Hi there,

I’m trying to group my rooms and the options, “+” and “Everywhere”, that are seen below are missing from my app. Any thoughts on how to address this?

Group and ungroup rooms | Sonos

Thanks in advance,

s.

It’s a feature that’s only available if you have more than two Sonos ‘Rooms’. How many rooms do you have in your setup?

There’s a possibility that your speakers and your controller are on different versions. Check in settings>system>system updates to see if their are pending updates that need to be applied, either to your controller, or the speakers.

If that doesn’t work, submit a system diagnostic , and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and network.

@Ken_Griffiths

Interesting… good to know. I only have two Sonos rooms at the moment so perhaps that is why.

@Airgetlam

Thanks. I actually reinstalled the app and ran updates. Is the two room limit mentioned by @Ken_Griffiths a known limitation or do you think I should still move forward with support?

Thanks!

@sndr,
Perhaps also see this thread and particularly note the Sonos App message displayed in the screenshot posted by the other user ‘jamsandwich’ here...

As @Ken_Griffiths mentioned, ‘everywhere’ has no purpose when you only have two rooms, so the controller won’t display it. It’s not a ‘bug’ in the software, it’s the way the software has been programmed, and not any sort of limitation. If you only have two rooms on your Sonos system, there would be no need to reach out to Sonos support.

If you only have two Sonos rooms, at least one of them will currently be selected on the Rooms menu.  To group all your speakers so as to play on your whole system requires one tap, to select the currently non-selected room.  You cannot make it any easier in the controller than one tap, so ‘Everywhere’ is redundant in this case.

Ah yes. I see how this would be redundant for only two rooms. Thanks everyone!
