I set up playbase, sub and two play:1 - all was good. Then the playbase stopped working. I did everything I could including factory reset. It only works with an Ethernet cable and won’t work over WiFi. That would be ok except the two surround sound speakers cut out every second and is totally unusable. All the sudden no sound I have 2 play bars attached are two separate TVs. One in the basement and one upstairs. Last night all of the sudden no sound would come out of The upstairs television/play bar. I then went to the basement to check my other set up and the same thing is happening. The upstairs television/play bar. I then went to the basement to check my other set up and the same thing is happening. I checked my Wi-Fi and everything is good with it. Any ideas?
Good morning, I have been having loads of problems with my Sonos One’s losing connectivity. I have done everything I can think of and also taken advice here. Today I removed (older), Play One’s from my surround system (paired with a Beam), and installed the One’s in my TV room. They will make a stereo pair but I cannot create a surround. I get an error message on the App saying they are not compatible products. The One’s are 18 months old with latest software. The Play One’s are older. WTF is happening to my system? It has been brilliant for 16 months and a nightmare for 2 months. Advice please. TIA.
HAVE NOISE/HUM from SONOS. I switched to a McIntosh C39 pre amp and now I get a hum whenever I switch the input to SONOS. All components are plugged into an APC Power Conditioner with battery backup, so it's not likely dirty power or ground loop. I've tried swapping cables, tried running through different inputs, updated SONOS software/app. The noise is a low hum that sounds like digital interference. It's constant when Sonos selected whether playing music or no music playing. ANY IDEAS HOW TO FIX?
Hi Bit of an odd one:My iPhone’s Sonos app can’t see my speakers. But they still work fine with the app on my wife’s iphone as well as an Amazo Echo Dot. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app on my phone but it now says it can’t detect a Sonos system. Tried turning Wi-fi on and off and restarting the pho e too. it did this once before and took a couple of days to resolve after which it worked fine for a while. But it’s very frustrating! Both times with the new gold app.
Same question as found in a post over 1 year ago, yet no replies and over 143 views. Can anyone provide an answer? (hello, Sonos support?). I’ve searched forums and have not found similar issues, questions, etc.In the Sonos app (Mac desktop), under 'Group Rooms' and 'Select rooms to group', what is the difference between a groups box that has a white checkmark with a blue fill background and a black checkmark with a white fill background? Upon initial selection, all boxes have white checkmark on blue box. At some point, the boxes on select groups (typically the same groups of speakers) will change to black checkmarks in white boxes. Frequently, but not always, the speakers in the group with the black checkmark in white boxes will no longer play.
I have a Sonos 5 first generation and all of a sudden it went dead. The white light does not turn on. I tried some of the tips from the internet but nothing happens. Does anyone knows how or where to fix this in Europe?
My Sonos has taken to dropping off the system - the useless support page tells me to connect through Ethernet (which is awkward) so I do that, and it recognises the speaker until I stop using Sonos. Next time I open Sonos, the speaker has gone again. Wifi is strong, Playbar and Connect are working. What’s going on?!Also what has happened to Sonos support - used to be able to email them - now it’s just Monday to Friday - not very tech support..
I’ve setup the alarm and it seems to work - music starts playing in the correct room at the correct time. I get the alert notification on my iPhone that should allow me to snooze. However, I just get a “Can’t connect to product” error when I try to use snooze. Any ideas? Is this a known bug? thanks!
Hi all I found an old closed thread about this. Has there been an update about the snooze iOS alerts not working when you try to select the snooze option? I keep getting “can’t connect to product” errors. Has this been acknowledged as a known defect/issue? Are there any known workarounds as it’s unusable at present. Thanks Bob
Hi my Sonos app vant find my Sonos speakers. I assume it is an IOS 14 issue, as the rest of the household using earlier IOS/Android have no problem. It keeps telling me I have to give it access to my lokal network in the privacy settings. But I have given access! I have also restarted the app and I have restarted my router. What to do?
SONOS showed that my system needed an update. So today I ran this. Since this update I cannot play any radio stations at all.
I can’t turn off Hardware volume controls, so when I’m listening to music on Sonos and watching a video on on my iPhone SE 2020, when I try to turn the volume up on my phone it turns up Sonos speakers (extremely loud) I’ve tried enabling “hardware volume controls” on and off but it makes no difference. Any help I would appreciate.thanks.Ross
Have a weird issue with my Amp/the Sonos app. Occasionally and seemingly at random, the “Sub Audio” option will come and go from the Sound section of the settings menu for the Amp. I’m guessing the amp only shows the option if it detects that there is something connected to the subwoofer output, and thinks there’s nothing there - even though the output is still putting out a signal, and the subwoofer is working. Then at random it will come back, but not always. The sub is a Fyne Audio F3.8, with power switched to permanently on, not to auto. This can be pretty annoying as I often tweak the sub levels in the evenings to knock the bass out a bit, but it means sometimes the option to adjust just isn’t there.Any ideas on what could be causing this?App version: S2 / 12.2Amp version: S2 / 12.2 (61182310)
Hello, I just installed outdoor speakers and connected it to the amp + ceiling speakers. However, the app doesn’t detect any new speakers. Does the outdoor speakers connect to the Sonos app like all the other speakers? I connected the speakers in parallel so not sure what’s the issue. Thanks.
Diagnostic code 1902997893 my Sonos plays then cuts out all of at a sudden, then I can’t find then Sonos then it comes back and cuts out again.why is this please and what can be done
There are many topics here on S2 intermittently having issues but many of them are specific to issues like Spotify. I am noticing that after upgrading to S2 successfully (including getting rid of incompatible Sonos devices and purchasing a new one to ensure compatibility!), that several of my speakers will drop out of the network frequently -- often daily. I use the main controller app on iOS, OS X, and I do use Spotify and IDagio to drive the speakers. My internal Wifi network is comprised of enterprise-grade networking gear -- current generation Ubiquiti UniFi gear. As with several other commenters in the forums, I’m a network engineer by background and this is NOT an issue with the stability of the underlying network. But, to eliminate that possibility, I put one of the speakers on wired ethernet. The problem persists. I have a group consisting of a Play:3 and Play:1 in my office, and a Play:3 in the bedroom next door -- and a separate group consisting of a Play:5, Playbar,
My app very rarely works. It will go for a few days of working fine, then it will stop. When I try and open the app it either opens and freezes instantly, or opens and then closes straight away. My husband has no issues with his so I don’t think there are any issues with our system. I have an iphone on 12.1 which is supposed to be supported by the app. I have deleted the app and re-installed it, I have re-started my phone - neither work. I can still play music via apple music but am unable to select the speakers in there as they’re jammed in a group via the sonos app. It’s very frustrating! Any suggestions please?
Hi All, I knew it couldn’t have been that easy to cut the cord. Everything was working great; almost suspiciously. Then our internet provider (Spectrum) sent us a new cable modem AND router (our previous unit was a combo modem/router). Gradually plugged everything back in with no problems (see breakdown below). Every time we plug in the Connect it kicks everything off the network. Tried unplugging router, tried reinstalling app, tried connecting the Connect wirelessly instead of wired, tried factory resetting the Connect, but no dice. Everything BUT the Connect works well. One thing I noticed is that our previous modem/router offered 5.0 GHz and 2.4 GHz networks, Our new wireless router only has the one network to choose from. Below is our system setup. ANY/ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!(1) Playbar + (2) Play 1s (Surround) + (1) Boost + (1) Connect (connected to turntable): Living Room - all plugged in directly to router (+ 1 Roku Ultra) (1) Play 5: Bedroom (1) Play 1: Kitchen (1) Play 1:
Not sure where to report this but when I go to https://beta.sonos.com/, sign in using my "previously" working credentials, I get redirected to https://beta.sonos.com/login/oauth/2/authorize?p=OAuthCustomerLogin&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fbeta.sonos.com which respond a 400.
I keep getting connection to Mixcloud lost. Nothing will play. Is this a known issue?
My Sonos is not working after rebooting WiFi and rebooting the app
I have my Spotify account connected to my Sonos and play background music for my dog when I leave the house. When I come home it’s off. Shouldn’t it keep playing? How do I make sure it stays on? Thanks.
Following the update to the IOS Sonos app v 12.2 the “Line-In” is not playing sound through any of my 8 devices. Prior to the software update it worked flawlessly. Is anyone else having this issue? You can see a typical play back in the screen shot. The dancing bars look normal for play back. All other sources play back normally. It’s just “Line-In” that isn’t working and it’s driving me nuts! 😂👍🏻 I have tried the following:unplug all components and plug back in (power) unplug lan cables from Port to Lan Router and plug back in Unplug RCA cables from all components and plug back in
