Can't open S1 app - prompts to open S2

Hi 

I have a play3 and a play5 1st gen. On the Sonos 1 app, i could play them no problems as a pair. Now when I open the sonos 1 app it says I must upgrade to the Sonos 2 app. But the Play5 1st gen is not compatible with the Sonos 2 app.

Try going into Settings, App preferences, and choose  ,Reset App. Then try to Connect to Existing System. 

Or can't you get that far?
