Seems I am not alone with this issue:Sonos App on MacOS running Catalina 10.15.7.Cannot add any of my own music library.I have an ’offline’ library of around 50,000 songs, originally in managed in iTunes, and now in Apple Music, on the laptop. I do not run any streaming. And the music is stored on an External HDD. (Although I believe the library ‘database’ remains in the internal HD, in user/music. The library is shared in MAcOS settings.) Downloaded the latest app - Sonos_79.1-53290.dmg and installed it. Head to Manage Music Library and click add music folders + sign. So far so far.Here’s where it gets interesting: click on ‘My Music Folder’, and the whole app simply freezes, and has to be forced closed.Click on Add ‘another folder or drive connected to my computer’, browse to the same folder Apple Music points to on the External drive, enter (my) administrators details, and for a good 10 minutes, it spins the disc, with ‘please wait, adding share information ton Sonos System’, follow

I have been unable to use my iPhone 11 as well as now my newer iPhone 11 to control my system.  It has been about 12 months now not working.  The desktop app is working okay.  I have done everything to troubleshoot. I have restarted my network several times by unplugging the router, I have factory reset the speakers several times as a last resort, I have deleted and redownloaded the app about 10 times and made sure my privacy settings was set to allow sonos.  My network hasn’t changed any settings.  The app connects to my system and recognizes all of my devices and occasionally it will let me start some music but then I can’t control the volume or stop the music.  I am using version 2 of the app and all my speakers are compatible. I have been unable to reach sonos support for help.  Any advice or help is much appreciated. 

Hi, I used to be able to search for artists, tracks, albums, etc. in Napster on my Sonos Controller but now when I tap on search I get ‘unable to browse music’. I can select music from all the other options in Napster and they play okay but cannot search. I can search on Amazon Music no problem.

Why does my Music Library setting disappear every night?I have a share set up on my NAS box (QNAP) and every day when I go to use my SONOS system it cannot find the Music Library. When I log onto the Windows 10 client it has no entry in the path so I have to manually set up the path and rescan for all library data.Not exactly the last word in convenience, anyone know why this is happening.System is:Connect PLaybar 2 x Play 1s in Stereo configuration Android Phone The dreaded new Sonos AppHELP!

I don’t understand why the new App doesn’t include the WM:0 and WM:1 information?

Hi,I experience the following since the new app is availalbe (black background):App says it cannot load any content...on my iPhone 13 which is up to date The TV room is always lost when listening to the music, I have to add it again all overIt was not a problem with the former app (golden background).Is there any fix to that?Thank you 

Along with everyone else, I trusted the Sonos QA process and upgraded to the new app when it arrived. Lesson learned on my part and shame on Sonos. There’s enough written here already about just how mind bogglingly and unfeasibly s*** the new app actually is but I haven’t seen anything  mentioned yet about lagging ?Specifically,  when I try to adjust the volume on my speaker using the mobile app the system refuses to accept the change and it defaults back to the previous volume settings.  It’s the same on the EQ adjustments.  So I try again. And the app refuses the adjustment. But then 30 seconds later the volume goes up and down and up and down again. The only way to adjust the volume or EQ is with patience.  One setting at a time, until it sticks.Adjustments on volume and EQ used to be immediate no matter how many settings were being adjusted.Please, fix the latency/lagging between controller and speakers. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.  

The new app has just been downloaded to my IPad. I notice that the equalizer has been removed or is hidden somewhere. I use the equalizer quite often, so this is not an improvement.Can anyone confirm that the equalizer is fone, or if not, maybe explain where I can find it.Thatks

I have been using Sonos for many years, very reliable and pretty much rock solid. My system consists of 4 Sonos Connect Amps and 3 Sonos Connects. Everything is hardwired, direct Ethernet connection from the Sonos equipment to a switch and from there to the router. WiFi is disabled in every Sonos component.Lately I have experienced that Spotify is very slow when controlled with the Sonos app, but specifically in the connect amps, not in the connects. In the connects the volume control, skip, album cover is almost instantaneous, either with Spotify or local library. But with the connect amps volume change takes 10-30 seconds, skip 5-10s and so on when playing Spotify content. With local files works fine. Very frustrating.spotify works perfectly outside Sonos with my phone or desktop app.So no WiFi related since everything is hardwired, any suggestions where the problem could be? The wierd thing is that it happens only with my connect amp devices.Also the Sonos devices have a reserved ip

I have no idea what is causing it, but my whole Sonos system (two Era 100s, Sonos arc + Sub Mini) is currently a bunch of bricks.  I wasn’t a fan of the new app, but I still could listen to music. Then a few days ago started getting random pauses in the music, some speakers dropping off, music stopping altogether. I tried everything in the settings, with networks, etc. Out of desperation, I figured I’d do a factory reset on everything and just re-build the system from scratch. I did that, but now I get “error 1,000” or “error 1,105” or whatever and I can’t register the speakers. They just sit there in the Sonos app as “not registered” and I can’t “fix it” because I just get more errors. I’m located in Canada, btw. I’ve seen things about people using VPNs in the US to get around this, but I don’t have US VPN on my router. There used to be a way on the old app where you could adjust group volume but dragging overall volume to zero, lifting finger, and then increasing the volume. All speakers would then have synced to the same volume. The new app seems to have lost this feature - is there another way of doing it I haven’t found?

I’m using the Amazon service but cannot find a way to display album or track info.

We have this situation:3 different devices, on two (2) the Sonos app finds the system and works. On one device, with the updated app version, it does not work. The devices:a) Iphone 14 - IOS 17.5.1 Sonos App vers 80.04.04b) Windows PC - windows 11 Sonos desktop vers 16.2c) Android 12.0.0 Sonos App vers 80.04.05-release + 20240702.edb3233Same wifi networkThe app installed on Android and Windows devices finds the Sonos system and works.The app installed on Iphones does not find the SONOS system.We are not talking about a single IPhone 14 having this problem. We have this model as a company phone: about 50 employees. All employees with this app version cannot use SONOS. Those who have the older version of the SONOS APP installed (light brown icon), on the other hand, can manage the system via the app.

The new app is not great. I type in a music artist and it populates Top Songs by the artist and you cannot just shuffle all those songs and can only play one at a time. This ludicrous but am I doing something wrong? It’s ruining my time by the pool with my Arc, Sonos One surround sound and recently purchased Sonance outdoor speakers. Please advise.

I have a music library on my MacBook Air running Monterey 12.7.4.  I am unable to get Sonos to access it- when I try to set it up, I get told that my administrator name or password is incorrect (which it isn’t!).  I have quite a lot of content including obscure folk music and digitised classical music which isn’t readily findable on streaming, and it is very frustrating not to be able to connect from either iPhone or computer.  I have the latest update of the app.  Any solution??

Hi SonosWhen can I expect the previous challenges with the new Sonos app to come through?Today I have challenges with the fact that I can't get DR P4 radio to play on my Sonos system at all. Likewise, there are family members who have challenges connecting to the Sonos system. It is really challenging after the new App and certainly not demanding to speak well of Sonos in everyday life.Looking forward to hearing from you.Best regards Martin

Hi I have updated the app. I can only play one song at a time from Spotify before looking for another and loading the next. I can't add songs to a list. What am I missing? Thanks for advice Alan 

 App is on Android Phone.I want to edit the Home page of the app but if I click the “Edit Home” button, the items seem to be grayed out.Nothing happens if you click on one.Is there a way to fix this?

By carefully following hints on this Community I was able to once again view my Music Library through the Sonos App. I have an older iMac and did the following: This must be done on the web based Sonos app. There is no method using IOS on iphone.Enter File settings and change sharing to SMB Give proper permissions to Sonos to view Music folder. Enter correct path-link to My Music folder. Enter the Sonos app (web based on iMac) and Add Music folder using NAS.Having done all this the following observations are made:There is no way at present of searching My Music Library through the sonos IOS app. Searching the Music Library can be done in two ways: through Spotify Library search or through Sonos search on the web based app.Good Luck to All ! 

The new app SUCKS , the inability too group rooms is terrible . You can’t mute without putting the volume down, unlike previously where you can just click the volume control and immediately mute. Please bring back the last app was perfect. 

I’ve been using Sonos for 5+ years. Besides setting up your system, I am confused about what is the Sonos App for? My use case is really basic. I would like to see at a glance what is playing on all my speakers. Help me easily combine speakers for the source I want. But it’s clear this is not the top use case for the app. What does everyone use the app for? What is the user interface optimized for?—————————————————FWIW: here is my experience trying to use the app for my use case above:When I launch the app, it shows a recently played that’s always empty.My connected services (Apple Music & Spotify) - the Sonos interface takes more taps to get to the playlist and album with the nested menus. It also slower since it doesn’t seem to cache locally. So I usually have the music already playing from Apple Music or Spotify.My sources: which only shows the TV. I don’t understand the user value to start from the Sonos app for external sources. It doesn’t allow me to control my TV. Floating P

Cannot get Sonos to recognize Sirius Canada, or always get a failed to load-try again later. Previous solutions suggested change password-done that and updated apps. What’s required?
