I have a network of Sonos speakers around my house consisting of Play 5 (1st generation), Connect and IKEA Symfonish bookshelf speakers.  All of my speakers are connected to my network with Cat6 cable.I play music saved on my file server and use TuneIn radio streaming service.I use Sonos S1 Controller on Android devices and Windows 10.I use my first generation Sonos products with Bluetooth Transmitters via the headphone jack so I can use Bluetooth headphones.  I dont seem to have any issues at present with the first generation speakers.My issue is when playing music from my file server, songs keep skipping while partially played and often the music stops playing and I need to hit play again.  Also, while playing radio over TuneIn it may stop and I need to restart it again with the S1 Controller.I am not sure if the problem is the S1 Controller or the IKEA Speakers.Can anyone shed some light on this issueand offer advice.Thanks in advance.

Hi my Sonos in the kitchen keeps cutting out. I’ve read lots about set up and have 3 boosts (2wired) for my 13 speakers in the house. Sonos in kitchen is 5ft away from and other appliances and less than 20ft from a wired boost. Any ideas? My diagnostics report submitted is ref 1151083272

I have S2 running on two laptops; Windows 10 and Windows 11 OS.   S2 was working fine.  Now neither  laptop can find my SONOS system on my network.  I have made no changes to my wifi network.  I’ve downloaded and reinstalled S2 on both laptops.  When I try to connect to an existing network I get “Your SONOS product was not found”.   Did SONOS change something on the windows S2 app?  Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

HiThe right satellite speaker from my surround system (Playbar, Sub, 2x One sl) is out of sync. I sent a diagnostics report (1275133206).What can I do about this? Any tips?   

Connect:AmpSoftware Version: 67.1-25031Hardware Version: 1.17.3.1-2.1I have a TV playing audio through the Connect:Amp’s line in. The volume is loud enough and everything works well apart from one thing.If there is some audio produced by the TV after a period of silence, the Connect:Amp misses the first second of the audio. If the audio after the period of silence is less than a second long, or not loud enough, the Connect:Amp does not output the sound at all to the speakers.Would anyone know how to solve this annoying problem?

Does anyone use a Sonos AMP with a 3rd party sub?When I try to change the subwoofer level in the app the app crashes. I have tried it on 2 android phones but both of them behave the same.

It’s utterly mysterious and frustrating. Our sonos will one day work, one day not. Will one day connect, and one day show no signs of wifi. Nothing changes in our house. We’ve tried all sorts of rebooting and resetting and restarting and nothing works. It’s absurd. The amount of work we put into trying to get Sonos to work defeats the entire purpose of Sonos. We’ve had it for years, but this is too much. If anyone knows of any obvious fixes, we welcome that. We use the latest iphones and our Sonos 3 speakers and app are up to date. We aren’t tech noobs. 

I started with a Sonos 3 in my kitchen. Worked pretty well, but finicky and needed resetting several time.  I added an older Sonos 5 to my living room.  Same.   Then I added a Move.  Great when it works but an absolute PITA to keep the system running.  I’m forced to use the S1 app because the 5 is too old to use the S2 app but that worked fine until  a few weeks ago when something happened with our router and we had to re-establish everything connected to it wirelessly.  Alexa, the printer, wireless controlled lamps, and (sigh) Sonos.  And it has not worked right ever since. For a while, the app could find Kitchen and Living room OR Kitchen and Move, but never all three.  And now it can’t find anything but kitchen despite a router reset and following the “find lost device” instructions.  And I sit here not listening to music AGAIN.  I would never in a million years recommend this system to somebody I like who isn’t a fn networking engineer. 

Hello Team, I want to send commands to sonos to group between multiple players, but I want to do it in my local network setup, don’t want to use cloud api, so how can I do that, please help.

I recently had days of my devices disappearing from the app, only to reappear, my radio music stream dropping out , and when trying to reconfigure it failing to find server and new devices etc ..tried all the suggested fixes to no avail. Having a long look at things as aeverething was originally working fine and this only started to occur out the blue with no changes to my sonos or my network i had to look down teh lines of wifi interference, but not seeing anything with my other network devices. But in teh process i founf=d teh the follwoing. My router wifi network is a a BT smart hub, which select the wifi channel best for my enviroment autoselect a channel that least interferes with other neighbouring networks, in my case when i checked it was channel 11. BUt when i check teh app on my iphone the SOnos was set to channel 6 ( settings, systems, network , Sonos channel = 6).. I have recently moved and after setting up my Sonos system in my new apartment I am experiencing various issues with the system. I've not experienced any big issues with Sonos before but now more or less everything is malfunctioningI have two Sonos one speakers that I cannot include in my system. I have made factory reset of the units and added them several times without success, after addition I receive a message that they might not show in the Systems tab and I need to unplug the speaker for it to show up but they never show. I have also used the Find missing products function but it does not help. When starting the Sonos app, it often shows Cannot connect to the system. After a minute or two the greyed out Account and System tab starts flashing and after some time it is connected. Search function is randomly not working (spotify is connected) Even though when I am playing Spotify through the Sonos app the search function is indicating “No service connected” when I search. I have a Sonos Amp that constantly loses connectivity. As soon as I start playing via the Amp, connectivity is lost within minutes. This is an ongoing issue and has been going on for many months. Please advise what is causing this issue and how to resolve. It is extremely frustrating. This is a relatively new device (9 months old) and having looked forward to listening to music through the Sonos amp it is becoming more than frustrating and incredibly disappointing I have a device that does not work as it should 

I have the very first generation of sonos and when I connect my iphone (either via Spotify or directly via the Sonos app) and listen til music - it sounds like an AM radio, breaking up og sound disappearing..

Hi all,I’ve been troubleshooting for a while now, but haven’t been able to locate the problem:I normally play music and podcasts on my Sonos devices through Spotify, and this has been working fine for a long time, but suddenly my sonos devices are not detected anymore in Spotify App. I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE with Android 12. Sonos devices are, Play 1, play 3, Sonos One (pair) and a sonos AMP, connected on a mesh wifi net with Nokia beacon 1. Stuff I tried:Restarting phone Reconnecting to spotify account in Sonos app Playing Spotify songs from Sonos app (works fine) Updating Sonos speakers from PC app Restarting wifi network, power cycling router (a technicolor router I got through my ISP) Toggling the “show only local devices” in Spotify settings (normally set to “off”, but neither option works) Checking mesh wifi status though Nokia app (didn’t change anything as this is also from my ISP and config is locked - and has worked fine until now) Disabling my DuckDuckGo App trackin

Strange problem.  I have a pair of Fives.  If I’m playing ripped music from the Apple music app on my iPad or iPhone, or from the Amazon Prime app on either, it will play a handful of songs, and then stop.  It’s always at the end of a song, never in the middle, and happens pretty much every time I use it.  It might be after two, three, four, five, etc.  No consistency.  I use my iPhone daily in my car with CarPlay, and it’s never happened.  I also have a HomePod in my office that I stream to from my iPhone (also AirPlay), and it’s never happened there either.  So it’s two different music sources, two different devices, and only with the Sonos speakers.  I also have the Sonos skill setup and can stream from an Echo, and that never stops.  Anyone else experience this?

Hi.  Spotify steaming jumps tracks and completely stop several times a day but  Sonos radio streaming works fine. I have tried to log out everywhere for spotify and it improves for ½ a day then renders usless.i have a fibre broadband package 100Mbs with no data limits.Any thoughts to stop this track jumping and stopping would be most appreciated.

Like many others, my playbar stopped playing sound from my TV.  I tried many things like everyone else to rule out TV and optical cable.  Also, TV sound settings are set to PCM and sound set to optical.Unfortunately, the power cable for the playbar is running behind a wall, so i am unable to try using the playbar with a different TV, at least not easily.Is the optical port on the playbar known to go bad?  Or, is that unlikely and I need to troubleshoot some more?

I am running Plex server (with a Plex pass) on my NAS, and the connection usually works fine. I am able to browse to my Plex and play music successfully from there. If I search for music, it will find hits in Plex, but if I then attempt to go to there, I get "unable to browse music". I've tried restarting everything I can, I've re-authenticated, and it's been doing this for a couple months.

Bought a SONOS one today to replace my broken echo. Set it up to work with Alexa, along with my other devices around the home. I have a play bar in the lounge and a Amazon echo in the kitchen. My new SONOS one is in my bedroom. I noticed almost straight away that it will play the wrong song, but by the correct artist, if I interrupt a currently playing song to ask for a new one… see below… For example, if I say “Alexa, play Waterloo by Abba” it will play the correct song…. But if I then say (during the song), “Alexa, play Beat It by Michael Jackson”, it will say “Now playing beat it by Michael Jackson” but will play a completely different song by Michael Jackson. The only fix, is if I say “Alexa, STOP”… and then ask it to play the new song. My echo device before did not do this. Any ideas?! I’m using Spotify as my preferred music provider. Thanks

Morning,  So…..about a week ago my internet died, had to restart my udm pro a few times to get things working again. Whole network is Ubiquity.  Since then the sonos speakers that have been working for years started playing up. Oddly 3 of them work (wirelessly) but then the wired one of the system which you’d expect to work refuses to play at all, unless it’s grouped to the others. Show music info on lock screen S10 works with Spotify app but not with Sonos app.  Why?

the link station or hub will have no wi fi connection...can i then use a phone cable to the 5;s and playspoitfy is that possible or a similar solution if yourinternet is down and will be down for some timebut your phone is still on

Like others who have posted, I’m so frustrated that the notifications to upgrade to S2 block me from using Sonos.  The recommended solutions are to go to the system menu and confirm you want to stick with S1.   But there’s no way to open the app on my older iPhone.  I just get the notification with Download Sonos S2, More options, or Learn more.  After trying to download S2, I learn it does not work on my iPhone 8, software 14.8.1.  “More options” offers no useful options and “Learn more” is even more useless.  So the playbar/woofer only work with the TV, to which they were previously set.  The Play1 in the kitchen only plays one radio station, to which it was set.  There’s no way that I can find to open S1 and/or change the settings on my devices.  I have tried resetting the system, reinstalling, etc.  All either will not work or makes no difference.  All the posted advice in the threads assume that one can open a Sonos app, but the S2 notifications make that impossible.  I would add

When I stream multi-room including my study (where the port is the only device) several times a day the music will stop in the study with no error visible in the app (but continue playing in the other rooms).  when I check the app, the study is no longer selected.  If I add the study back again it works for awhile (sometimes minutes sometimes hours) before that room falls out again.  it doesn’t seem to matter what streaming music service  I use although I use SiriusXM most frequently.  All of my devices are Wi-Fi connected and I’ve done some basic troubleshooting (Wi-Fi signal strength measuring, google mesh testing, reset router and all mesh devices etc.) without changing the nature of the problem.   where can I start to troubleshoot this - is there an error log someplace I can check? if you have access to support diagnostics, my confirmation number is 220085643. thanks!!  

I added SirusXM service to my Sonos controller.  I can make it play through the speaker if I select it within the Sonos controller, but if i ask Alexa to play it, I get a message that the account has been closed and to talk to Sirus and/or Sonos.  I have re-loaded the service multiple times, downloaded the Sirus software App to my PC, changed PW and user names on the Sirus site and then in Sonos, all with no luck.  I get the same message.   I don’t understand how I can play it through the Sonos speaker when selected within the controller, but can’t access through Alexa/speaker.  Suggestions to get this to work?
