Our Sonos SL keeps loosing the internet connection after not used a couple of hours. Works again after unplugging and plugging in again, but it is kind of uncomfortable. Tried using the connect button, but it seems it doesn’t restore the connection. If it’s the problem solver, how long should it be pressed in order to work?
the newest app on my iphone, only use the Apple Tv as source. Tv set to external speakers. Put Apple to sleep last night as usual, this morning no sound. Apps played, reset including power on all components. App kept just showing Music. Finally saw the output from Sony ARC port to the Beam
I have just one Symfonisk speaker that im attempting to connect to a unifi AP. Everytime i attempt to connect to it, it can not find the speaker. If i hard line it to the Managed Switch it works without a problem. Even after i pull it off the switch the app can no longer find the speaker.
I have two Play1 speakers. They work fine from a Windows laptop using S2 app, however none of four Apple devices (two iPads and two iPhones all running ios14.2 with S2 apps installed) can find the system. Broadband router is Sky Q. I have been through all the recommended solutions, including using Ethernet cable (which works fine whilst connected but then the speaker cannot be found on wifi)I can’t say whether the problem started when Sky Q router was installed or ios14.2, as I didn’t use Sonos in the couple of weeks between the two.Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hello all!So this is a super weird issue. I have had 4 SYMFONISK Sono speakers for about 18 months now. These speakers have been phenomenal and have never given my any issues… until today.Today I noticed that when I opened the Sonos App, it said that it could not connect to Sonos and the icons were all just the pulsating gray loading color. I gave it a few hours because I wasn't using them and it never fixed itself (I assumed it was wifi issues).I then went through and reset all 4 of my speakers and created a new “system” on the same wifi network. Now after doing that, I began playing music and only 2 minutes into the first song the music stopped and I began experiencing the SAME issues. This issue also included my products missing under the “System” option in the settings. I have been closing and reopening the apple for some time now and now one of my stereo pairs went from not existing to being “Bedroom (L+?)”. I am not sure why it keeps disconnecting from the products that I JUST con
My surrounds and sub came back thus morning but my 4 ports are still missing.Your confirmation number is: 1031610429.
Is there a specific amount of latency when plugging a source into the line-in on a play:5?Considering plugging a DJ into a play:5 so that the play:5 acts as the local “monitor” and ideally needs to have very low latency. The next scenario is then “grouping” other speakers to distribute this audio around the home…. I presume this will then add latency to the whole system so that all Sonos units are in sync.…So are there specific details on the amount of latency (in ms) involved? Is it system dependent, does it actually have latency regardless of whether it is grouped or not?
My system has decided my products are not registered to my account.I had these for years and no issues so very recentit won’t let me register blaming timternet
Hi, I have recently upgraded the SONOS app and added Amazon music, after a day the sound on one sonos one speaker (there are 5) is poor, sounding very muffled. I am about to add a Sonos port to the system, but I’d rather clear the sound issue, assuming I can before I add it. I have read other posts about similar issues but very few show a resolution, any advice ?CheersJohn
I've owned my Sonos system for around 6 years but have recently bought a Play 1 to connect. I have a Connect Hub, and two Play 3s. I use the S1 app as they are older devices but when I go to add a new device it asks for my login for an email address that is nowhere close to my own "s***e@gmail". Im baffled as to how this has happened and am incredibly confused on what to do. Please help!
I just purchased a Sonos Move to use in my bedroom and want to connect it via bluetooth 5.0 transmitter from Amazon that is plugged into my projector:https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B013ULOP10/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1How do I get the move to connect automatically to the bluetooth transmitter? The blue flashing lights on both the move and transmitter just keep flashing blue...
I have a new Sonos Amp with 2 Sonos One SLs. I’ve hardwired (2) 125W Proficient Audio speaker selectors (4 port each) to the back of my Sonos amp. I currently run (3) Proficient Audio dual tweeter speakers indoors (Speaker Type - indoor/ceiling): Proficient Audio C825TT, 150W, 8 OHM) and (4) Proficient Audio dual tweeter speakers outdoors (Speaker Type - outdoor): Proficient Audio AW600TT, 125W, 4 OHM). All 7 of my Proficient Audio speakers are hardwired with Genesis 16/4 speaker wire. My Sonos Ones are easy, run and sound great but all the hardwired speakers have volume control issues. When listening to music they always automatically decrease in volume to a setting I estimate to be around 15% but the Sonos speakers remain loud.I recently read on this support page an article that stated the Sonos amp couldn't run a 4 ohm speaker. Not sure if that is true. I’ve followed all online troubleshooting tips and cannot get them to work in unison with the Sonos amp and speakers. I’ve read tha
So I restarted the Sonos One by disconnecting the power cable from the socket. When put back in no power to it. No lights, no connections…I tried the cable from the other working Sonos one. Nothing. Any ideas? To me it looks like the PS inside is not working, or am I missing something.
HiI am having constant problems with streamed music and radio dropping out. This is particulary prevalent in the mornings. I usually group a Sonos 5 (1st Gen) and a Sonos Move in the morning, the drop outs happen on both speakers at the same time. I have tried changing the wireless network channels on my router, but this does not solve the issue. Some days are worse then others. This morning (16th December 2020) it was cutting out every couple of minutes for 10 seconds or so.Any help appreciated.ThanksSteve
I lost my connection to Sonos. Now, when I try to connect with my iPhone, I get the Existing System Not Found message and when I ‘press and release’ the button nothing happens. When I try to access Sonos from my tablet I get the ‘Sorry, we can connect to Sonos’ message. I’ve tried resetting the router: still nothing. Any ideas?
Hi folks, not sure if anyone has ever experienced this but I will try my luck here. When I initially purchased my Sonos Amp, I intended to use a third party sub. I hooked up a Polk sub using the RCA cable and it worked fine. However when I try to use it again (watch TV through HDMI) or listen to music, the “Sub Audio” menu went missing and subwoofer is not working in the first couple minutes. As shown below in the picture, the sub menu no where to be found. After about 5-6 minutes, the sub menu appears and I can start hearing subwoofer now. Seen below.Over the next couple days it always happened, whenever there is sound playing in Sonos Amp, the sub comes in after a few minutes went by. During the process, I did not raise the Amp volume or touch anything on the subwoofer sideAny idea why this is happening? Thanks in advance!
I am trying to find a way of playing music from my iPhone via my Sonos One speaker at a location where cellular data is available but there is no LAN or internet connectivity available via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Is it possible to use a Sonos One on a closed network without internet connectivity? Or does Airplay necessarily rely on being able to connect to the Sonos cloud? If so, exactly what hardware do I need to create a Wi-Fi signal that I can use to connect to the speaker via Airplay? Or is there a way I can turn a cellular data signal into a Wi-Fi signal and for it to behave like a regular local area WI-Fi network?
This is extremely frustrating.Installed new wifi last night - went to reconnect my sonos speakers and used the prescribed process - found an ethernet cable, hooked it up, nothing, over and over again for an hour - two different speakers same problem. So I finally got fed up with it and reset the speakers using the hold play button while plugging it back in until green LED shows up. Hey guess what? that doesn’t work either.I’ve tried every combination of wired and wireless to set these up on my network. “Resetting the router” isn’t really an option since my kids are e-learners. I’m using an AT&T (Arris?) modem/router with Circle Home Pro connected that feeds to Google WiFi (3 nodes). App is installed on iPhone XR. This all worked fine prior to last night. I have reset the speakers and the apps multiple times. When wired, it gets to the step that it says connecting your speaker and then says lost the connection and nothing can get past that step. When wireless, it gets through Wi
I've seen lots of stuff on this subject but not understood much. I've set up a mesh system using TP-Link Deco. The one thing that doesn't connect is the expensive Sonos kit, natch.I don't want to connect it using an ethernet cable (it's why I bought a WiFi enabled speaker system) but even if I did, it doesn't work. The sonos S1 app on my phone is telling me to connect a speaker to the router but it isn't finding it - just Searching for Product.Any non technical help would be appreciated
I’ve just bought 2x S1 speakers and an Arc for my tv room. Throughout the rest of my house I have old S1 app-compatible amps and bridges etc. and an S2 compatible Sub. These all worked fine until...I installed the S2 app on my phone with a view to using that for the TV room. But now I can't pair the S1 speakers because the app says it requires an update (the first speaker works ok though). When the app begins its update it fails with an error code 30 (ie it detects non-S2 compatible devices). Ok, so to remedy this I open up the S1 app to try and remove the S2 compatible products (the Sub) but the app says I first need to perform an update. This then gets through to the finishing up stage then gives me the error code 9 (unable to update because of S1 incompatible products being detected)… I’m now caught in a never-ending loop from hell and can’t set up the new S2 compatible products properly.Any ideas before I completely lose it with Sonos (which is sad given I’ve been a huge fan for
I have a 2 room system. In the kitchen i have a Sonos One. It’s the speaker that is the furthest away from the router. About 5 meters and a thick stone wall in between. In the livingroom I have s Sub and 2 Symfonisk. They all stand within a 1-2 meter radius from the router. These 3 keeps loosing the sound. While playing music on the whole system the kitchen works fine but the speakers closest to the router keeps loosing the connection. What is wrong?
We have speakers in different rooms throughout the house plus a home theater system. Over the past couple of days the speakers have slowly disappeared from the app. I once had 5 different ones and now I am down to 2. I try to add them back in and nothing is found. I have turned them off etc. what the heck. Nothing has changed in our WiFi or anything else in the last couple days. Help!
New Sonos Fives (stereo pair) finally installed and wondering if I missed something in setup from app. Things went to plan until I had to push “the flashing green and white button”. That light doesn’t have a visible button but thought all 3 icons are just touch sensitive so 10 presses on one speaker before unpacking the other for 10 more futile presses. App shows Five image on 1 Setup screen but 2nd image on next screen (closeup of button) shows button not on a Five (different Sonos product?). Retraced app instructions and went to website for same troubleshooting tips. Chat was another waste as I’m following instruction and typing another response when chat closed due to inactivity ( 3 sentences typed). Phone in support finally pulls back the veil by saying the button is on the back next to the power cord. Viola!SummaryPhone support worked great. Still had to use wifes iPhone for setup as Android (Galaxy 10) wouldn’t connect. Correct me if I missed something but App setup seems
Our Sonos system is about 2 years old and includes a Connect which Chanel’s our stereo system and two Sonos Ones. I found the old system finicky, but this new System 2 is even worse. The Connect will connect to our wireless network briefly and then lose it. It is close to a Roku that is wireless and with with we have very few connection problems unless there is heavy internet traffic. I have updated the components of the new system and keep reinstalling the Connect. But it will not stay connected. Very frustrating!! Help!
Hi,I have used a Sonos Play:1 for some years now, but when I moved to a new house my Play:1 hasn’t worked properly with alarms since, while with playbacks of all kinds (streaming or from external media such as external hard disk connected to router) it has been doing great.I have searched and read many topics on this and tried rebooting my router, checking wi-fi signal in the house (very good, it’s a small flat on just one level), changing channels (both SonosNet’s and router’s, tried 1, 6 and 11), changing stations (Sonos Radio instead of TuneIn), but nothing seems to solve this.In the old house I used also a Bridge, so I tried to use that again but to no avail. I updated Play:1 to Sonos S2 app but also this wasn’t useful. The thing I cannot explain to myself is, that while radio stations start playing when I set the alarm (usually in the morning, say, at 7.30am), they very frequently stutter, or stop altogether, sometimes some minutes later, sometimes even half an hour or one hour lat
