Room (on new Amp) appears on some S2 apps but not on others? All hardware up to date. Reinstalled S2 app and the problem persisted. What’s going on?
Hi,The socket on the optical port on my LG TV is broken and sound no longer pays via my Playbar. I have read that you can get and HDMI Arc to Optical converter. Should this set up work in theory?
I am having issues with my Sonos Play 3 and the S2 app on the iPhone. The Play 3 is in my garage which borders my family room where my Fios router is. I have a Boost connected via Ethernet to the router. When I am using the S2 app in the garage, the app says I’m not connected to WiFi (even though the phone itself is still connected to WiFi.) I can’t search on Spotify within the app, and I can’t control the Play 3’s volume. As soon as I go through the door into the house, the app reconnects and works normally. I’ve tried factory resetting all of the speakers and the boost. I’ve also tried resetting my router. I’ve tried changing the wireless channel for SonosNet I also tried changing the wireless channel settings on my router from automatic to manual. Nothing has helped How do I solve this problem? thanks,Rich
I have a Sonos setup with Port and Play1. It worked fine until I changed my email adress on Sonos. Suddenly no sound came through the port. The network is okay, cables are ok, and the port shows normally in my Sonos app. I do get music through the Play 1, bu not the Port
I haven't used the Sonos app for a while as I have been playing from Spotify to the speakers so cannot really say with confidence how long this issue has been around. However, since using the S1 app, so I suppose since march, it has not been able to find the Sonos system. When attempting to connect to an existing system, it prompts me to press the mute and vol+ buttons, which I do, which the app recognises me doing, but after a couple of minutes of scanning, it fails to connect. On Android it tells me it has connected and returns back to the setup screen.I have 4 1st gen play 5s which I have owned from new for around 9 years, one of which is connected via ethernet.Spotify is still able to communicate with the devices when playing via my phone and recognises the stereo pair I have, so something is working, just the official app seems to struggle.I noticed when logging into my Sonos account that the devices were last registered 14-16 march 2020 but not sure what that actually means.Any
I want to set up two subs in my living room surround sound, can this be done?

Hello,I have a Sonos Play base and every time I try to set up the Play base on the app my wireless connection is not picking up. I’ve tried factory reset and unplugging the Play base but still no luck.I also bought the Sonos boost since it has its own Sonos wifi connecting the boost to my Wifi router but still no luck again & its not picking up my Play base to set it up in the app.I need help on solving this problem it has been going on for a while!
I recently purchased the port component to integrate my 5 speakers surround system with Sonos. Set up was easy - problem I am having is only two of my five speakers are playing (the front two). I confirmed via other sources that all five speakers work fine so its something going on with the port. To confirm, the port should be able to stream all five speakers, correct? My receiver is set up as “Stereo” which normally would play all speakers in harmony (not surround sound). Appreciate any assistance with this!
Hi, last few days my music playback from Spotify stops and skips on my Connect:Amp. Other products (Playbar, 2xPlay3/ are ok. Im on S2 thats been working great until now. Tried to reset Connect following the instructions but with no luck...The system is able to recognize the device even after an attempt to reset it, so Im not able to set it as a new device…Any help would be welcomethanksj.

I have a Play5 and have successfully linked it to iTunes on my windows 10 pc. More often than not the sonos app complains that it can't find the server. This is usually fixed by either rebooting my pc or the router but it happens a lot and is spoiling the enjoyment for me. Anyone else come across this problem?
I seem to have a rogue track on one room setup ( Beam plus 2 Play1’s). Not on the queue playlist but just appears and unable to stop/delete or play any other track … really weird - anyone got ideas or solutions
Hi I have a mixed S1 + S2 system comprising two Play:5 (1st gen), one Play:1 (1st gen) and one Sonos One. I am running the S1 app. Last night a guest connected to the system and I think she was using the S2 app and may have tried to run an upgrade which failed. Not sure of this. Anyway - now only the two Play:5s work, while the Play:1 and Sonos One both display as “Not compatible”, and according to the help pages, I need to remove these from my system now, and reconfigure them from scratch. I am trying to do this, but in the S1 app the product removal tool is not an available option to me. What to do?Best regards Marius
A new issue has arisen in recent months: the radio blips, sometimes several times and hour. It goes silent and then after a few seconds it comes back. I followed all these suggestions to no affect: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/305?language=en_US First I thought it was my 6 year old Connect being, well, just old, but the same issue is happening on 2 brand new Ones.
HiMy Alexa is still not working properly. It will turn the TV on and off etc but on asking to play any music source it responds that it is doing so without any sound. If I ask it to play a specific playlist, skip, rewind, pause etc it just turns the volume up. This is on all my voice controlled Sonos products and seems to have started with the latest issue of IOS. I have submitted another diagnostic report no. 511485704 for you after asking it to play Spotify and Amazon. I am disabled and invested a heck of a lot to have voice controlled systems to let me cope and thus I find this totally unacceptable I’m afraid.
All, Just spent 90 minutes on the phone with Sonos support, they had me running in circles. Hoping for some guidance here. Long time very satisfied Sonos user, my system is old. Bridge, (3) Connects, Connect Amp, and (5) Play:1 speakers. The wall wart power cord for the Bridge died, so the system was without wireless connection. No Ethernet connections in my old house, so I hauled a Connect in and attached it to the router. System came back up in my Sonos S1 app. Questions for the forum:Do I even need to replace the Bridge with a Boost? None of my Sonos components are near an Ethernet connections, so I suspect I do. Or can they all just communicate on my home wifi now? If I need the Boost, is it backwards compatible with my old system, or am I better off finding a used Bridge on Ebay? I’ll start reading through the forum here and learning what Sonos has done in the past 4-5 years since I stopped paying attention. Honestly I’ve been enjoying my system, and I couldn’t spend anoth
Hi, new to the forum and I’ve seen several iterations to this question. Bottom line though is that my 4 different Sonos speakers are encountering the same problem. I get songs that skip, and then just don’t play and I get the message: Unable to play “x” connection to Apple music lost. What is frustrating is that I’ve spent 4 hours this week on the phone with Sonos support (the phone support is awful) and after 2+ hours last night and one disconnect from Sonos on the call, the guy told me to call my internet provider and have my router changed to “bridge mode.” When I called my internet provider today, they told me that bridge mode is an outdated old term and take the issue up with Apple. Folks, I made the plunge and invested big $ into my sonos system and it is now useless to me. This problem seems to be an old one, and I recognize that there are various iterations of solving that you might need to go down, but it is frustrating not to get any answers from Sonos. I’ve run multip
To whom may concernCan someone help me?? I have a sonos five. I have an accident and it seems a woofer driver got damage? Can somebody tell me where can i buy a woofer driver to replace the one got damage? Thanks a lotSincerely Daniel
I have had this Sonos One for a year now with no problems, until yesterday, it couldn’t be found on Spotify, I tried turning the speaker off, nothing, deleted and re downloaded Spotify, nothing, restart router, nothing, I then go to the app, and it does an update, but then it says it can’t connect to Sonos, then I see there is a new app, I download that, it has me do the update again, but it still says cannot connect after doing the update, I have plugged it directly into the router and it will play music through the app but nothing else, and as soon as it’s unplugged it can’t find it, I have factory reset the speaker, and tried to set it up again, and it did find the device but as soon as I tried adding it to the WiFi, it loads for about 10 minutes and then it can’t find the speaker anymore. I don’t have any other ideas on what I can possibly do or what could be making it suddenly not work. Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.
Hi all…I recently replaced a Connect with a Port in order to be able to play music via AirPlay to a pair of Play:1s in the same physical room (my old setup: I would AirPlay to an Airport Express that sent audio through an amplifier to a Connect that then talked to the Play:1s. Complicated but it did work).Using the guidance here I did the following:Created a Room for the Port and a Room for the pair of Play:1s Enabled Group Non-AirPlay Products in settings. Created a Group for the above two Rooms. The good news is that I can get this setup to work in order to stream music from a browser over AirPlay, as desired (I sometimes use a web-based streaming service that Sonos doesn’t support). However, the experience is incredibly clunky: the grouping must be maintained from the macOS desktop Sonos client (S2 groups on iOS do not work), the Group gets unpaired all the time, and often the Port can’t be selected as an output option from macOS Sound settings. Basically I have to go into the Sonos
My Play 5 gen1 no longer has any audio. It was a rapid decline. Initially the volume would rise and fall on its own and then cut out. It’s not muted. The control centre recognises the speaker as Scullery so it is connected to the group. The volume can be adjusted via the app or control but has no effect on the actual speaker. The other 7 speakers on the system are all ok. can this be age related as it is about 7-8 years old….. ?if it’s a fault can it be repaired?
I have a playbase and two play:1 for surround. Soundbase stopped working yesterday. To fix it I’ve tried:• Restart devices• restart router• update the app• update speakers• hard reset speakers and re-add to system• playbase giving me issues with the wi-fi config (connection error/unplug power cord/not connecting to mobile, etc)• ethernet cable on playbase to finish config. Worked fine• re-configure surround group• plug the Ethernet cable off and playbase disappears. No solution. So basically the playbase has stopped working via Wi-Fi and I can’t do anything else to fix it.nothing has changed in my setup that could cause this issues. Rebooted my router many times. Spend multiple hours trying different things and still no solution.any suggestions?
So I’ve had this speaker for over a year and recently it has started to disconnect from my WiFi randomly. It will just stop playing the song and when I try to get it work through Alexa it says it’s having a problem understanding. When I go into the app it says that it cannot cone t with the speaker because the speaker isn’t connected to the WiFi. Everything else in my house (tv, computer, phone, tablet) is all still connected so it’s not an internet issue. It won’t work again until I have unplugged the speaker and plugged it back in. It is doing this daily at this point. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I just moved into a new house and received the newer Xfinity XB7 Router. I am having issues setting up my Sonos network. I have my Gen2 Play 5 wired directly to the router and the Sonos rep said they can not see the device in the cloud. Has anyone had same type of issues with XB7 Router?
