Hi,Just installed a Asus Aimesh Wi-Fi system based on 2x XT8 routers. After that my Sonos speakers dissapears from time to time and playing music works a couper of second or minutes before stoppning.Ive reserved IP addresses for all sonos speakers, but that did not solve it either.Ive also factory reset a couper of speakers, but still the same. All my other devices works flawless on Wi-Fi.Any one else experiance this?
Sonos (on my Mac desktop and my iPhone and iPad) have lost the connection to speaker and wants me to reconnect… So, on my Mac (running 10.x), it wants me to update to 11.0, which I let it do. But it is stuck (for 3 hours now) on Updating controller: Installing - the progress bar shows 100% (see screenshot). I have tried Force Quit the app, and starting again and I have rebooted my system , but I get the exact same problem. Any ideas on how to solve this?
Having issue with music service from Spotify keeps dropping and hard to initialise to play.Have Sonos ConnectAmp, Sonos 3 and 5 with two new Symfonisk. One symfonisk is more difficult than the other, this keeps me thinking if this is a HW issue rater than SW issue.Wifi coverage is good with Aruba Instant. Sometimes the app opens on iPhone with only Sonos Connect:Amp as choice.Sonos Case ID = 509267816 and 394517229
I have a Beam connected via wired (router -> relay -> Beam). Plus a Sonos 3, also wired (router -> Sonos 3). The house has a WiFi network from the router and it all works fine.I'm trying to connect another Beam which is in a garden room, that has a wired TP Link bridge (router -> TP Link -> Beam). The TP Link also has a wireless network, that has a different name to the house.I'd expected the Beam to be found by the Sonos system, because they're all wired to the router. But no joy - when my phone is connected to the garden room WiFi network, it can't find my Sonos system. I'd settle for creating a new Sonos system for the new Beam, it doesn't need to interact with the other Sonos products.I managed to get it working by setting the new Beam up wirelessly in the house, then moving it to the garden room. But when I'm on the garden room network, the Sonos app sometimes finds the Beam (but not the other products), or can't see any products. The hit and miss Sonos system conne
I was having app connectivity issues so decided to upgrade to S2. Since then nothing but problems. through the app my speakers are rarely found, but they are through Spotify!whenever I open the app most of the lists are greyed out, and after 30 seconds or so it says it is unable to find my system; but Spotify finds it!As I’m typing this my speakers are going on and off.I’ve ripped the boost out of the router but the speakers are still playing intermittently and I can’t stop the music!!!!I invested in a boost some months ago and all my issues were resolved…...until I “upgraded” to S2. any ideas?
I have 5 Sonos speakers (2 stereo pairs of Sonos Play 1’s and a single Sonos One) on a Tenda mesh network (because of the stone walls) with a Sonos Boost (set on Channel 1 with no other traffic on Channel1). Our house is a 200 year old stone cottage with thick walls The music sources are a Cocktail Audio streamer (acting like a NAS) and from Plex. The system has become virtually unusable, with constant drop outs and error messages saying the network speed is too slow to buffer, and that the system cannot access the Cocktail Audio or Plex on the network.I am using the S1 controller. The system was working fine, but suddenly it has become awful. Internet in our rural area is so-so (around 10 Mbps with the occasional drop out) but generally usable for most things.Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be happening and if there is anything I can do to help matters. I thought the Boost would fix things, but seemingly not.
So this is a weird annoying bug or issue. I have a sonos connect amp gen 1 and a few other sonos speakers. On the mobile app, it works just as expected, no issues. However, in Windows (10), the s1 desktop controller lists all other speakers except the connect amp. If I group a speaker together with the connect amp, it also vanishes from the desktop controller, ungroup it, and it returns, instantly. It’s like once grouped, the desktop controller cant’ see it anymore. Is this a bug or a feature? Things I’ve tried that haven’t workedResetting the desktop controller Rebooting everythingOn desktop: On android. When I ungroup. Hi, The radio (could be spotify too) stops playing but does not resume. When I manually press play the radio resumes directly. Is there a way to have “permanent” playing that forces resuming the sound when there is a disruption? I’ve bought a new router but the problem still persists. Thanks
I have the Sonos beam, and was using two play 1's for surround. Bought two Ikea symponisk book shelf speakers to add to the system. Got them to connect and finally play audio from the tv, but they would not sync with volume controls. Been at it for hours now. Removed the play ones and was able to get the Ikea ones to be the rears to the beam, but now I can't get the play ones to reconnect. Also can not get or find true play to tune the speakers. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this. Looked at YouTube and non of the things they do show up on the S2 app.
Just got a new Sony tv and Sonos playbar from Costco. Every time I try and sync the tv remote it doesn’t line up properly (ie when tv volume is at zero you and still hear sound from play bar). Other times it is very soft from playbar while tv is at high levels - ie over 50 (of 100) on tv. I was doing this with an Apple TV remote and read in the forums better to factory reset and set up with actual tv remote then use Apple TV after the fact. None of this seemed to resolve the issue. :/ Appreciate any thoughts you have.
I have two Sonos One (a year old), and an older Connect (I can’t figure out what generation but it’s at least 3 years old, I would guess), and connect via iOS (running 14.3) as well as desktop. I was connecting just fine, then the Ones kept having issues, dropping off the network, no longer able to play. I connected all of my devices to ethernet cable and reconnected them to the network. This worked for a while, then stopped again. The only machine that would work consistently was the Connect. I tried switching wifi, turning off the security for that wifi, which i had read as a possible solution, and again, works a bit then not.I connected the Connect to ethernet, and all of a sudden, my issues seemed to go away. I can’t keep the ethernet connected since it’s in another room, but it got me wondering about the system maybe seeing the Connect as the primary hub for my system, and if it was connected, the others could be too? Since the other devices have a microphone and the Connect does n
The old app prior to the S2 split always worked for years, never had a single issue on any PC, it always just worked. The new apps S1 and S2 on the Windows platform are so temperamental. When I launch the app I get the splash screen and that’s it. I get a corresponding process in Task Manager, but it’ll never run up. There are no messages in Event Viewer, nada. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled and it still will not launch. If I uninstall, reboot and then reinstall it’ll work briefly. But the next time I launch it’ll likely not work again. This has been going on since you changed the app style and split them to S1 and S2 (neither now work BTW).I’ve tried upgrading patching on Win10, downgrading, trawling event viewer and scouring the OS for logs that may help. I’m running Win10 Pro 64-bit. Rebuilding is out of the question as it’s my main dev box. I don’t run AV other than Windows Defender, there are no funky internet connections, I run a wired connection to my router, which just connects
I’m using an Apple TV remote. Used to be able to control sound on my playbar but about a week ago it stopped. Paired it again using the sonos app and it works for about a second but as soon as the sonos app closes it stops. Same with my Samsung remote. Now sometimes it doesn’t pair. What happened? This is super annoying. Also, there’s no way to contact support just community. Is there anyone who can help with this?
Hi i have these systems: Living Room, Living Room 2 and Bathroom.Suddenly I can't group all three together, but only LR & LR2 and LR & Bathroom. But not LR2 & Bathroom.Everything worked good the other day.
In the bedrooms we have sonos Ones with alexa which all work fine. Downstairs we have ceiling speakers powered by a sonos Connect amp, which is connected wifi to a sonos boost. Downstairs, we can play two or three songs then the music stops. happens on all streaming services, spotify, apple etc. happens all the time. any ideas please (and please keep the solution as un-technical as possible!!) thanks
Had a playbar with a surround setting with gen 2 sub and play 3s now at new home with play ones. As soon as i plugged in the playbar, high pitch noise appeared. Read other posts, is it possible to correct this problem? Any help with this would greatly be appreciated . Unplugged the whole system, could not deal with the noise.
First let me say everything is working.I had two Sonos Amps and a Sonos Sub connected to Wifi and setup as front and rear TV speakers. All connected wirelessly. Now, I just connected the two Sonos Amps to each other with an ethernet cord and then a single ethernet cord from Amp to an ethernet switch which is connected to eero router. Sonos “About My System” shows WM:0 for both Amps as well as the Sonos Sub. Mind you the Sub has no ethernet cable connected to it. Everything works. I know, I consider myself lucky. :)My curosity comes from how Sonos is reporting the WM:0 and how it is reported in the eero app. It shows as a wireless connection, and also on the details page shows the “Sonos” wifi network. Kind of cool! (Screenshots below)So my questions are…why don’t the Sonos speakers show up as wired? Is there a way to confirm the wired setup beyond the “WM:0”?Should disable wifi in each of the Amps? (not really sure why this setting even exists...) Thanks!
I’ve bought a new NAS Synology DS-220+.I want it to be a source for my Sonos Music Libray. When i want to add the path to a folder of this new NAS, i receive a “error message 900”.I precisely executed the instructions found on the Sonos support site (IRPStackSize). It doesn’t work. any idea ?(Please note that if i try to add a folder on my old NAS, it works fine !)
My 1st Generation system worked fine for 9 years then suddenly couldn't find my system components. Boot-up of the controller suddenly took 20 minutes. I use my Mac desktop for the controller. I hardwired the Bridge direct to the computer and the S5 Speaker, and still couldn't find the system. I hardwired the Router direct to the computer and speaker, still couldn't find the system. Reset controller and can't find sysytem. Checked Network, Firewall, Password and still can't find system. I understand that Sonos no longer supports these legacy components, but all components seem to function properly, and Company CEO says system lock-out won't happen. Anybody have any ideas of what else to check for?
I have a Play 1 that started having intermittent connectivity issues. If I unplugged it and plugged it back in it was sometimes recognized but after time there is no light and it no longer will be recognized. I tried the factory reset to no avail. It’s past warrany and I’m wondering if this is now a black paperweight?
Ok, I am running the current version of Apple’s osTV on an Apple TV4K. I’ve been apple to connect my Sonos One to earlier versions of osTV with only minor annoyances (need to reconnect all the time). Apple has recently update the Apple TV 4K and I can no longer connect to Sonos One via Airplay 2. I have two other Apple TV, one with an earlier release of osTV and I can still connect to my Sonos One. I can also connect to my Sonos One via my iMac (MacOS Big Sur) and my iPhone/iPad (running the latest releases of iOS. I’ve reported this to Apple Beta Feedback Assistant but have not received a reply. I am not sure if this is a Sonos Issue or an Apple issue but wanted to post this to see what feedback I can get from Sonos.
Hi i have a pair on sonos ones the buttons on one are not working I can say command's OK the other one is fine diagnostic number is 72928739?
Has Sonos and LG solved the audio synch issue with OLED TV’s?
Unable to connect sonos 2 speakers to new router. I have looked through previous related topic which haven’t resolved the issue.I have set one up using the Ethernet cable, all 3 of my speakers work fine. Tried to set up the wireless connection, the app finds new network, lets me put in the new pass key, then it won’t connect. I just keep getting this message. Can anyone advise?
How do you speak to someone in the US for Tech support ? Service is horrible
