or down. Speakers are just randomly dropping off the entire network causing me to to factory resets to attempt to get them re-connected, with minimal results. For the price of the devices their new controller and interface are subpair. Has anyone found a fix to this? Or is it time to move on to a new branded product? 

HiThe system dropped out o Saturday all of the streaming services would not play with either unable or error codes.On Sunday I got some response via my outlook 10 pc and got BBC 2 to playStill problematic on mobile got to be a software problem it opens up but all the streaming services are in the background and gray

After two hours on the phone to Sonos support last week I was finally able to add my music library back. Despite all the extreme frustration of recent weeks I was pretty happy with the outcome, and the support I received. However, predictably, something else has now gone wrong. Nothing happens now when I try to update my music library to index new music added to iTunes over the weekend. It did work once, when I added some music on Friday, but as of yesterday (Sunday 14th) nothing at all happens.Is anyone else experiencing the same problem, or does anyone have any fixes for this?

I have a Playbar, did a factory reset on it and after a painfully long time managed to get it set up to the local WiFi through the app. Issue now being that it won’t appear on the app at all. I’ve been through all the different ways of setting it up (wired/wifi), logged out and rest the app, unplugged the speaker and everything else that’s on the forums. There’s still nothing detected on the app and no sound through the optical cable. It says playbar has been added but may not appear system setting, I’ve unplugged and still nothing,Any ideas ? 

I've had a customer's system up and running for over 2 years. We've had problems all along, but nothing like now. The new app will not recognize the existing devices in the app for device selection, however, it sees them in the About System/Sonos System Info section. Even after a complete system reset and new setup, it showed the system for about 5 seconds, then dropped it again. I have spent no less that 15 hours troubleshooting Sonos issues that are due to this new app without compensation, since this is neither my fault or my customer's fault. I've been a Sonos System provider for over 15 years and this is by far the most unreliable and frustrating experience I've ever encountered. With products from Denon/Marantz and others making their way into this realm, and the crazy price increases over the past two years, I would expect more from Sonos. Shame on you for causing these issues, not supporting your custom AV dealers (financially), and not owning up to it when cal

Enjoy your Sonos!Now that I’ve got your attention. The title of this post while accurate is not a cry to this community for help. This is a community and some things cannot be resolved by constant complaining within it. I recently discovered that the balance control for iOS and Android devices within the Sonos Amp doesn’t work when a sub is connected. The work-around is to use the MacOS or Windows Desktop controller. Rather than rant and rave here in the community I contacted Sonos Tech Support to get an answer and working together we (I and Sonos Tech Support) uncovered the temporary work-around. G

This app suddenly decided to stop allowing me to select volume and speaker groups right away when I open it. I understand that every fanboy wants to tell me that it's my network but nothing's changed with my network. What changed was the app. It updated and now it doesn't work I'd like it to work again please wouldn't that be nice? Can you please fix the app. I sent two messages to support without reply. And I'm a little fed up with this. Who is behind this?

sonos said update would be mid June for missing library on their system  after the update to app last month ….its nearer end of  June and still can't access library on my sonos system..I use MACAnyone and ideas or when this will be resolved any help be appreciated

How can I disable the new web app controller?I don’t want direct access to my sonos system from over the internet. Moreover, I don’t want hackers to be able to control the speakers in my home if they gain access to my login credentials.

Hi,The last update doesn’t allow me to add tracks onto my Spotify playlist. The previous was allowing this.When will this be possible again?
